"Last Sunday the sun came out only one day of a few this Spring. What better way to celebrate being able to be outside than to have lunch at Muffaletta. I was early but didn't have to wait for my reserved time. I was seated immediately outside on the deck.
Relaxing and great view of this quaint neighborhood near the St. Paul campus of the University of Minnesota.
When my friend arrived we ordered the spinach omelet with greens. Very tasty. Dessert was a key lime cheesecake.
Lovely Sunday lunch. I would recommend Muffaletta."

"We have been here a few times, not for several years, we were excited to visit again. Our server was TERRIBLE! He took FOREVER to greet us and upon greeting us he said, "What can I get ya?" He didn't recommend anything off the wine/beer list, he did not smile, and made us feel like we were imposing on his time. VERY SLOW! We had to ask what the food specials were and he just steered us to the menu vs explaining them. My husband was told he could get his sirloin with fries and it would be prepared w/ a black bean side as well. When his food arrived it only had fries. The server never asked if we wanted a 2nd beverage and never brought us a dessert menu. We left and had dessert elsewhere. We will NOT BE COMING back anytime soon :((("

"This is the perfect hold hands with your wife of 32 years stare into her eyes and smile kind of place I have been to in quite a while. Brunch was perfect, service was too. She is planning on going back with a friend of hers to grab her easel, and palette to paint some street scenes. Muffulettas was a good decision. I can't believe I had not been there in a about 25 years and hadn't gone back. That was a mistake I will not repeat. I will be back soon."

"Even though I reserved a table well in advance we ended up sitting in a booth right beside the kitchen. Kitchen music was a bit loud. It was a nice evening regardless because our waiter was the best. Thank you for a great experience."

"I met a few friends here with one 11 year old child. The food was great as usual. We were there right at the noon hour and it did take a little extra time to get our food and once our food was delivered we felt the waitress was overly busy. The hostess was pleasant and kept track of my reservation and escorted my joiners right to the table. I do feel the desserts are lacking. There is a small selection and the last one I had was strawberries on an short/angel cake of some sort. It did not seem fresh nor to the standard of the other food. Over all it was a good experience."

"We went to Muffuletta many times in the late 80's but stopped going when they changed their menu or owners as we were disappointed in their new offerings. First time back in 20 years even though we live 2 miles away. We are still disappointed."

"We tried this place for brunch and where hoping to sit out in the patio but the weather wasn't cooperating. We moved inside and had one of the best brunches in a very long time. The patio would have been great but the inside is very welcoming also. Everything from the coffee and coffee cake to the thick cut bacon was delicious, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. We will definitely return."

"Went for brunch after church with my mom. Just right for our late Mother's Day celebration, with wonderful a outdoor seating option on their deck. What a nice touch that they brought little pieces of coffee cake as a miniature (gratis) appetizer. Yummy peach mimosa-like drink. We both had Croque Madames and loved them! Server was very pleasant and helpful. I have fond memories of dining at Muffuletta 20 yrs ago ... Now, having moved away and come back, I definitely plan to return again to this lovely spot."

"This is our anniversary spot. We absolutely love it here. We get the same thing each year - Gnocchi for my wife and beer cheese soup and the Muffuletta sandwich for me (so we aren't able to comment much on the rest of the menu, but it looks great!). The service is excellent as well. Highest recommendation!"

"I love eating at Muffuletta because it encourages me to be aware: incredible arrays of textures, flavors, colors, aromas. I know the chef has put a lot of work into determining which ingredient, shape, flavor, consistency, cooking-method, etc., compliments and contrasts with the others. And, for this, I am grateful - it heightens my senses, makes me happier, enlivens my conversation with my dinner companion, who feels the same way. Add a thoughtful wine list, gracious and attentive service, a very sweet and appealing setting (indoors or the patio), and you have a lovely evening. Well worth my drive from Wayzata, every time."

"The food is exquisite. I enjoyed the salmon and my wife the duck. Most duck in the cities is overly gamey. This was melt in your mouth (best I've had). The combinations of items accompanying the dishes were fantastic. People were sharing bites of vegetables and couscous because they're so amazing. This is quality gourmet food at a very reasonable price. They have excellent seasonal specials every day, and $15 specials posted on the wall Mon-Thurs. We also split the strawberry salad which was also a gourmet work of art. We will be back...and with our foodie friends. Then we will try some of those deserts. They have a flour-less chocolate torte that people in the next table were raving about and the cheesecake and crumble were called divine."

"Dined at Muffuletta for the "Dining Out for Life" event and had a great experience. Our server was professional but friendly and attentive without being intrusive. For an appetizer, the three of us split the flatbread pizza, which was a perfect size for sharing, and each of the entrees (the pork loin, the tortellini and the salmon Wellington, which was one of evening specials) were delicious & satisfying. Hadn't been to Muffuletta in awhile, but this visit reminded me what a terrific dining experience it was possible to have there, so I plan to return again soon. It was good to see the restaurant bustling with activity & other people who were obviously enjoying their meals as much as we enjoyed ours."

"A quiet neighborhood place that might surprise you. Public parking out front and easy get to. Handicap ramp leads to front door. The seasonal and local supporting menu has been recently updated; the food is good. The salmon salad was cooked perfectly and the duck entree was superb. It is on the higher price range so I would recommend it for the special occasion, like a first date or birthday celebration. There is high cozy romance atmosphere to Muffuletta. Even though there were two large parties there and the noise level was moderately quiet. Our service was pleasant and timely. There is a large outside deck facing the street for summertime."
