McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim
Our chef works with local reputable seafood purveyors to obtain only the freshest seafood from local waters & beyond. We offer guests dozens of seafood varieties at the peak of their seasons, including Alaskan Halibut, Northwest Salmon, Hawaiian Mahi Mahi, Oregon Petrale Sole & a large selection of oysters from the U.S. & Canada, just to name a few. Menus are printed DAILY featuring a "Fresh List" of more than 30 seafood species. Guests may find that the seafood offered at lunch differs from dinner offerings, as fresh deliveries arrive to the restaurant throughout the day. McCormick & Schmick's practices traditional mixology hand-crafting cocktails using only fresh-squeezed juices. You won't find any blenders at a McCormick & Schmick's bar. Our bartenders are like chefs in their own right. Classic drinks, such as martinis, Irish coffee, single malt whiskeys & bourbons are complemented with modern favorites.
"This was our first visit to the restaurant. We were very happy with the selection and preparation of our meals. From appetizer to dessert, everything was great!! Will definitely go back when I'm in the area."

Review 2 for McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim
"We met some out-of-town friends at this restaurant and it was perfect. The table was comfortable, noise level good so it wasn't too quiet but we could hear our conversations. The food was superb, wines were ones we knew and enjoy, and the service was just right (attentive but not intrusive). We thoroughly enjoyed our evening."

"The folks at Roys made our 26th anniversary dinner an evening to remember. Everyone was gracious and solicitous. The food and drinks were very tasty. Their martini was among the best I've ever had.
We definitely will return whenever we return to Los Angeles. Now we want to try the Roys in our home town, San Diego.
Thanks everyone.
Marc and Jessica Banner
P.S. The Opera was also great, but I think we'll remember how well we were treated at Roys even longe"

Review 4 for McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim
"It was a good thing that the time of day we were there was not busy ( 4:00 ) We arrived on time and they said they could not find our reservations in their system. We waited about 10 minutes, then told someone there had deleted our reservation. They finally seated us. We had a fine dinner and were off to the hockey game on time. One of the hostess were not friendly and somewhat rude while going through this process."

"place looks dated with uncomcortable chairs. service was slow and waitress was unapologetic. we were served with appetizer after 20mins, followed by our soup after 20mins, then offered a bread basket (isn't it usually served before appetizer?). but manager came to apologized for the delay & improper order of food service. food was average, salty, and expensive. we skipped desert coz we dont think it will be any good. very disappointed to dine there. we had better dining experience next door...PF Changs & Roys Hawaiian."

Review 6 for McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim
"My wife and I don't get out often, now that we have 3 kids. So, we decided to try an new restaurant when we got the opportunity to go out on a dinner date. McCormick & Schmick's in Anaheim was a great choice. Our waitress April was very great to us. I asked if there was anything other than seafood on the appetizer menu, but unfortunately there wasn't, so we decided to share a salad. A few minutes later, April came back and told us the chef had offered to make us a Margherita pizza that was not on the menu, so we accepted. The pizza was very tasty, better than having a salad. We both ordered New York steaks med-well and three sides: grilled asparagus, red pepper mash, and cream of spinach. I recommend this restaurant to everyone."

"The hostess seemed preoccupied when we arrived and not very friendly. Our server was slow to greet our table and very slow bringing our drink orders to us, which was odd given that they didn't have many customers at that time."

"This is the first time that I have been served calamari that was so overlooked that it reminded me of rubber bands. The entree was prepared properly but lacked flavor or presentation. There are better and less expensive seafood restaurants on the same block."

"The service was disappointing. The food was AWFUL - cold when we finally got it. Steak was not prepared as ordered and tough - sent it back. Vegetables under cooked. Amount of food - for the price was a joke! Not going back there for a VERY long time - if ever!"

Review 20 for McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim
"I dont know if its me or when you go to these $$$ restaurants, you should be inclined to get a "WOW!!!" feeling/experience. McCormick and Shmick's Seafood came in with that thought and anticipation of having a great seafood experience however, we were far from the "WOW" factor as it so claims to be. The service was slow, the food was just "okay", and our server was forgetful, could not suggest a dish and/or wine pairing, and always referred us back to the menu or printed list. I would rank our experience to that of "Olive Garden" Save your $$$ and buy seafood from the grocery store, you'll be better off."

"Obnoxious reservation person could not add one person to party at same time. Overpriced for mediocre food. Our server was pretty good, but disappeared for about 1/2 hour as we were trying to get the check. It's a typical chain restaurant with nothing to recommend it."

Review 27 for McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim
"We ordered the clam chowder and lobster bisque as starters. Both were excellent and served hot. We both ordered filets which were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Steak was as good as you would find at any high-end steak house. The filets were served with julienned carrots and green beans- excellent. I'm not a fan of green beans but these had a crisp texture & good flavor. Ordered sweet pepper cheddar mashed potatoes; odd combo. We took the servers advice and had the apple pie with cinnamon icecream. The pie had tons of cinnamon so icecream didnt need cinnamon. Filling for lemon pie was loose and sour. We didnt eat it and server did remove from bill. So for less than great dessert and lack of any "normal" side dishes, i deduct 1 star"

Review 30 for McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim
"not very good. swordfish was dry. there was probaly no other way to cook it because the piece was so thin. Much better places around if you want seafood. We felt it catered to the tourist trade where you are not expected to return. Complained to the Manager, really got no satisfaction. He said the product was good when it came in - he'll tell the cook. In other words, don't bother me - the cook screwed it up..... Would not recommend it."

"M&S is a favorite of ours and we decided to try this location which was new to us. it's right across from Disneyland; great for the parkgoers and conventioneers but maybe a little more bustle than we prefer. It's located in a rather nifty mall which would also be good to stroll in, if during business hours."

"AMAZING food!!!! Lobster Bisque presentation was GORGEOUS...and the flavor was to-die-for! Shrimp Scampi might have been a "classic" on the menu...but best ever for us! Can't wait to head back to Anaheim next year to go there again!"

"Very personable and attentive server. Steamed mussels, salmon over pasta, and cashew encrusted tilapia were excellent and would definitely order again. Dining area has a nice open feeling, preferable over Irvine location.
Only negatives are layout of the parking lot and desolate Garden Walk mall, which looks to have 50% vacancies."

Review 36 for McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim
"Service was slow. Bread came long after we sat down and only after we asked. Food came 25 minutes after order was taken. The Seafood Cioppino was full of fish, a few shrimps, and calamari rings--no clams or mussels--in a heavy tomato sauce. Expensive and disappointing. My daughters salmon pasta was good, however."

Review 38 for McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim
"McCormick & Schmick in Anaheim is our favorite restaurant for both special occasions and just to have a great meal with great service. We have come to know the staff and are always greeted with enthusiasm. On this occasion we were celebrating my wife's birthday and brought our daughter, son inlaw and our 4 year old grandson. We started with Calamari and shrimp kisses which are large shrimp filled with pepper jack cheese and wrapped in bacon, totally yummy. My wife had the ultimate mixed grill which has stuffed & grilled shrimp, scallops and salmon. Our daughter had the seared sea scallops. Our grandson had the childs chicken strips and our son in-law and I had the filet mignon with a side of wild mushrooms. All the dishes were delicious."

Review 45 for McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim
"This restaurant was great for a special evening out when fresh seafood prepared well is what you are craving. The service was outstanding. Water glasses were kept filled. The food portions were generous. We took home left overs, which included the fried clam appetizer and stuffed shrimp from the shrimp trio plate. The scallops with crab hash were excellent. We had early reservations for dinner and the restaurant was not busy. However 90 minutes later as we were leaving, we noticed there were people waiting for a table and others being sent away because they were already booked for the entire evening on a Friday. Near the Convention Center and Disneyland in the Garden Walk shopping Center."

Review 46 for McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim
"Typical choice near Disneyland and the Anaheim Convention Center full of noisy groups from both venues. If you go, go early to avoid the crush and request an "curtained alcove" table which will provide semi-private dining, and you will be able to hear one another speak. This is not a bad choice, just not great...get the "job" done (your email) but absent of any flair...at least at the very busy 19:00 hour."

Review 47 for McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim
"The food was very, very good. I had swordfish. Someone told me that swordfish is always dry. Not mine! It was extremely moist and fell apart (in a good way) that I enjoy. One hiccup with the wine we order for dinner is the waitress was slow to pour the wine. She did not bring the bottle until the main meal was served. This was after we had a round of drinks/wine by the glass. But, you know.....that happens. No worries from this end. We were at the same resturant last year, so that says something......I will go back."

Review 48 for McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Anaheim
"Went on Valentine's Day. Had a reservation (made about 3 days in advance) and was seated right away. Waiter was very attentive and friendly. Tried the swordfish and Mahi Mahi. Both were very good. Crab cake appetizer was excellent. Prices were $25-$30 per plate on average. Not overly expensive for the type of restaurant and for fresh fish. Was surprised that the dining area was not very noisy despite being seated in the middle of the room. I recommend the restaurant and would go there again. Only thing that would of been better is if we could of gotten one of the private booths with curtains, but figure those probably needed a reservation a little more in advance."
