"Went with my teenagers for a Mother's Day celebration. We all 3 loved our meals. It was the best filet mignonette I have had in a long time. Cooked to perfection and flavorful I ate every bite. Also enjoyed the gold Yukon potatoes. They were amazing. The warm soft pretzels they provide while waiting for the meal is a very nice surprise. I didn't think I would like the chocolate balsamic dressing for my salad but I actually loved it. We all shared our meals with each other because it was all so good. I highly recommend the creme brûlée service was excellent. Restaurant was nice and quiet and chairs are comfy. Overall really good experience and we will be back!"

"We enjoyed the food, it was delicious. The interior was nice, though looked dated. I had been to the Lodge on numerous occasions and had no idea this restaurant was there. They had requesting any special instuctions with my reservation, and I had requested a candle for my wife's dessert, it was overlooked. There were only 7 patrons in the restaurant at the time. Our server was very good, and knew the specials and menu in great detail. I would go back do to the quality of the food. A little advertising and update would turn it from very good to excellent."

"It took nearly 55 minutes to be served and the restaurant was barely half full. Waitress seemed overwhelmed and thus was inattentive. We had to call manager over to see where our order was. Ordered meat medium, got it rare. Manager was apologetic and gave us free desserts but this is marketed as a "high end" restaurnt in the Hershey Lodge but the service and the food were lackluster at best. I would hate to be diner there on a BUSY night."

"The Forebay exceeded my expectations! I took my husband for his birthday and because we have a toddler we don't get out much and this restaurant was amazing. The service was great and the food was top notch. I would absolutely, hands down, recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a nice romantic evening out. We will definitely go back some time."

"We absolutely loved our meals but were very dissappointed that no one explained the prices of the "specials". With most of the meals being between $20-$30 we thought that that specials would be at the lower end of that. Our waitress offered the strip steak and didn't tell us the price. When we got our bill it was $38 for New York Strip Steak. If we would have known that one meal would be double the price of the others we would have never ordered it!!!
Although the meal was delicious, it was the biggest dissappointment of our weekend there. Being on a very strict budget and spending that much on food brought tears to our eyes!"

"We are local to Hershey, and have dined at the Forebay a number of times, however our last three visits the service has been absolutely deplorable. The waitresses rude, poor menu/food comprehension, SLOW. Our last visit we waited 23 minutes before receiving our drinks, app orders never even taken. The restaurant was maybe 30% of capacity......on a Friday night (maybe this should have been an indicator to me. We have had only one waitress that was good (I believe her name was Andrea, if you go here certainly get her section). the food is usually good, however we took our two daughters here for a post Valentines Day dinner - the chef clearly does not have any attention to detail or food standards when it comes to kids (food was dry)."
