"Enjoy ordering mezza to share plates with friends, espcially with both vegetarians and non-veggies. The Seared Haloum Cheese w/ Pears & Dates was excellent as was the Lahem Ajeen with ground lamb, spices and pomegranate molasses. Very good service and relaxing atmosphere to sit, sip some wine, chat and nibble away at multiple dishes."

"Me Jana has great staff - always friendly and treat you like you are the most important people who come to see them. The food is consistently very good -- love the Kafta Kebob and garlic whip! Good place to have friends meet and try various dishes. Our waitress was superb - very attentive and helped with a great wine. Love to eat outside and the busy street is barely noticeable."

"We loved the smokey roasted eggplant dishes and the waiter kindly explained some of the unique aromatics spices used in Lebanese cooking like Arac and Sumac. The eggplant with chickpeas fatteh and lamb chops are our favorite."

"first time at Me Jana. asked for some suggestions off the menu. server basically just suggested the sampler that waas $40! she didnt ask how hungry we were. after that no other suggestions. We just based our decisions based on previous lebanese cuisine experience. it was decent. had better experience at other lebanese locations in the areaa."

"Whenever I have friends come to town to visit, I always bring them to Me Jana. We get about about 2 small plates each to share and try all sorts of delicious plates. I always get the braised lamb shank because it's so amazing!
Great service, ridiculously delicious food, awesome cocktails, and an incredibly kind staff :-)"

"This was my second trip to Me Jana in a month, and it was just as delicious. We ordered a bunch of meze to share, and everything arrived freshly made to our table. Me Jana has become a go-to restaurant in the neighborhood for us!"

"Really friendly service and very attentive. Place was very relaxing and allowed us to nurse a cup of coffee at the bar for a very long time while catching up with friends after dinner. All of the food was great. I loved the Salmon and Haloumi! I will be back."

"The food was absolutely outstanding and the service matched! The only negative is the music....please change the loop from Gypsy Kings-style Spanish music to something more appropriate to Middle Eastern theme. Otherwise, a real find!"

"Worst experience EVER. I was craving some falafel so I ended up taking my parents out for some Lebanese food after some light shopping in the market commons area. We were starved yet none of the staffed seemed to care or even pay attention to us. We arrived at 8pm and there was only 1 other table seated. After being sat without any menus, we waited about 5 minutes until I had to get up and ask for a menu and some water. The waitress came over to the table a long while later acting as if she had better things to do and simply asked "ready to order or should I come back later?" We were all STUNNED. Never wasting my money here again. Over priced, and HORRIBLE service!!"

"The food was great, however since we were a group of six, our waitress had mentioned their group deal. We decided to do the deal since it was our first time in the restaurant, however as we decided to pay the bill, it was much more expensive than we thought. The waitress should've mentioned about the price of the group deal and she was very rough, there were instances where she almost hit us with the food and dropped items several times."

"Generally good. The problem I had was the food came out really fast like they wanted to turn the table except it wasn't crowded. Also, the falafel was way overdone. It should be evenly browned, not fried to black edges. I liked the fact that it was friendly and felt like a neighborhood place. I just think I've had a better "food experience" at Lebanese Taverna. Not sure I'll go back."

"Went here during a business trip for lunch. We tried several mezza dishes during lunch and loved most of them. They came out really quick too - within 5 min. after ordering! Service was quick and friendly. Would go back again if we're in the area."

"I have been to Ma Jana many times and it is consistently a great experience. The food is delicious, the prices are very reasonable, great wine list, bread is fantastic, the service is attentive but not rushed, the ambiance is warm and upbeat. The owner comes by to check on everything. In the summer, the outdoor area is one of the best around. Highly recommended!"

"Me Jana's is a nice neighborhood Lebanese restaurant with great service, a very friendly owner, and a terrific bartender who is warm, engaging, and adds a ton to the place. The food is good; if you go there, ask for a table to the left of the bar as it is slightly less noisier. Order your food mezza-style and enjoy lots of interesting and well prepared dishes. They bring it out as it is prepared so the food is fresh, inviting, and, in most cases, really good. This is a really nice neighborhood spot; looking forward to warmer weather that will allow us to try an outdoor experience."

"Although I have been to MeJana on several occasions, I did not enjoy this experience as much. As it was a Friday night, I felt that the food was not as fresh as previous times and we were rushed to vacate the table. However, I will be back to give it another try (so it was not a horrible experience). Just disappointed. Other than feeling rushed, the service was fantastic."

"The complimentary pita bread provided was cold upon arrival. The french fries w/ thyme had barely any thyme on them and were some of the worst I've had. The lentil soup and zuchinni patties were also unmemorable. Extremely disappointed in the quality of food."

"We have been to Me Jana twice now... once in the summer, mid-week and just recently on the weekend. Both times the food was outstanding. Sitting outside is great in warm weather and the atmosphere on the weekend was very energetic. We very much enjoyed both times. The wait staff was also fantastic and very personable. We will be back"

"I enjoyed the Lebanese mezzes (small plates) with my friend, but we would have greatly preferred for them not to all come to the table within five minutes of one another. Our waitress could have done better by working with the kitchen to stagger them."

"I usually go to the restaurants in Washington DC, and was told by a friend whilst I was in Zaytinya that a similar place in VA was MeJana. Well I visited the place thinking it would be just as fun, and the food just as divine. Not even close. The ambiance is nice, but for the same price, you get much better quality at Zaytinya and its more fun! There is a difference in heaven and earth between the 2. We got a chicken dish (dont recall the exact name), lamb, scallops, some cheese like dish, the fries, and lamb schwarma. The lamb was stiff, the chicken dish felt like it came out of a microwave (though the garlic sauce that came it, managed to salvage it), the lamb schwarma felt more like lamb pizza than anything else."

"My husband's family is Syrian so we are skeptical of Middle Eastern restaurants, but Me Jana was authentic with an elegant twist! The people working there were so incredibly warm and accommodating. It felt like we were family! I've been with a group of my girlfriends and then most recently with my husband and it's perfect for groups but very romantic. Highly recommend!"

"We decided to go out for Valentine's Day at the last minute. Me Jana was one of the few places with an open table (thank you, Open Table), and we'd enjoyed a previous dining experience there. A three-course $49 fixed price menu on a special day seemed like a good deal, and the food was good, but conventional. We had the option of ordering from the regular menu, and we should have done that. The place was packed, and our soft-spoken server was hard to hear. That was frustrating. We were zipped through our meal, but we were dining at 9pm, so there was clearly no one after us. We hung around and talked, enjoying a much emptier restaurant. We laughed when I received a rose and my husband got the check."

"Me Jana was warm and welcoming, with a romantic and sophisticated ambiance. The service was prompt and attentive. The food was good, including hummus with pita, salmon entrees, mussels and fettoush salad. One dish, shish taouk, had a few tough bits of chicken mixed in with others that were appropriately tender. Overall a very accomplished Lebanese restaurant addition to Arlington."

"You cannot go wrong with Me Jana. Their kibbeh nayyeh and chicken liver are the best I've ever had, and I've had lots! Even their cheese rolls - something I usually skip - are unique. Perhaps best of all, the quality of every dish is consistent, time after time. Surely this is the indisputable mark of a great chef and restaurant. You add the hospitality and friendliness of management, and there's nothing left to be done but bask in the gorgeous experience of a night out at Me Jana."

"I went with my parents on a Friday night, so it was bound to be a little crowded. For us, though, it's about the food! My Mom's family is Lebanese, so she loved finding dishes that her grandmother had made and that she doesn't eat anymore. My personal favorites are the Aretas and the Kafta. We didn't try the Kibbeh, but my Dad was very impressed that they offered it raw - just like my great-grandmother used to make! If I had to make a tiny complaint, our waiter rushed us a bit. He was very attentive, which is great, but he and the bussers picked up the dishes as soon as we were done, finally leaving nothing on the table except my Dad's entree plate. We didn't feel we had time to sit and relax after a day of traveling."

"The food was good and the atmosphere was surprisingly nice too. Very romantic. The downside I had which probably is a deal breaker for me was the service. As we were eating our dinner, server and random other people were staring us down, literally waiting for us to finish so they can take our dishes. At one point some random busboy was standing at the foot of our table. My fiancé wasn't even finished with his water and the guy took it away. Basically after we paid and tipped, they treated us like we were dead weight, trying to get rid of us. They were very rude and at one point the server came to us and told us to leave bc other people are waiting for a table. We had a reservation and it was my fiance's birthday. RUDE. Not coming again."

"We had a fun evening and were happy with the service and the ambiance. We had a fairly large group (9 people) and they were very accomodating. The only drawback is the food, which is decent but not great by any means. This would be a perfect restaurant if they could improve the food. I love middle eastern food and am really not overly picky, but was under-impressed with some basics such as the hummus, and really unhappy, because of the price, with the sea bass. But I'll go back and it another try just because of the atmosphere."
