"Addison provided an exceptional birthday celebration for my husband with exceptional service and cuisine. We each had the 4-course menu, and each was exquisitely presented. Each bite was a flavor explosion and amazingly delicious. My husband, the ultimate foodie, was definitely pleased, and the evening was an all around success."

"We opted for the 8 course menu with no indication of the price. We ordered two glasses of champagne (Krug) and a 300 bottle of wine, the meterdi suggested a second half bottle for the first courses. The check was about 1,200 Dolores. Food is not pair with other restaurants for the price. Service is outstanding."

"What more can anyone say about the only 5 star restaurant in So Cal.? Our 5th time here and it was as amazing as the first adventure. This restaurant it a treat for the senses, from the beautiful views to the outstanding food. The staff is terrific and makes the whole experience even better. The peanut butter and chocolate torte with the port ice cream was out of this world! What a way to end a fabulous dinner."

"Good day, As a member of Open Table , we eat in many restaurants , this one is the best restaurant we have been to in many years. They win my award for the BEST. The minute you get to the entry, the welcome is great, then the valet startcalling you by your name and introduce you to the Maitre D, this time it is a charming French speaking Lady . From that moment on you know you are in the best restaurant . Great original food, great service, Great somelier, great great ."

"This was the most remarkable dining experience EVER. The food raises the bar for gourmet. The service was impeccable - even my purse was catered to getting a stool to place it on. We've eaten in many fine establishments worldwide (even one that was Jackie Onassis' favorite) and none of them compare to The Addison. A MUST TRY."

"Food wise, probably the best current fine dining in San Diego. The wine pairing and wine service fell far short. Firstly, a wine pairing that's as expensive as the tasting menu itself is outrageous, unless you are going to amaze me with the wines. Good wines served but none that made me pleased I was averaging about $16/ounce. The wine service itself was sloppy with spilled wine and disinterested descriptions. My wife and I decided, should we ever return, we will bring our own wine with us."

"This is the third time we have dined at this five star restaurant...a rating,I might add, that is well deserved. This time we enjoyed the four course menu...and all of the little extras that they provide. Fantastic food, fantastic service, and a wonderful wine list. We especially enjoyed the attentive service from knowledgeable Sommelier Martin Winters, who selected for us a wonderful Champagne to accompany our Oysters and caviar appetizer, and recommended a fine Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru to pair with our ris du veau and salmon entrees. We love everything about the Addison, and plan on returning many times. Our only problem is...we are running out of superlatives to describe our experiences here. Dine here, it is simply wonderful."

"We are foodies and have eaten at the best restaurants in NYC, San Francisco, Dallas, Miami and in Paris and Lyon, France. This place should be on the world map! Every dish had the "wow" factor and well worth the price. We had the 10 course chef's tasting menu, the portions were just right for tasting. Neither of us left "stuffed" but satisfied. The chef prepares what he chooses and we taste blind not knowing what the next course will be. The service was outstanding even including a multi-bread course at different stages. A special note for our sommelier - he was outstanding in giving us choices of what to choose in bringing out specific taste in the food. He was very knowlegable. This restaurant is a AAA 5 diamond restaurant."

"This was our first experience at Addison; however, it came highly recommended by close friends and family. And I'm glad we experience it! It was a long (3 hr dinner) and amazing experience! Portions are on the smaller side, but you get to choose either 4 or 6 courses and the chef throws a few "freebies" in betwee. And each were amazing! You will not leave hungry! The service was spectactular, it was like watching a coregraphed act, diff servers would come and go and it was entertaining all providing excellent service and recommendations! The only issue I had was the room was quite warm when we were seated (many guys in the rest ended uptaking off their jackets), but I think the restaurant manager noticed and the room cooled quickly."

"Overpriced Food period. Servings were less than demitasse sized. Service was outstanding so if the goal is to impress highly recommend this setting, but don't go ravishingly hungry."

"The food was amazing, especially since we had the chef prepare the dinner and didn't order off the menu. Each course was a delightful surprise and delcious. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, yet not overwhelming. The environment was romantic and the staff took great pains to know our names and made us feel welcome."

"We just added Addison to the short list of truly exceptional restaurants that we have been privileged to experience, including some Michelin 2 and 3 stars. We were treated like royalty from the moment the hostess opened the door and greeted us by name to the last of the genuine good-byes we received. We chose the 6-course Chet's tasting menu with wine pairings, although the wine list was so extensive that we were almost tempted to get a bottle. We were glad we did the pairings. Every bite was superb and the presentations and service exceptional. A true gastronomic experience, exceeding the high expectations we had from Open Table and other reviews. All this comes at a price of course, but, one we were happy to pay."

"This was our second time to the Addison. Our first experience was over-the-top with outstanding service and superior food. This time the service surely did not meet our expectations compared to last year. This year was defiantly sub par. I even poured my own wine. Also, we ran out of wine during our dinner and waited for someone to come over to check on us. By then we were really frustrated. Not 5 star service."

"This was the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. The atmosphere was quite and very romantic. It was not crowded making it more enjoyable. The setting was of elegance and sophistication. The food was in small portions but nonetheless very delicious. The servers, who were very attentative, are the best of the best and the over all experience was that of a five star restaurant."

"My husband and I celebrated Valentines Day here. We were welcomed by name, and given a quiet booth. The room was perfect (not cold) which has been my experience on more than one occasion with air conditioners too cool in winter. We had the tasting menu- seven courses - starting with amuse bouche of cranberry consomme that was heavenly crisp and palate cleansing. Our favorite courses were the Fruits de Mer with creme fraiche, uni, cavier, oyster, fennel and champagne and the second course Mussel Veloute with lemon glazed la ratte potatoes. The fourth course of Coddled Farm Egg with black truffles, prosciutto and parmesan was particularily well received. Highly recommend."

"My wife and I were here to celebrate her birthday, and we both agreed that this was the best "dining experience" either of us have ever had in our lives. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt our time was truly magical. While the food was fantastic and the service impeccable, it was the small details that really impressed us. The friendly greeting by name (pronounced correctly) at the front door, the beautiful decor, and the wide spacing of the tables all contributed to the feeling of elegance and true class. We will definitely return to Addison's."
