"Love the atmosphere and view of river. The waiter was very good.Although he was given a table for 12 at almost the same time he still gave us the proper attention. The food was good. We both ordered fish and it was well cooked. I think we were hoping for something more unexpected or exciting form this restaurant. Food was just a little plain for the price."

"We were immediately seated to a table next to the window. The restaurant was not crowded when we first got there so very quiet. The waitress was incredible....pleasant, helpful, very attentive but not intrusive. Never felt like we were rushed to finish our meal. The prime rib literally melted in your mouth and the cornbread....loved it. Almost felt like we were eating dessert with our meal. We are from Cedar Rapids so when we travel to Dubuque the Star is our preferred restaurant."

"Service was very good, table was ready on time. Fillet, grilled salmon and bone in tomahawk ribeye all excellent, would recommend the ribeye. Prime rib was somewhat tough people in our party were some what disappointed."
