We are convenient to the National Cathedral and minutes from all of Washington's National Monuments. Maggiano's 295-seat dining room is right next to Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.

"The location is lovely, and the service was excellent. I had a very positive first experience at Maggiano's. The waiters were very prompt, professional and friendly. The food was great, no doubt about it. I came here on a Saturday evening in celebration of my prom. If you're thinking of coming here, I would recommend making reservations ahead of time as it was a full house, but other than that, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family."

"Unfortunately, we went on Mother's Day. We did have reservations for 11am, opening time. We were seated in the back of the large dining room between the kitchen/service doors in an almost empty restaurant. The table was missing some napkins and had incomplete silverware sets. The service was okay but we felt bad to have to continually ask for things that should have been on the table to begin with. The best I can say about the experience was that the food was good. I don't plan to return anytime soon."

"We had been to Maggiano's before, but this was our best experience ever: wonderful server who really knew about the food
and was very attentive without hovering too much and neglecting other patrons. The food quality was marvelous, the selection very broad, and the background music of Sinatra and Tony Bennett was played just loudly enough to be recognizable but we could still hear our own conversation."

"My wife and I had lunch on Mother's Day at Maggiano's.
Lunch at 11:30 was an excellent time on that day to be there, as we avoided the crowds at Mother's Day.
The waiter was very attentive, and had a sense of humor that pleased all.
The meal was delicious, as usual. I had stuffed manecotti (sp?) and my better half had gnocci.
I asked the waiter, in a fun way, if my wife and I could dance. He said, "why not start something?"
So we did a slow dance for one of the romantic Italian tunes we heard. :-D"

"Wow! The food here is amazing! My husband, 1 year old daughter and I went for Mother's Day. We decided to get the 39.99 special that includes an appetizer, 2 entrees, dessert AND 2 take home meals! It was unbelievable the amount of food we received. We also had a margarita and a frozen peach bellini. Both were delicious! We will be back very soon!"

"Went to Maggiano's to celebrate our daughter's graduation from American University in DC. We were seated almost immediately upon arriving (had reservations) and greeted and given menus by our waitress quickly. Our waitress was busy but still attentive to us. There were families with small children, but the noise level is not a problem. The food is always excellent here, and the portions are big. We dined "Family Style" and love that we always have extras to take home. One of our entrees was incorrect, but our waitress quickly corrected this (we were originally given veal parmesan instead of veal marsala.) Make sure you save room for dessert, because they are outstanding, especially the Tiramisu which is the best I've had anywere!"

"We have gone to Maggiano's in Chevy Chase many times. We have used their private dining rooms for my husband's 70th birthday and all 60 of us had a blast. My husband and I go for other special occasions or just for a fun night out. We have always enjoyed the food and the service. We especially like the variety of other diners....never a dull people watching moment. We will go again and again."

I sugguest the menu choices on the last page of the menu if you're going to have a group of 4-10 guest. 4 ppl with 3 appitizers to share, 4 plates of food and 2 desserts to share, 2 pitchers of sangria. Total price $175 (gratuity) not included. For the quality of food and service I was expecting to pay $200+. I will be returning"

"Overall Maggiano's was very good. Our party had a very good evening despite the sad reason for our gathering. There was one problem with an entree but the restaurant took it off the bill and replaced it without charge with another one. They had also run out of one fish - it would have been better if the waitress had let us know that in advance before several people in our party wanted to order it.

"I went to Maggiano's for a low key birthday dinner to carb load for a half marathon the next day. We had a party of 12, and we decided to do the Classic choice for the family style. It was a great way to get people involved in the selections and everyone enjoyed getting to try a little bit of everything. The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding! Our server made great recommendations, explained several of the items and overalll made my birthday experience that much more special (Thanks Posha!). The best part was getting to take the leftovers home. I have been to Maggiano's before in Atlanta, but I would definitely recommend the Chevy Chase location."

"I have always appreciated the precision and talent of which Maggiano's dishes have been crafted with. I was, however, shocked to find out that the substitutions they had made in previous times were no longer possible. However, with patience and grace, the server found a solution which satisfied both Maggiano's standards and mine. She and all of the previous staff I have encountered there have been superb by far. I don't usually write reviews, but Maggiano's at Chevy Chase deserves it."

"We had a group of 8 from the office for admin day lunch. It was quieter than usual, perhaps not unexpected for a Wednesday, but pleasant. We skipped family style and ordered individual meals. Everyone said their food was very good - from seafood to chicken entrees. The bruschetta was a hit but there was not quite enough to serve all of us. We ended the meal with the dessert sampler to share and enjoyed that. The service was attentive but the pace of the meal was rather slow. Although we did not complain, our server took the initiative to apologize and to omit the charge for dessert."

"I love Maggianos Chevy Chase my first time there my fiancé and I were greeted personally By the chef at our table, who came out to welcome us and give us a complimentary bruschetta Bread platter to try, since I'd never been there before. I thought that was really sweet.The food was great!!! So this time I came with the whole family and the service was excellent! We arrived 30mins earlier than our reservation and were able to be seated immediately. Our server Rugi was excellent!! She answered every question asked, told us the specials, & Kept our drinks refilled without having to ask. I would definitely come back to dine at Maggianos Chevy Chase Again! I recommend the crab cakes for an appetizer,crab and shrimp tropheo or lasagna & Tiramasu!"

"We were a family of 7 (2 youngsters included). The food was very good, but the service was very poor. For example it took too long to bring food out and the adult food came before the children's food (by 10 mins) which made it hard on them to wait after we adults had food. THEN at the end it took a LONG time for them to bring out the 2 kids dessert--a scoop of ice cream and 3 or 4 lemon cookies---why should that take so long ?? Not much prep there. The restaurant was not crowded, so it was hard to understand why the long waits."

"You certainly won't leave hungry as the portions are quite large. Good food and for the pasta dishes, a great value. I think the steaks are a bit over priced for the caliber of the place but the location is in an upscale area so perhaps they get the asking price. Great experience though and if you have kids that may cry, the din of the place kind of buffers it. I like how they have multiple servers for each table. It saves the unfortunate service that one gets when the server gets 3 or 4 tables at once. Great service!"

"Maggiano's offers an extensive menu of full-fat, delicious Italian and American food! You can order separate entrees or eat family style. Our group of 4 adults and 4 kids chose family style (with 4 entrees) and it was more than enough food. The restaurant is huge and beautiful. The service is very good. It was quiet on Easter Monday evening. However, I have also been there when they are busy (on a weekend night when you absolutely have to have a reservation) and the noise level is greater, but I don't remember being put off by it. If you haven't experienced Maggiano's and you want good food, try it. Make sure you are ready to pay...which is what you'd expected from any nice restaurant!"

"Maggiano's was perfect for celebrating my son's birthday. We had a large party, and they seated us immediately with a ready table for our reservation. Rob, our server, was warm and kind. Anyone that nice to my kids wins me over. He was attentive and kept everything at a great pace for a night with extended family. The food was excellent, and there was a great variety of specials, including dessert. I like Maggiano's in general, and this location was the best I have visited."
