"More than enjoyable. Absolutely great! Felix and Eddie are gems. I made the reservation one hour in advance on "Open Table." In the notes area I inserted, "Wife's Birthday." All I said when I approached the Maitre'd was my name. Immediately, we were greated by name, and the two servers, Felix and Eddie, continued to talk to us as, "Mr. and Mrs. ......"

Asked about the lobster tails...are there any that are not fried? "They can be broiled, Mr. and Mrs. "

In conclusion, the food was very good. The service was extra good. Ambiance was very good (I appreciate the work required to build all the arches).

We will return."

"Our service at the Lobster Bar was outstanding. The servers were very attentive and always seemed to know what we needed before we asked. The food was delicious and served in a timely fashion. Every thing we were served was wonderful. We had a very bad experience at Chops about a year and a half ago and had been hesitant to return to a Buckhead Life Group resturant. We very pleased with how well things went at the Lobster Bar. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a pleasant night out on the town."

"The best waiter/service I have experienced in any restaurant in years, regardless of setting or price. The maitre'd was also very attentive and on top of things. The table next to ours got really loud and obnoxious at one point and he handled it with diplomacy and tact, and they even apologized to him. Great restaurant."

"First time visit at the Lobster Bar. Not such a pleasant experience for me. Since being a first time visitor, I indicated as such and expected to get a briefing about the restaurants menu. "The service was extreamly attentive without being intrusive or overbering. While we dined for nearly two hours we were not rushed to turn the table on one of the most busy days of the year (Valentines)and had a wonderful experience. I would highly recomend this restarunt for romantic dinners."

"WAY overpriced for what you get! The food was good but not great. I hate to say this but the lobster tastes just as good at Red Lobster. The lobster bisque was good but had literally only one very small piece of lobster in it. The ambiance isn't even close to good enough to justify the cost. The servers were very attentive but it took way too long to get water and bread on the table, then took a long time to order. The food came back within a reasonable time.

If you still insist on going, be sure to ask for a table out of the main seating area, which was extremely noisy and cramped. We were very glad to have been seated in a back room. This was my first and probably last time going there."

"For the price of a dinner at the Lobster Bar, you really deserve a little more privacy. They structure the dining area in a way that many tables are literally only a foot apart. I've seen more spacing between tables in fast food restaurants. The result is that it is impossible to have a quiet, intimate dinner when strangers are hanging off of each shoulder.
The food is outstanding and the service is very good."

"The Chops Lobster bar is a classic. The food is always perfectly cooked and such a treat! The service was outstanding - we will absolutely be back. "Exceptional dinner. Filet mignon and fried lobster tail. Lyonnaisse potatoes. Asparagus and hollondiase. Field green salad. Cheesecake All exceptional.

Only one problem. Neither my wife nor I slept all night, showing restless symptoms we often feel after eating Asian food containing MSG. I'm concerned that the steak, which was ridiculously salty, had a seasoning mixture that contained MSG.

Despite a night of no sleep, a delicious meal."

"One of the loudest restaurants I have been to in Atlanta. Beginning service was slow (water, wine, giving specials, and ordering.) Food service was pretty fast and food was good. "After a recent visit to celebrate my wife's birthday, it is very apparent that their are far better resturants to celebrate special occasions. While the food and service was excellent, the place was so loud that we had to resort to shouting to have a simple conversation. I also requested a special dessert at the end of dinner with a candle, and was disappointed when a small portion of bread pudding was served with a candle. I was embarrassed for myself and for Chops.

"I moved to Atlanta 2 years ago and this was my third time at Chops. We had some friends in from Manhattan for New Years Eve and wanted to take them somewhere that could hold up to the NYC restaurants which they are accustomed to. Chops did not cease to fail. There were a total of four couples (8 of us) and everyone had extremely positive comments about their meals. Some of the notables included the Bone-In Filet, King Crab Legs, Fried Lobster tail and organic mashed sweet potatoes. All in all, this is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta and is top notch time and time again. Definitely fun for a special occasion and pricier, but you pay for what you get."

"As usual, food selection quality and portions were excellent. Noise level was disappointing but acceptable. Unfortunately, the service left a good bit to be desired. This was most unusual this restaurant. Wine arrived after half the meal was consumed and was the incorrect selection, waiter was not available for much of the meal and we are not demanding clients.

I will accept this as an abberation and would definitely recommend the Lobster Bar as a special place to enjoy an excellent meal."

"I totally loved the food at Chops. I was a little disappointed at how the seating was set up. There were 4 or 5 small tables set for two very close to each other and it felt like cafeteria dining. I tried to speak quietly so that the people next to use couldn't hear the conversation, but it was too loud in the restaurant to speak softly and they pretty much heard everything we said. It was supposed to be a romantic birthday dinner for my boyfriend but ended up being a loud family style dining experience with a bunch of strangers."

"The $50 4 course special is an outstanding deal. With a choice of a Lobster feast or a steak, the meal is more than enough food.

Coupled with their affordable wine pairings or a signature cocktail (or two) and Chops is a classic Atlanta dining establishment.

The dining space reminds one of eating at the Oyster Bar at Grand Central Station - complete with the "Mad Men" characters. A mixture of old ATL money, johnny come lately nouveau riche, and boozy gadabouts.

The food was impeccable. Our service was a little slow to start off with but rallied as the meal progressed.

Perfect for bringing your wife or current "lady friend.""

"The occasion was my husband's 65th birthday. Our waiter, Kevin, made it special by personally wishing him a happy birthday as soon as were seated. The baked oysters Rockefeller and flash fried lobster tail were superb. The steamed & cracked Maine lobster as well as the the mixed mushrooms were devine. The service was excellent.
The valet was also very cordial. I would definitely recommend The Lobster Bar to family & friends."

"Lobster Bar was a great choice for our special anniversary dinner. It was pricey but worth it, especially if you are a seafood lover. The scallops were excellent as was the lobster bisque and the fried lobster tails. Great service as well. Brought me a new drink when I didn't like the one I ordered. Brought us a special dessert for our anniversary too!"

"The food was superb! The waiter was extremely attentive and the Manager was very friendly!! This ia absolutely a nice place to go!! The website site stated Upscale casual but many diners appeared to be dressed very casual- however we did not feel overdressed.It is very noise becasue of the openess of the area.. however, we were not distracted by any overly loud diners."
