Since 1981 La Calle Doces has been serving the Dallas area delicious seafood and Tex-Mex made with the freshest ingredients. Signature dishes such as Pescado a la Parilla, Ceviche and Camarón a la Veracruzana have made such an impact that on August 6th, 1999 a second location was opened in Lakewood.

"Wonderful mexican seafood selections. The three of us dined sumptuously and had lots of food for take home. The taste of everything was impeccable. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was packed out. If my allergies had not been so bad, we would have dined outside. My only complaint was that the noise level was very high. Conversation was difficult coupled with the fact that a roving guitarist parked himself behind me for a long time which only amplified the cacophony of sound. Otherwise, it was greatly enjoyable."

"The service was not very good but I think it was due to a language problem. We don't speak hardly any Spanish and our waitress did not seem to understand us. The food was just ok but the restaurant looked beautiful! It was annoying that the host marked us as a no show."

"This is sad. I remember this restaurant from many years ago as a lovely dining experience. Having work in Oak Cliff today, I decided to take my assistant and have lunch at La Calle Doce. In spite of passing several quiet little rooms with open seating, we were seated in the noisiest, loudest large room in the very back of the house, in the very last table in the corner. Waitress was friendly, but after waiting for over 20 minutes for a guacamole appetizer, it was finally delivered along with the meal (snapper veracruz style). Manager was kind enough to remove that charge from our bill. Food was only fair. If I'm in the area again, I will NOT be returning, but visiting one of the Bishop Arts restaurants that are much better!"

"Had a group of 7 people with reservations for 6pm on a Saturday. It was nice to find that you were ready for us and we were seated as soon as we arrived, even though there was a line of people waiting when we arrived. Our service was amazing, the food was great and everyone had a wonderful time. I still need to get my husband down there for dinner some time. He'll love it as much as I do!"

"This is a great authentic Mexican dining establishment. The ambiance is bright and cheerful; cozy, but not crowded. There is a constant din of diners enjoying themselves, but not so much that you couldn't hear your own table's conversation. The staff and management were great and got us to our table quickly upon arrival. I would rate the cost as moderate, and the experience was well worth the price! We will be back soon!"

"We were there to celebrate an anniversary, something noted when I made the reservation. We were seated immediately in the middle of a very busy room where we were bumped and jostled constantly. Service was quite poor. I ordered iced tea; it came with no ice. Even the first refill came with no ice. When I asked for ice on the third refill, the waiter seemed to resent it. We ordered appetizers, and the waiter pushed us to order dinner; experience dictates that when that is done, the entree arrives almost at the same time as the appetizer, so we asked for a few minutes. The server brought the appetizers. The waiter disappeared. After twenty minutes, I got up to go find him, and finally found a supervisor or someone who sent him around. Cont."
