"I've lived in the area for over 3 years and never been to Morton's... just because. It took a special occasion to finally get me in that door but when I did, I am beating myself up for waiting so long. Went for Mother's Day dinner and we had an experience to remember. We were warmly greeted at the front and our waiter and service was excellent. Did not feel rushed at all and the food was amazing...
Will definitely be coming back once I digest everything I consumed. Highly recommended!"

"We arrived at 7pm and were back in our car by 8pm after spending 225.00. I started with a Cadillac margarita that came with far too much salt on the rim. I had to wipe most of it off. There was no hint of Grand Marnier in the margarita, either. It was the worst margarita I have ever had. My girlfriend ordered wine. They have the stingiest pour of wine I have seen with just the opposite in price. The saddest thing was the waiter brought our entrees before we were even half finished with our salads. If I had to bet, based on how fast the entrees came out, they were not cooked to order. The check came promptly and off we went, 225.00 and about 55 minutes at the table. Hurry along, we need the next seating. Sad, really."

"I have been going to Mortons for many years, the Steaks used to be excellent, i have found at my last few visits this is no longer true..they are mediocre at best, 2 times i was served the big end cut of the New york strip..the bad end...the best is the thin end...you might think of choosing your steak before it is cooked, this place has gone a bit downhill since Landry's took over"

"Food was good. The sommelier was great! Recommended an awesome bottle of wine. Service was under par and they were not busy at all. Not even half the restaurant was full. We spent $214 on dinner. When I spend that much I expect my server to be ON IT. She kept disapearing. Took about 20 minutes in between getting our wine (she didn't even take our wine order or bring our wine, the sommelier did) to her coming to take our food order. Then waited over 15 minutes after getting our bill to pay. Finally had to flag down another waitress to pay. Lots of waiting and waiting."

"First off, the good. The hostess, manager, waiter and entire staff was very friendly and helpful and we rarely had to wait for someone to help us whenever we needed. The place is well laid out, very nice inside and not too loud.
Now for the not so good - the food. We ordered a New York strip and the Maine lobster. The steak came out well. Properly cooked, juicy, but not really any better than I do on the grill at home. The lobster was overcooked (rubbery) and we sent it back. The sides were done well. The desert (chocolate souffle) was horrible, tasteless, the crust was tough and the inside was over cooked. Overall it was ok, but for the price I would have expected much much better."

"My reservation was scheduled for 7pm. I arrived 10 minutes late and was not seated until 7:45. Had I arrived early (i.e. 10 minutes prior) it wouldn't have made a difference. We would have waited just as long to be seated. If I'm not mistaken, reservations are designed to minimize your wait time to be seated.
The corking fee is something that is extremely over priced. It is a $29 fee for someone to pull the cork out of a bottle. From a business perspective, it is understood why the fee has increased over time but the cost is still ridiculous. The server opening the bottle didn't do anything special and the wine didn't taste any different and I was left to pour my glass after he opened it."

"Spinach salad excellent. House salad good. Steaks excellent and perfectly cooked. Only one really bad item and we should have sent it back but there was so much other food we let it go and that was the scallops. They were full of grit. Sand? Pieces of shell? Whatever, they were uneatable. We should have said something to our waiter but, because we were having such a good time, we let it go. But I would never order scallops at Morton's again.
The rest of the meal was fine and, while we don't get to Morton's as often as we like, we have always enjoyed the meals and the service but this one (no pun intended) did leave a bad taste in our mouths.

"Very disappointing experience. It was Valentine's Day, so I expected something a little extra special. The food was mediocre, the fries soggy, the service terrible as we had to request our waitress by asking passing busboys for help. Dressing on the salad seemed watered down and the portions seemed smaller than in the past. We used to look forward to going to Morton's-- no longer. We won't be going back."

"It was my first time dining at Morton's. We went there to celebrate my friend's birthday. I noted that the reservation was for a special occasion. Morton's had printed a menu for us to greet my friend a happy birthday at the top of the menu, which I thought was a nice touch.
The food was excellent. I don't know what else to say about it. If one likes steak, then one can't go wrong at Morton's."

"Upon reserving a table, I let them know it was my boyfriend's birthday. When we got there, our table was ready right away and on the menus, they personalized them and it truly made his birthday a special occasion! The service was also amazing! We were checked on throughout the night and our waiter had some great recommendations and knew the menu inside and out. Although the filet mignon and porterhouse steak were delicious, we found that the chocolate lava cake was delectable! I would go back just for that dessert. The overall ambiance and service made our big night out one to remember. We thank you all so much!"

"The restaurant was very romantic. We were there for my husband's birthday, just the wo of us and we had a wonderful evening. The steaks were perfectly cooked and we both loved the sour cream mashed potatoes. Our server, Kevin, suggested two wonderful wines.

"Six patrons at the bar and two bartenders could not handle the workload. Had to wait for a very long time to get our drink while we waited for our table. One of the managers was standing behind the bar in front of us talking to two patrons and was oblivious we were waiting to order a drink. No bus boys in the second dining room where we were seated so no bread was provided and no water. Our waiter was nice enough, but the food arrived late. When it finally arrived, my wife's steak was burnt and had to be returned and my steak was cold. Overall a miserable night. The management picked up our food tab in an effort to apologize. This was our second time at Morton's and the exact same thing happened. Won't be back."

"We have been to Morton's Woodland Hills a few times before, but we thought it has gone downhill. It was Valentine's Day and we realize that it can be very hectic on that day, but there were empty tables around us and service was just ok. The steak (which isn't cheap) and fries were hardly warm when it was served to us. We're not sure if we will be back anytime soon."

"Better than our last visit but honestly, the only reason we went for Valentines Day was because we had money left on our gift cert. Would not recommend the new crab stuffed shrimp - pretty tasteless. Changed recipe for lump crab cake not as good as old one. Really dislike time limits for special holidays. Alcohol very costly, even for this kind of restaurant. Sat at a table much too small for two people and so close to other tables we could hear their entire conversation, which presented problems and noisy, respectively. Our service was excellent. Once entire gift cert used, we'll not revisit any Morton's anymore."

"The steak was tasteless. The lobster tail was so over seasoned it was almost uneatable. The hostess and server were both snarky and unfriendly when I asked to move to another table. Will never go there again or recomend it. Worst $180 I have spent in my life!"

"Food, general service and waiter were great. Unfortunately, they were over booked. We arrived on time but were required to wait by the door, there was no place to sit, for 20 minutes. The two hostesses were overwhelmed, did not even acknowledge us for several minute and made guests feel like they were interrupting. We really like Arnie's but at $100 per person for the evening you want everything to be right."

"I had higher standards for Morton's which I feel are reasonable to go along with the higher prices as compared to your average steakhouse. I used experiences at similarly priced steakhouses such as, Flemings, Mastros, and Ruths Chris. I would rank Morton's in the bottom when comparing overall experience with the 3 restaurant mentioned above. The two main things that were a turn off where that there was no one at the front to take your name or great you or to at least make sure everyone isn't standing around waiting like cattle, and the plate that my ribeye came on was actually fresh instead of extremely hot as it should be. All that being said it is a good restaurant, but when comparing to others in its price range, it is lacking."

"I made an 9 pm reservation for a booth with OPEN TABLE. Did not get seated until 9:45PM. Something I expect to wait if I was just walkng in. The hostess was very nice about it. Hello Reservation? I took a look in the dining area to see what was taking soo long. There was 2 booths open just not cleaned up.I started to feel like I was not good enough for the place. Another 15 minutes and finally the table was cleared. I dont know why it took so long. Probably bad communication. But everything was great! Its funny you just walk in on a Saturday and say table for 2 the host would looks at you like your crazy "without a reservation ?" But a couple drinks at the bar and the table is available. You make a reservation "same waiting time"!"

"Overall a very good choice. I LOVE going to the Burbank location and was extremely excited one opened locally to Simi Valley. However, I was not impressed with the food as I normally am at the new location. I melt when I have the creamed spinach and lyonnaise potatoes in Burbank, but this time left me feeling disappointed. The potatoes were bland and the spinach had some sort of spice in them I have never tasted before. I will say the bread was to die for, the onion soup fantastic and the steak was amazing as usual. I hope to chalk up the food to the busy romantic holiday and will definitely return, especially since Woodland Hills is much closer than Burbank. What happened to the meat display at ordering? Didn't get that this time."

"It was our first visit to Arnie Morton's and it was our 11 year wedding anniversary. The reservation process online was so simple!! We were seated quickly, our waiter was at our table within minutes for our drink order, and our glasses were never empty. I had requested a booth but despite booking this reservation well in advance we were placed in the smallest table/corner where the waitress proceeded to ignore us for the bigger tables in her station. She didn't tell us if there were any specials, didn't ask if we had a special occasion, didn't refill our cocktails, and she barely took our orders. She didn't ask if we wanted dessert, we had to track her down to order it! This is not something to be expected from a restaurant that charges such high prices for their meals."

"The food is always consistent. We had reservations and yet had to wait 10 mintues since the hostess seemed new and lost. They should have not had a novice hostess at the front desk on a busy Saturday night. That is my only complaint. Everything else was excellent. From our very attentive waiter to the delicious filet that was cooked perfectly. There baked potato was so yummy. Everything food wise was perfect. You can bring your own and they have a 29.00 corkage fee which is some what high but consistent with what other restaurants in the area are charging. Arnie Morton's never disappoints."
