As a Philadelphia staple, we've been serving traditional Bistro fare with innovative preparations amid a stylish setting for 23 years. Overlooking the Schuylkill River, 30th Street Station, Cira Center and the Art Museum, our 4th floor dining rooms present a unique location for any dining affair. Don't forget to ask about our special chef's tasting menus. Bon Appetit!
"I've been to this restaurant a few time. It's easy to miss...in the Marketplace Design Center building. The food is delicious, the ambiance is pleasant, staff could be more attentive. Prices are reasonable. The wine tasting that is optional with the meal is a good value. Chances are you will enjoy this restaurant."

"Early Mother's Day dinner had fine food and an interesting view over the Schuylkill River. The full room was relatively quiet, but had the servers very busy. Lobster bisque was very good, and the filet mignon and salmon were cooked as requested and were good."

"We very much enjoyed the wonderful food and were surprised by the large portions! The Sparkling Peach sangria was delicious as well. If you want to enjoy the city view, I suggest asking for a table close to the window otherwise your view is minimized by the tall wall on the window side."

"I have not been back to the ST. Tropez for several year and I was pleasantly surprised. I am a huge risotto fan and the parmesan chicken with the wild mushroom risotto was elegant. Smooth but just the right amount of el-dente so that is was a joy to eat. The portion was perfect and the wine recommended by our waiter was a perfect match. My wife had steak frites but they served a thicker meatier version of the potatoes I just loved although the crispy shoestring version usually served is my favorite. All in all a wonderful experience that we will soon repeat. The window tables with a view of the river and 30th street station is beautiful and quite romantic."

"Female waitress was rude and inexperienced. Took a long time to get served and receive a check. Food was average at best, with little variety to choose from. Could probably get better service in a fast food joint. Will not have lunch there again."

"Ooh la la. The French just do everything better. The language is sexy, the people well dressed and the food... ooooh the food is fantastic. I love this restaurant. It's no wonder it has been in business forever. Philly restaurants turn over so fast, but here I was told they've been open 26 years. I'm not the least bit surprised, because the food and view were out of this world. I recommend the Dorade if it's on the menu. That's another thing! I was told the menu changes based on the fresh ingredients available at the market. What a nice touch. I respect that. On the menu it says they use local produce and sustainably harvested seafood. That makes me feel good about what I'm putting into my mouth. Merci Chef Rames for a delightful meal."

"Tucked away in the Marketplace design center, I always see the neon sign over the river and want to go in, and for some reason I rarely do. I'm glad my friend hosted her party here or else I may not have convinced myself to check it out. I just came back for lunch because I absolutely loved it. This space is so big, and swanky. It has a gorgeous view like R2L without the pretension. Perfect place to host a party or have a romantic dinner. Try the filet or the duck. Phenomenal."

"Reasonably priced high quality food and wine. Two weeks ago we had an excellent lunch of a beet salad and chicken salad sandwhich with a glass of wine - the whole time overlooking a panoramic view of Th Art Museum area and Schuykill River. Our server, Christian, was friendly and efficient. Four nights ago we went back for dinner and the whole experience blew us away. Again with the panoramic view, the escargot, the lamb shank, the Dorade (fish), and the server, Matthew, gave us the most impeccable service ever. This is now our new favorite Center City restaurant."

"I just love this place. I came for Easter with my mother and brother. The food and service were excellent. I got the braised rabbit, which made me feel a little guilty at first, since it was kind of like I was eating the Easter bunny, but our server told us that in Corsica, rabbit and wild boar are traditional dishes. She also said that in France they have the "Easter poodle" instead of the Eater bunny. I don't know if that's true. I think she said it to make me feel better, and it worked. Not to mention it was delicious! Flavorful and succulent. I loved that they gave away Easter eggs at the end of our meal. I got some fancy chocolates in mine, and my brother got a coupon for a free appetizer. It was really nice. I will definitely be back."

"The Chef never fails to please. I came for lunch recently and loved the prix fixed option. Best $20 I ever spent. I'm dying to find out how they make the salmon in phyllo dough. The profiteroles I had for dessert were just the right size after a filling meal. I didn't waddle out stuffed, but left very comfortably full. I'm glad I didn't fall asleep at my desk afterwards. Bravo Bistro St. Tropez! I am yet again a satisfied customer."

"Easter brunch was amazing! We had a delightful meal for two families. They were able to accommodate 17 of us. Even though it was a prix fixed menu, they specially made children's meals for our kids. Everything was reasonably priced, and our service was excellent. At the end of the meal, our server brought us an Easter egg basket. The brightly colored eggs had chocolate and some had prizes inside. My slip of paper said I won a bottle of wine! What a nice touch. My husband and I will certainly be back to cash that in over a nice romantic dinner. Next time though, I will get a baby sitter so we can enjoy an evening to ourselves. Thank you Bistro St. Tropez, and thank you to the Chef. Everything was excellent."

"Great restaurant. The Chef is very talented. My food was excellent. I came for lunch recently and had a 3 course prix fix for $20. I had to catch a train at 30th street station. (Convenient location, I could see if from where I was sitting.) I let the server know, and my meal was quick and delicious. I will definitely be back."

"This restaurant was wonderful! Both the service and food were exceptional. Matthew was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. From the bread with pesto, to the salad, to the main course, everything was amazing! Both of our filets were cooked perfectly and were served with scalloped potatoes and string beans. At a lot of restaurants where the steak is served with sides, the sides seem to be an afterthought. Not the case here! They were equally as wonderful as the steak! I tasted nutmeg and ginger in the potatoes, very flavorful and delicious without just throwing in a ton of salt! I cannot recommend this place enough! We can't wait to go back!"

"We tried out the 5-course dinner. All 5-courses were wonderful! Everything was cooked perfectly (even the calamari and the salmon). They were very accommodating in substituting my dessert (since I couldn’t have what they were offering). If you don't have time for the 5-course (about 2 hours comfortably), they offer a 3-course and a la carte options (which he had tried and enjoyed before)."

"This was an excellent dining experience, which has been our usual experience lately. The filet mignon and scalloped potatoes are fabulous! The sea scallops also are fantastic. "The food was excellent, as was the service. This is a romantic spot, and great for when you want to have good conversation AND good food. It was a little slow in coming, as befits perhaps a chef who really cares what he/she is serving. The location with the Design Center is a unique, and it is fun to 'window shop' on your way to the restaurant."

We had a great dinner. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The chef came to our table which is a nice touch and check on our dinner. Love the sweetbread appetizer and the wild striped bass with goat cheese and olive. My husband had a scottish salmon which was out this world and filet mignon which was cooked perfectly and was very tender. As for desserts we both had praline mousse cake with abricot and lavender cake and that transported us back to South of France. Can't wait to go back!"

"Highly recommend! Bistro St. Tropez is a very delectable spot for a business luncheon, and proved so for me. The restaurant's wait staff were all polite and cordial, attending to my client and I the instant we arrived. The ambiance was superlative, and equally balanced with its cuisine. Lunch arrived on time, and the filet was delicious. Can't wait to go for dinner!"

"This was one of our better experiences at Bistro St. Tropez. Everything was just right. I tried the rose and did not like it but that was not a problem. Our server replaced it with a white bordeaux, which I tried for the first time and liked very much. Both my husband and I loved our entrees (scallops for me and filet mignon for him) and the service was much faster than it was in previous visit. Overall, this was a very positive experience."

"I was somewhat disappointed in my experience. I had been wanting to try Bistro St. Tropez for a while, but I don't think I'll be going back. "The cream of mushroom soup was excellent to warm up to from the cold weather. I also ordered the scallops, but realized I couldn't finish it because I was so full from the soup. For dessert, I had the creme brulee. The creme brulee could have been better...it was slightly on the buttery side. I guess they might have used a high grade kind of whipping cream for the creme brulee. The service was IMPECCABLE. My server was an absolute sweetheart. I had ran out to feed the meter and when I came back, I discovered that he had put a plate over my food to keep it warm and even offered to heat it up since I was away. Such thoughtfulness goes a long way."

"Everything about this restaurant was outstanding with one exception. We were seated next to a curtain which seperated two dining rooms and while the curtain was not unattractive, it did have food stains on it. That did not add anything to our experience but with that exception, as I said, everything was outstanding."
