Tucked away on a side-street, near the Galleria, is Crapitto's. This upscale restaurant was created by Frank Crapitto and is known as a romantic and elegant place to dine. Crapitto's offers a choice of interiors for private parties, with a gorgeous upstairs room featuring slanted ceilings, which provide a cozy feel to a room that can seat up to fifty people. For smaller groups, the Wine Room, housing a considerable collection, can hold up to sixteen. At the rear of the house is an extensive patio, where guests may dine al fresco in true Italian style. In addition to its ambiance, Crapitto's has earned a reputation for great food and wine, and is a favorite among Houston’s diners that appreciate good food, wine and great service.
"Crapitto's food is prepared with great care. The service is outstanding. The ambience is welcoming, although for some it may be a little bit noisy when the restaurant is full of patrons - it normally is."

"Once again took my family to Crapitto's, this time for Mothers day. The service and food were excellent. The recommendations were spot on and everyone had a great time. Probably the 4th or 5th time in the last couple years we've been and we always leave wondering why we don't go more often. wish they were closer to us........"

"My husband and I took my mother and godparents here for Mothers Day and it was great. Everyone enjoyed their food and our waiter, Joe, was excellent. And, I am always a fan of a restaurant where the owner walks around and checks in on their customers."

"Our annual Mothers Day brunch outing to Mid Lane are always memorable and enjoyable. So many places are so packed and uncomfortableon this weekend that it's always great to get out and be in this warm and relaxed environment"

"Neat setting -- kind of a secluded area off Westheimer with lots of old oaks surrounding the restaurant. I had been to the restaurant before with a business client and was pleased with the service and food quality. On this occasion with my wife, the service was a little lacking -- there were 2 prom groups that seemed to overtax the wait staff. Our appetizer (crab cakes) was lackluster, but my entree (veal chop) was very good. My wife had the eggplant parmesan which was mediocre. Wine list is ok -- mostly known mainstream Californians and surprisingly not many Italians -- but a bit overpriced (of all things, they were out of the Tuscan that I ordered). Overall, my wife and I enjoyed ourselves and would go back despite the disappointments."

"Crapitto's gave us a night to remember. The setting in a small home among live oak trees close to the Galleria made it special from the start. We requested a quiet, romantic table and received just that. The service was friendly, attentive and professional. Our seafood entrees - grilled sea bass and cappellini di mare - were perfectly prepared and downright delicious. One of the Crapitto brothers stopped by our table for a personal welcome that made us feel right at home. This is one charming place with exceptional cuisine, service and atmosphere. We will without question be back during our next visit to Houston- a real treat in every way."

"Very nice restaurant with a personal touch. Top end pasta dishes cooked to perfection!! Very broad selection, so much so that it is difficult to decide on only one entree."

"Unfortunately the food was poor. The fetticune Alfredo had so much cheese it was not editable. The chicken dish I had had no favor as did the sauce and my husband's veal Parmesan was poor as well as the manara sauce. The waiter did inform the kitchen and the pasta was removed from the bill. We won't be retuning and understand why the restraunt was empty."

"Had an informal job interview of sorts there and it was perfect. We were able to dine outside and that was pleasant and relaxing. Everyone from the front door on were so obliging and friendly. The food was very good and I'd like to come back to try something else. I was happy to find this and it's even a place I would consider going to by myself."

"When we 1st arrived we were thrilled to see this neat little house tucked away under the trees. Once we were sat my wife and I had our doubts whether we made the right choice for her birthday dinner. She, being Italian and me loving food, this needed to impress. Once our plates arrived the presentation was spot on and the flavors exploded! She was impressed and I was I love with their marinera sauce. Absolutely wonderful and definetly a place we will frequent."

"Good food and nice atmosphere. A bit higher in price ($25 entrees) but a quaint Italian restraunt. Use the valet though, parking gets awful. Dress of patrons was closer to nice jeans and a polos to slacks and sport coats."
