"Everything was great at haru! The server was amazing and very atttentive and the sushi was some of the freshest and best I've had. Until the middle of may they are donating proceeds from 2 of their rolls to the one fund which is great and the oh toro! roll was definitely a favorite of the table."

"I go to Sushi pretty often and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had.
Waiters were slow and terrible - they obviously forgot to put in our main course order, after messing up our appetizer order. Then blamed the chef and said "well, we had some big tables so we needed to get them done before yours"

"Food was on par with Haru standards - beautiful and tasty! Service was friendly and well informed but slow - we didn't get attention on- time. The runner who delivered food responded to a request for water by pouring it into a half empty cocktail glass. Then the main waiter thought it was funny - after we'd sat with it for quite a while... One more disappointment: too many Marketing materials. It was like being in a mall food court. Over all, this was a disappointing time at Haru."

"The food was very good and offered a variety of items. Service was terrible. Waiter came and took our order very quickly. But then didn't deliver our sparkling water for 20 minutes. Appetizers arrived 30+ minutes later. We were having a late lunch so the restaurant wasn't crowded, at all! The flavor of the food was wonderful."

"Several of my friends celebrated my birthday at Haru. We ordered dessert from their menu and I also brought along bite size sweets from a local store. After we enjoyed our Haru dessert, I wanted in share my own sweets with my friends. I want surprised to see an additional $15 service charge added to our bill because we shared my bite size sweets. It was a quiet night and shocked that we were so closely monitored. I'm surprised the waitstaff or management didn't approach our table and informed us of the charge before they brought our bill."

"Everything was good about the restaurant. I would say the food was surprisingly good (you should get the king crab dumplings). The main appeal is it is a large, fancy, full-bar, affordable Japanese restaurant that takes reservations in downtown Boston. The price was on the high end but definitely worth checking out if/when it's convenient."

"My husband and I had made dinner reservations at Haru and upon arrival, we were taken to our table-a patio table covered with black table cloth with similar tables by the exit doors in the back of the restaurant. As we were not dressed to be sitting on patio furniture, my dress kept catching onto the splintering wood on the patio chair. When I requested another table from the hostess, we were told that those were for the "super special reserved people". I did not realize whenI made a reservation that just requesting a table for 2 was not enough, and that I needed to specify that I wanted a "super special reserve" table. Customer service here is subpar at best. Those special reserve tables-they stayed empty all night."

"The food was excellent the service was good the only thing I was a tad irritated with was I had booked a reservation for 8 people only 5 seats available though? ....and we were a tad late for our reservation....we had to wait for the table next to us to get up...which they took forever and a day to finish their wine ...have they not heard of corking it and leaving? we ended up getting the space we needed like more than half way through the meal. oh well.... so my only complaint is that the reservation I booked wasnt technically fully available other than that I had a great night with my friends!"

"Went for a pre-theater dinner which enabled us to order off the discount menu, so the prices were very good! However, I was disappointed in my spicy salmon maki. Having eaten here before, I really enjoyed the maki; this time it didn't live up to prior experiences. The portion of spicy chicken teriyaki was fairly large for an appetizer size. I would recommend coming early, but the menu is limited for the great deals."
