"Yum! Food and service are first rate. Very reasonably priced wine list with an excellent selection of Italian wines which complement the food beautifully. Servers are great at selecting wines by the glass to enjoy with each course. Tasting menu is amazing too! They do feature a fixed price menu. This should not scare you - they are accommodating and it is very reasonable for the quality of the experience."

"We had to visit Boca once more, before it moves from Oakley to Downtown. We'll miss having them so near, but the old Maisonette site, Downtown, is not that far away, and I'm sure that they will enjoy more patronage from the hotels/conventions. "Boca is moving so we wanted to go to this location one more time. We were seated in the room way in the back. It is just a bad space and doesn't reflect the atmosphere in the front of the house. The heat was too high and felt like it was 95 degrees - it was very uncomfortable. There was one table with 3 very young kids and another where the guy kept blowing his nose over and over into a hankerchief. We find this habit very distasteful in restaurants - especially in one where you are going to spend $250 for two on dinner - but find that more and more people will just blow anywhere. So besides the ambiance the food is really the best around town - each course was very very delicious. The service was very good. We will try the new place."

"Another spectacular meal at Boca. As it will be relocating in mid March, we wanted to enjoy 1 final meal in a location with many fond memories. Invited another couple and enjoyed great wine selections from Jordan and spectacular service from Nicole. Wonderful new vegetarian options in addition to the usual delicious entrees. We will miss this spot; but looking forward to seeing what the "new" Boca will offer."

"We have eaten at restaurants all over the world. Our most difficult cuisine to enjoy is Italian. My wife is Italian and nothing compares to Grandma. Occasionally, in the hills above Sorrento, in the Tuscan countryside, on a back street in Rome, at a trattoria in San Francisco, or a tiny restaurant in the West Village, she will find the cooking wonderful and almost comparable to Grandma. BOCA meets her high expectations and often goes beyond. It is simply a marvelous dining experience and surpasses anything else in the Midwest for Italian, including Chicago and the kitchen refuses to bend to the Midwest palate which often demands over saucing and a cloying sweetness to the cooking."

"Start to finish this was a wonderful dining experience. I'll start with the menu that was well thought out, provided choices for almost any eating preference, and was much more than the usual fair. The waiter was attentive and offered suggestions along with accepting substitutions. My wife didn't order a first course but was brought a bruschetta to enjoy while the others ate their first course, very thoughtful. Main courses were well prepared, presented, and enjoyed by all. The desserts were a perfect finish. The service from arrival to departure was superb. The valet was waiting, we were greeted upon entering, our coats were taken, and we were seated almost immediately. When leaving our coats were brought and our cars were waiting."

"Cool bar area. Nice decor. We were told that you could choose either a two course or three course dinner (salad, App, Entree) including dessert. I didn't like the fact that it was the only option available. What about a la carte ordering?? We had the sea bass and the Cod almondine. Both were just ok, small portions. The sauces were not that flavorful and it was not as tasty as hoped. We did have the scallops as part of the meal (highly recommended by the waiter and by far the best thing we ate. We should have ordered it as our main entree...it was really good!!) The cheesecake was good, too! Expected more for the money ($200+)"

"This was our first time at Boca following recomendations of friends. The food was very good. Started with the boca caesar which is unique and tasty take on a caesar salad. Overall the food was very good. However, our service was terrible and bad service overwhelms good food. The most egregious error made was our first course was served before our wine. Our server never acknowledged this error nor did he seem to care."

"My wife and I went to Boca for a special birthday celebration, and we both had the Chef's seven course tasting dinner. The taste,presentation and the pairings of food were second to none and the service was attentive without being annoying. The only downsides were the very hard wooden chairs we had to sit on for two hours, and the music was a bit to loud in the back room where we sat. Overall it was a very good experience, the food was so good I almost forgot my sore bottom."

"Jenny, who waited on us, sensing our uncertainty about a wine, volunteered to give us two samples that were similar to the one we were half decided on. She proved to be very knowledgeble, as also of course was Jordan, the wine steward. The samples were generous enough we could share and discern. The single large scallop on dark roasted brussell sprouts was seared nicely. The house-made fresh pasta (in the two versions we tried) had the extra chew one hopes for, but without any of the gumminess often characteristic of fresh pasta. A roulade of veal and pork shoulder achieved a balanced amount of moisture and taste. My companion's black tea was too strong for her, but that was a tiny concern compared to the truly attentive service."

"We enjoyed the seven course tasting with the wine flight. As always, it was spectacular with outstanding service. Boca has become our go-to place for special occasions and this visit did not disappoint."
