"The eats at Murphy's was exceptional in all ways possible. The food was not only explosive and beyond satisfying to my fiance' and I, the presentation, service, wine (especially the wine), and atmosphere was just as intoxicating! To say I will make it at least a monthly "thang" is an understatement! Thanks for making my fiance's Mother's Day so memorable and special. God bless!"

"You can't go wrong here. The food is always good. The staff is always friendly. The ambiance is always nice. Not many restaurants are this good, this consistently. I always get either the pork or the brisket and both are fantastic. Great desserts, too. All around just great as always."

"Murphy's is one of our favorites for lunch, and this was our first dinner. The food was fully up to our expectations, but the service was awkward at best. For an early (6pm) dinner, we were seated promptly but had an uncomfortable wait before placing our order. The appetizers arrived quickly, followed somewhat awkwardly by the always tasty bread, but our mains arrived before we were halfway through the appetizers. It was almost too much for our small table and the waiter blithely dismissed our surprise about the rush."

"We love Murphy's and it was a sad day when we moved from Atlanta to Florida because we would not get to eat there as much ;)- no need to worry though, we always make sure and make a reservation whenever we come up! Thanks Open Table for making it so easy!
The food and service are always great- however this last time it was SO LOUD where we were seated we had to get out of there as soon as we could. I think it was the baby shower that started off with 10 people and ended with about 20 people and 10 children.
Next time we come up I will be sure to ask for a more quiet setting so that we can enjoy our food and time."

"We went to Murphy's for our Easter dinner, knowing that we wouldn't make it to the Easter Brunch. Everything was lovely as usual. My only disappointment is that we were given a less than desirable table while other "sunny" tables remained unoccupied. I understand the process of assigning tables to waiters for even distribution of work, and tips. Therefore we did not complain. But, I saw a couple request a different table that the small one they were taken to, next to us, in a dimly lit corner; and they were not accomodated. The waiter even made a "flip" comment to them as they were leaving the restaurant. That whole chain of events was not good.

"We had reservations for lunch. Waited 40 minutes for our table. We had 6 in our party and were crammed into a table for 4. Took 30 minutes for our appetizers to arrive. Finally asked for a bread basket, which took 10 minutes to arrive. Our waitress was no where to be seen most of our meal. Would not go back!!"

"Went here to eat dinner on a girls' weekend with a friend. The service was great, the food was almost great. Drinks were spot on. I really did enjoy my meal, just not as much as I enjoyed my meal at Local Three the next day.
Our original plan here was to order a few small plates to share and then get dessert. We got the cheese plate and each got a salad. They were all delicious. Then we got greedy and decided to order a main course too. I got the seared scallops and honestly it was just pretty good to me.
Dessert was great. I got the trio and only stopped eating because I literally had to.
Good experience and meal, great service."

"I was planning a birthday party for my girlfriend here. We didn't end up going but came back another time because the event manager was very nice and helpful. We were sat on time and the food and service were both great. The wine was very good and it's nice they have a wine shop right in the restaurant. No complaints!"

"My wife and I have dined at Murphy's a number of times -- and, each time the food was very good as was the service -- this time was no exception. We arrived early (dinner service doesn't start until 5pm) so we spent some time in Murphy's great wine bar and enjoyed a quite tasty and new (to us) New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Then at dinner I tried the slow-cooked salmon and my wife had the mango and chicken salad -- nothing exceptional but, nonetheless, good enough to bring us back another time."

"The food didn't live up to expectations. It was good but not much more than that. It didn't seem to be as good as it was in my old college days iat GA Tech. Then again my tastes have improved or back then anything outside of Britain Hall tasted excellent.
Only issue I had was having to wait 30 minutes for an 8:30 reservation for 4."

"We thoroughly enjoyed dinner. Our reservation for 4 was honored as soon as we arrived, even though it was a busy holiday weekend. The service was pleasant and attentive, but not intrusive. We all liked our dinner choices very much. You could actually hear a conversation, and our table was comfortable. We always enjoy Murphy's, and drive all the way across town to eat there."
