The North Fork Table and Inn offers a progressive American menu committed to the highest standard of culinary excellence.
The restaurant's menu focus is seasonally inspired featuring locally grown biodynamic and organic produce, the freshest seafood from the pristine Peconic Bay and L.I. sound and award winning North Fork artesian cheese. Increasingly distinguished and awarded Long Island wines are highlighted on the wine list, as well as their national and international counterparts.
For your dining options we are presenting a $75 3-Course Prix Fixe menu and the Chef's Tasting menu.
You may dine Ala Carte or have the Prix Fixe Menu at the bar on a first come, first served basis.

"We have eaten here many times at this point and the experience is always the same-superb! The atmosphere is relaxed, but elegant. The service is always excellent, and the food is truly spectacular. We feel fortunate to have this restaurant within a reasonable(50 miles) distance from us. We look forward to many more special meals there."

"Probably the best restaurant on the East Coast (no kidding!). Not a cutesy or show-off molecular gastronomy experience but a solidly hospitable cuisine with imaginative interpretations of the basics. How about a 3-oz chocolate soufflé of the best cocoa baked right before serving for dessert? Very friendly management and staff and beautiful atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!"

"This was our second time at North Fork Table and everything about it was as great as the first. The setting is relaxed and perfectly (but not pretentiously) focused on the delicious food. I've told anyone who will listen it's as good (and even better) than some of NYC's best restaurants. The whole farm-to-table thing can be overdone but at North Fork Table, the chef uses fresh ingredients perfectly. Can't wait to go back (hopefully!) next year"

"The food is excellently prepared, with portions that are appropriate. We chose the three course menu, which was just the right amount of food. I had the lamb, medium rare--which was perfect. My wife had the duck, also medium rare and also perfect. For an appetizer I had the terrine and foie gras, which was a rustic variety.
The wine list is a little light and pricey for the quality of the wines, although the ability to select a smaller (3oz) pour is appreciated by anyone who might need to drive. The pre-dinner cocktails were tasty, clever, and perfect for the season.
Desserts were good but not over the top; the expresso was not quite Italy but pretty close for the US. Great food, New York City prices, Long island ambiance."

"We went to dinner with very high expectations and all our anticipations were exceeded. We cannot understate how impressed we were. The food is the star, but the entire experience was a joy. The staff and Mike were genial and offered just the right amount of service and attention. We tried the three course prix fixe menu, which allowed for some choices. However, next time we would try the five course chef choice option. Everything that comes out of their kitchen is exceptional."

"I understand that having a proper diner never is cheap, especially in New York/Long Island.
And definitely this place is one to get proper food. The atmosphere is nice, the Service very good.
But - and don`t get me wrong - if you are from Europe or being a cosmopolitain person - this meal wasn´t outstanding. It was just a good, maybe a very good meal. The "you wont believe"- chocolate cake, was just like all others you get everywhere in the world.
So 350 Dollar for a party of two for a 3-course menu plus middle-class wine is a bit too much in my opinion.
But if money doesn´t matter, I definitely would recommend this place for having a nice diner."
And definitely this place is one to get proper food. The atmosphere is nice, the Service very good.

"Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience. The wine took quite a long time to come (had to ask the waitress where it was). We got bread and asked for more at least 3 times. The main course took forever to come. We finally got the bread just before the main course. People that had come in after us had 2 bottles of wine and their food before we got ours. When we asked the waitress to see if the kitchen could do the souffle even though it was only on the tasting menu, she couldn't accomodate us. All told, by the time we left we had spent about 2 1/2 hours, over $200.00 and were not happy at all. It is a shame because I have always looked forward to going there."

"We went to the north fork table at the recommendation of a friend. We were prepared for higher prices what we were not prepared for was high prices prix fix menu with small servings. $75 for 15 pieces of pasta and half a chicken breast with a tablespoon of risotto and then a tiny dessert was a little ridiculous to us. The food was good but for what u pay we expected a bit more quantity. We were also not pleased with our service. Our waiter disappeared and basically neglected us while paying more attention to the table of older people next to us. We may look young but we are both established with good salaries and were insulted at the relative lack of respect and attention. Not somewhere I think we would go back to."

"I was surprised at the price. There is no ala carte menu and I did not know that. I usually order 2 appetizers as I cannot eat a lot. But as I learned the hard way the menu is prix fixe at $75.00 a person. So my small salad and tuna tartare was $75. I did take some cheese home for my daughter because the menu insists that you order appetizer, entree and dessert. Will not go back!"

"We arrived ten minutes early for a five oclock reservation....and found staff still at table...hostess still pasting together menus and not a bartender in sight....we waited to sit until about five after five and not once were we offered so much as a glass of water...a rocky start at best...once we sat....the evening improved by leaps and bounds....the menu was inventive....and well executed....we had the three course prix fixe menu and enjoyed everything....but my favorite part was the dessert! Each one was spectacular...i would go back for the coconut tapioca every day if i could....and on the way out the the restaurant gave us a fifty dollar gift certificate to use on our next visit...we will definitely be back!"

"A visit to North Fork Table & Inn makes a meal a special event. Simple surroundings let you focus on your plate where beautiful presentations and layers of flavors always surprise. You would never have guessed it was restaurant week. No skimping on the choices and level of service. French Lentil soup, salmon cakes and duck mousse where all delicious as were the pan seared scallops and housemade cavatelli that melted in one's mouth. We all thought the pan roasted chicken breast was the best of show. Served on risotto with porcini mushroom and rosemary jus, it was tender and tasty. We were steered to the chocolate caramel tart by an enthusiastic couple at the next table who were there for the second night in a row. Perfection."

"We enjoyed the restaurant week menu! Service was extremely professional and not robotic...the room flowed. My app was on the "tame side" my husbands was delicious. Overall the meal was fantastic. Everyone is different...we felt the room was just a tad too bright. Could have brought the lights down a bit to make it cozier.

"North Fork has fabulous food and service and we love the look and feel of the space. Their restaurant week menu is so enticing that it was difficult to make decisions. The scallops and the pasta with beef main courses were delicious. The main courses seem small but the overall meal with appetizer, entre and wonderful desserts is filling."

"I own a Bed and Breakfast in Southold and always recommend the North Fork Table and Inn to my guests , but especially when they are looking for something special, a romantic dinner or for a celebratory occasion. They are invariably delighted. Everything about this restaurant is executed to the highest standards; the dining rooms are charming; the tables far enough apart that you can't overhear your neighbors; the service attentive but not intrusive; and the food never fails to delight. I also like the bar very much for a relaxing drink at the end of a busy day, and my guests love the food truck for picnic lunches at the vineyards."

"We went during restuarrant week. Although the food was good the portions were ridiculously small. I had the scallops as an entree. Three scallops were served on a large llate. Not necessarily looking for quanity over quality but this dining experience was not worth it. Would not go back."

"We loved each of the dishes we tried from the 3 course prix fixe menu. The front room can be noisy but the room to the left seems to be for grownups and is lovely. Service was fine: unobtrusive tho not 100% polished. At $225 for two its a bit of an investment but we enjoyed it."

"Was somewhat dismayed to find out that it was Restaurant Week as do not think that the "bargain-hunting" time is best for trying out serious cooking -- but I was apprehensive for naught. The three-course meal was amazing and the food not compromised at all. It was my daughter's 18th birthday and she has been going to "outstanding" restaurants since she was three and considers herself a "foodie." Her salmon cake reminded her of a good Dutch croquette. My pureed lentil soup was divine. The miso-drenched salmon was perfectly cooked and might be the best salmon experience ever. And the desserts -- velvety caramel oozing out of pure chocolate. Attentive waitress. Good inexpensive wine choices. In other words: perfect."

"Been a big fan since my first visit in '06. From the warm welcome to being seated often at "our" table, it's always a homecoming.
The service staff are talented, professional and always pleasant. We love the pairings to accompany Chef's delicious preparations.
