"The food is always great. I actually look forward days in advance to eating the pork chop...and the crab cakes...and the fried asparagus. The only thing is that I wish they would go back to offering complete dinners instead of selling the side dishes a la carte."

"Perry's is a very nice place to dine, but it is a bit pricey for the overall experience. This restaurant is set up for adult dining; especially for the price tag. The low point for this dining experience was whinning and fussy children. This is not the place to bring small children. So please be kind to your fellow patrons and leave the little ones at home. Overall, this was a good experience. The food and service was excellent. The main dining room is large and can be quite noisey when full of guests. So forget the romantic quiet dinner experience."

"Perry's provided a classic dinning experience for my wife and I...as usual! There was no rushing us through our meal. We had a nice 2 hr dinner with conversation and background piano music. The food was top notch as has always been my experience with this resaurant."

"We found that Father's Day is not celebrated as much as Mother's Day, so the restaurant wasn't packed. Very nice peaceful meal. Perry's had the usual Perry's steak cooked perfectly. The meal was wonderful!"

"I had Chateau Briand for the 1st time. Amazing & Tasty. The Server was great , but they were slammed busy & could have used a few more people to help the waiters out. It was a special occasion for my Wife & I & the main dining seating was so loud, I could barely hear my wife even when I moved my seat next to her. Not the restaurants fault... Just the area & type of people that dine there.
People taking annoying flash photo's every few minutes... cell phones going off... 1st world problems I guess, but those little things really annoy someone wanting to have a nice time @ dinner. Especially when you're dropping $50 per person, plus drinks etc."

"Maybe the best pork chop on this green Earth. Service is very attentive - maybe even a little too attentive, with a little bit nervous, working too hard at it quality. "The food was not good. My wife had to send her ceasar salad back because it was dripping with dressing. The food was fair, especially considering the high price tag. Service was fair and we were left waiting several times. Sometimes we have a good experience here, but often times we do not. Lunch is good, but our experience in the evening, more often than not, has not been good."

"My wife and I have dined at Perry's many times and have always found it to be very good. Tuesday evening we had a reservation at 7:00 pm and we had an out of town guest with us. We had taken him to Perry's before and he requested that we go back again. Everything was great including the service to a point. We had our appetizers and were waiting for the salad. Our guest reminded the waiter that we had been sitting there for 1 hour and 20 minutes and requested to see the manager. He said he forgot the salad and brought it out immediately. The manager was very apologetic and asked if we would like a complimentary bottle of wine. We declined. We finally got our steaks and enjoyed the meal. The steaks are awesome."

"The overall experience here is always consistently good. Great management team and atmosphere. However our service was spotty at best on this visit. Yelp lists pricing as 3 out of 4 but the prices here seem to keep rising. $9 for a salad? Really? My wife and I have been dining here since they opened and we always are happy with the food. Still the best in Clear Lake!"

"Forgot to bring a water glass after one was discovered to be chipped. Had to be reminded twice. Couldn't remember who orders what. Forgot to bring our creamed spinach to the table with our meal. When asked he checked and it was almost cooled off sitting in the window.
Puff pastries on escargot were over cooked and tough.
Evening was not up to Perry's usual standards."

"We were asked right away if we were celebrating anything special, and host was very engaging. Service was great from the waitres and everyone that served our food. "Rave: we booked on open table and I mentioned it was to be an anniversary dinner for my wife and I. What seemed like the entire staff, from hostesses to waitress, took note of that and ran with it, with warm greetings, rose petals on the table, a special dessert, etc. The food at Perry's is consistently excellent and the room is our favorite in our end of town."

"Even though we had eaten at Perry's before for dinner and lunch, I read the reviews and had to wonder if those people actually ate at Perry's. It is not a quiet restaurant because of its size. Our waiter (Dixanne) made the experience for us. She was helpful, knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly without being intrusive. The food was perfect. We had Chateaubriand for two with their signature fried asparagus, warm spinach salad and chocolate chip bread pudding with caramel sauce and toasted marshmallow for dessert. Everything was exquisite. Unless the children are well behaved, I do not see this as a family restaurant."

"We brought our German foreign exchange student to experience the steaks. The atmosphere was perfect and the service was impeccable. The pork chops are the best anywhere, especially the ribs! YUM! We also loved the bread. Everything was cooked perfectly and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening."

"My wife and I went to Perry's for our 8th anniversary. We had crab cakes for the appetizer and it was great. For the entree I had the filet Perry and she had the pecan crusted sea bass. Both dishes were just average and for the price below average. We had a great tasting bottle of Chardonnay and our server and the whole staff was very courteous and right on cue. If it was not for the staff our anniversary dinner would have been a two star evening with a high price tag."

"This was our first time back to this location in quite a while. We were disappointed. When we arrived we were ushered through the main dining room through a long hall into a room at the back of the restaurant that was dark and pretty much devoid of the usual warmth that we've always expected of a Perry's restaurant. It was Mother's Day and they had crammed people into every nook and cranny of the place. Our table, party of 6, was so close to the others that the waiter had to reach over some diners to serve some of us. Waiters were constantly bumping into members of our party sitting next to the aisle. Had to press the waiter for a kids menu for the two youngsters in the group."

"The only reason I gave Perry's a 4 rating is due to the cost. The price for a steak, a side and a salad - $65 to $70 per person - really! Great place for a special occasion for a few people (unless you have unlimited funds)."

"Party of 10 on Mother's Day with reservations. Restaurant was full and it was apparent t early on that it was clearly understaffed for the crowd. The service was slow and bad. The food was fine (warm) - one error in our order from a party of ten but if you needed anything extra (soft drink refill) - forget it! The waiter seemed overwhelmed/annoyed. Had bananas foster for dessert. By the time there was someone to prepare it table side, the ice cream was totally melted. Did not ask for new ice cream but another waiter spotted the situation and went for new ice cream. We sat down for lunch at 1:30 and left at 4:40 pm. not by choice. Bill was about $770 (no alcohol) - NOT worth it! Certainly wasn't "special" - Too many other dining options."

"To start off, the restaurant is very elegant, nice bar, and very welcoming. We weren't very excited to be stuffed in the corner, behind a high-backed booth and about a 4-foot by 4-foot corner, it was a little awkward, but all that aside, we enjoyed each other's company and moved on with the evening. "Pick your battles" as they say...
Perry's Cabernet - FANTASTIC, Salads - FANTASTIC, Timing between courses - FANTASTIC, Steaks...ok.
My wife ordered the Strip served on a bed of asparagus and the steak was just not very tender, or seasoned very thorough. It was cooked excellent, and we understand not every cut of meat is going to be perfect, just wishful thinking.
I ordered the Prime Ribeye and it was also cooked very well, but bland."
