"Norman's made our anniversary dinner even more special. Seated in the special center area, wonderful attention to detail by the servers. We considered the tasting menu, decided to orde ala carte. The fried green tomatoes, beef tartare, and ceviche for appetizers. Ceviche was prepared table-side for a special treat. Yuka stuffed shrimp -- wonderful! Brazillian styled creamy cracked conch chower, not a fan, it was well prepared, a little sweet in taste and not to our liking. We had the fish -- me the rhum and pepper painted chilean sea bass, hubby the pan cooked fillet of yellowtail snapper. Both excellently prepared and tasty. A great wine list here, must splurge a bit. All in all, worth the splurge for us."

"Food and service are world class. I've lived in Orlando for 13 years and have found no other restaurant that would top Normans. The food is incredible and the service is beyond expectations. I asked if they could place a congratulations note on our table when I made the reservation and they brought out custom menus with the note printed at the top of each one and gave us a signed copy as we left. Well worth the price for a fine dinning experience."

"The food was well prepared and lived up to being gourmet. However, they did not have any light beer, so someone in our party had to go to the hotel bar and get what we wanted. Later in the dinner the manager took care of this for us. They should account for drinks they don't have that the bar literally next door in the building has. The problem is that this is an indepenent restaurant and not associated with the Ritz.
The drinks the manager got for us they did not charge us for, so they did do a good job of making up for the upfront foul up."

"Went to Norman's with the kids (11 and 4). We both had the tasting menu, I had it with the wine pairings. 11 yr old had the veal chip and the 4yr old had the crispy chicken breast from the kid's menu. All the food was delicious. Service was attentive. Great spot for a high end dinner when you need to bring the kids."

"This was our second visit to Norman's. The wait and service staff is extremely attentive - always keeping a watchful eye on the table. The menu has a slight Latin style and flavoring which only adds to the taste. The Brazilian conch soup is amazing, the Pork "Havana" was tender and juicy. The Yellowtail Snapper is served with "garlicky" potatoes - they do mean garlicky. Extra note - Parking is free - with valet service."

"The service was amazing. Britani, the hostess, was very accommodating as we we late for our reservation. We had no problem being seated immediately upon our arrival. Frank, our waiter provided many excellent explanations of the menu. He was also extremely personable and added to the ambiance of the restaurant. The cuisine, AAA+. "Execellent service and very good food. Took my husband for our aniversary and the attention to detail was phenomenal (i.e. complimentary champagne, refering to us as the bride and groom throughout the entire night, printed menus with our names as Mr. and Mrs., etc...) I would recommend this restaurant for any special occassions. Oh, and loved the dessert."

"We took business clients to dinner and we all really enjoyed our meals. One gentleman is more of a meat & potatoes guy, I was a bit concerned for him. We navigated to the more traditional dishes and even got him to move outside of his comfort zone a bit."

"Norman's was fabulous, accommodating, Jessica accepted my calls and requests with patience and displaying a desire to please. Our waiter Paul was perfect for our table. He showed enthusiasm and knowledge about the menu, wine pairings, and offered to everything and anything to make my parent's 60th anniversary celebration special. I ordered flowers for the table which they made certain was delivered, offered us a complimentary bottle of champagne and dessert. We received autographed menus with chef's signature and our celebration purpose printed on the menu. Outstanding Thank you!"

"We had a wonderful waiter at Normans and enjoyed the oyster appetizer. The lamb chop dinner for $63.00 had great flavor but was extremely tough. Not what we expected for that price. Should have been tender and juicy! Sea bass was ok. They did not have a dessert we were interested in. (We always have a dessert at a fine dining restaurant.) Limited wine menu by the glass. Would not go there again."

"One would expect a certain performance from a restaurant housed within the Ritz-Carlton, Orlando. Normans, despite historical bragging rights as a brainchild of New American cuisine, has a baseline of expectations above other dining spots unattached to money and prestige. My back to back evening experiences were surprisingly different - an unwelcome conclusion when "putting on the Ritz." Though the flavors were forward on the palette the avocado in the KEY WEST SHRIMP CEVICHE "Salsa Of Life" ~ Patron tequila ~Avocado was oversold as an ingredient more than its actual role as a thickener in the sometimes overdone dish. "Norman's was a wonderful experience. Our server was very attentive but not pushy. He accommodated one member of our party who required gluten free food in the most thoughtful manner. The house salad was fine but I would try something else next time. The Moroccan pork chop melted in my mouth, very flavorful and tender but don't order without noticing the price first. For dessert we shared a creme brulee...one of the best I have ever had."
