"My wife and I decided to come back to Perry's @ Memorial after having a bad experience the last time we came. Surprisingly the Assistant General Manager, Cedric Guerin, recognized we had a bad experience the last time and reached out to us and invited us back in order to apologize in person and offer us the service that we originally expected. I must say we were not disappointed, our waiter Rico was phenomenal, and our bad experience turned out to be just a one off one. This Perry's location is definitely the best location in Houston and I would recommend everyone to stop by for a special evening or a great lunch and experience what our family has come to expect from this restaurant: great food, great service, and a great atmosphere."

"I've been to several upscale Resturants. I had such a horrible waiter here that made my whole experience very unpleasant. First off we order a bottle of wine the waiter pour us all a glass including my 14yr old nephew. Second when we ask to split the famous 32oz porkchop to be split amongst 3 people. The waiter looks as us stupid and proceeds to say that usually people order 1 per person but ok. Made us felt like we were being cheap. In reality we couldn't finish all that meat and had to take it Togo. He never came to refill our drinks or care to clean up our table. We had to ask another waiter for stuff. When the check came out he didn't bother to ask us for desert or boxes. Sadly to say. I would never come back to this location again."

"Perry's come's off as trying too hard to be an elite steakhouse. It seems forced. You cannot charge the prices they do and have the extremely young wait staff and personnel. There is something completely incongruous about the whole time spent at Perry's.
I could not recommend Perry's for dinner. I do not put Perry's in the Smith & Wolensky's, Eddie V's, Pappas' Steakhouse, Morton's, & Del Frisco's category. Obviously, Perry's aspires to be there but it's not close."

"The food was good - OK it's steak and you get a huge chunk. However, the maitre d' asked how it was and both had too much slat applied prior to cooking - we said so, but it was not a complaint, just a comment - he was a bit upset.
Also they do prepare ahead desserts - the waiter should ask when taking your order. Maybe he forgot, but halfway through our entree he came up to tell us about desserts - sometimes the training just isn't enough to make wait staff realize how to interect with guests."

"We had family visiting Houston from out of state and wanted to try an upscale restaurant that was not part of a national chain. The service was very good - attentive, polite and prompt. The wine cellar is impressive and is a focal point of the restaurant. The main course was excellent and the wine list was expansive. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and my brother-in-law raved about the pork chop house specialty for two days. Wish there was greater quantity on the fresh seafood appetizer - expensive for the amount of seafood on it and the lobster mac 'n cheese was simply overpriced. Overall, we had a very pleasant evening and dining experience, and I'd eat there again as well as recommend it to friends and family."

"After making reservations, we still waited 15 minutes for a table. My first impression of the staff was that there was a lack of communication. We almost left the restaurant. The staff were confused as which tables were available and which were not. It was obvious that other people were waiting after making reservations too. Our waiter, Marcos was okay as a waiter , but it would have been nicer if he was friendlier. He seemed preoccupied with his surroundings, it would have been nicer to have personal service throughout our dining experience. He checked other tables more often than ours. I have had better service at other restaurants."

"We went for an early dinner 6pm. After we ordered - the salads came out with in minutes - very nice since we came for the wedge salad. But we were not offered fresh pepper . Then just in the next few minutes out steak came out. We were only about 1/3 into our salads!!! Our meal was finished by 6:30!!! We felt rushed - but the food was fantastic as usual."

"When making reservations, make sure to ask for a specific table as we were seated at a high table which caused me some pain in my knees as I have arthritis. When we asked if any other tables were available that were lower and would be better for me, they said they did not have any available. So, when making a reservation, call the restaurant and ask for a regular table if this is an issue for you as it was an issue for me."
