"When you are paying $50.00 for a strip steak, you expect it to be perfect. I have been to Chops many times before and have always had an excellent experience. The steak was dry & bland tasting, even though it was ordered medium. This was not the same quality Chops has had in the past. Other friends who have visited Chops have commented the same. We had also ordered Onion Rings. 4 to an order for $9.50 seems absurd. The creamed spinach was also a small portion."

"It was lovely. My 89 Year old friend was having a birthday. Although we were not big drinkers or last of the big time spenders the waiter was just wonderful. The young man made us feel important. It was all very nice but the waiter was special."

"Chops Lobster is one of our favorites in Boca. If we have any special occasion or not...its our favorite place to go. The Bar is fantastic, noisier of course than the main restaurant,but fun. Great band playing always (we even dance a little at their music) the people that work there are all friendly and very professionals.
Robert, in charge of the Receptionists and reservations and tables, is an amazing, friendly professional. Give him a 10.

"My wife and I have enoyed Chops several times in the past. It was actually one of my wife's favorites until our last visit. The service was poor based on comparable resturants. Both of our main course meals were not cooked as originally ordered. We had to ask several times for drinks and upon our arrival, our waiter informed us that he was very busy so if we needed something we may need to get his attention. Overall, we were very unhappy about our experience and as a result, we do not see ourselves returning. Much to our surprise, after telling friends, we learned that others have had similiar experiences with the service at Chops recently."

It was my first visit and, although I won't eat there regularly, it will be high on my list of places to celebrate a special occasion. "Their porterhouse steak was fabulous and cooked just to our specifications. Their bread was delicious. Was not crazy about their salad dressing with blue cheese, but everything else so terrific. The tables are spaced apart from each other which you do not find so often anymore. We had a very enjoyable dinner and will return for other special occasions as the restaurant is a bit pricey."

"Special occasion. We were offered a table in the bar, which my friend refused, and were put in the main dining room...much nicer. Started out with the waiter mixing up our drink orders, but things got better from there. Food was wonderful, but my friend's steak was overcooked...had to be sent back. However, they were very nice and solicitous about it and the replacement came fairly promptly and was cooked right.
It is very expensive, however, and I think things should be done right the first time. By the way, the last time we had dinner there, my food had to be sent back as it was overcooked.

"Our 20th anniversay started off poorly and got worst. 1st the Maire'd was upset I ordered flowers a local florist rather than Chops. We were early for our 5:30 and went to bar for the 1/2 off HH. Web site offered 1/2 off HH drinks the bar tendress advised Canadian Manhattans did not qualify. Substituting a well Rye Whiskey for Canadian did not qualify either although Martinis did.Ugh! Manager had a poor attitude so we sat down at the table. We ordered the $49 special which was apparently not the right thing to order. My grouper was ok but my wife ordered the stuffed Lobster for a $5 upcharge which was ineatible, sent it back & ordered a strip steak that was also ineatible. We will stick with Ruth Chris & never go back to Chops"

"I was there a couple of years ago for Christmas It was great the price was of no concern. This last visit the Hostess was very polite the 1st waiter kind,welcomed us to Chops and said that our server would be with us shortly. That was not the case and the entire night was marred with slow service. The food I feel had fallen off so then the price became an issue. Don't know if I will ever go back. SAD VERY SAD!!"

"We were early for our reservation, but no problem.....we made our way to the bar and Jerri took excellent care of us immediately offering up deliciously refreshing cocktails. We decided to sit at one of the fabulous booths in the bar area as to take in all the action. Our servers were attentive, but didn't quite get that we wanted to order dinner there, so it took some doing to get menus to our table. Once that was established, we ordered and were very pleased with our selections of petite filet, brussel sprouts, seared ahi tuna (though I don't think they should have served them on a mound of mashed potatoes!), crab cake - INCREDIBLE! Definitely a place to make repeat visits to!!"

"First time visitor. I felt a little rushed. I wanted to order just the appetizers but the server wanted us to place our entire order. Not a huge deal but not something I like to do. There was very little break between courses. The food was good. I had the swordfish and it was very good. I tried to order it less the potatoes and the server said it was part of the entrée. When it arrived, it had 2 disks of potato which could have been left off my plate without a problem. I did not eat them. Wife had the lamp chop and she said it was good. Overall it was good and I would dine here again."

"Every visit to CHOPS is outstanding . My wife started with the crab and shrimp cocktail; I had thr onion soup . Both great. My wife had lamb chops , I had the bone in rib eye. Both were prepared exactly as we ordered The well done hash browns and baked potatoe were perfect .
For desert , the best cheese cake we have ever had .
CHOPS is always an outstanding dining experience."

"I thought all the food was excellent. They did get my wife's steak order wrong, but it was inconsequential.
I would recommend that they upgrade their vanilla ice cream.

"We have been regular customers since restaurant opening. We celebrated our anniversary and were unhappy with the evening. We asked to change our table because of the noise from large parties. They begrudgingly changed our table, saying that there probably will be the same amount of noise. He also said if we didn't like the new table, New York prime was open. We were mostly ignored for around fifteen minutes. We finally put in our order. While we were waiting, we were repeatedly given stuff that we didn't order. When we tried to get our waiter, he never looked our way. My husband's steak wasn't special and mine was ok. If this was the first time we dined there, we would never have gone back. Btw, we tipped well cuz he was nice."

"Went to Chops w the family for my birthday. A great choice! We had a party of 5 including 4 adults and one 10 year old. Not an issue at all. They have a kids menu and she enjoyed her food as did everyone else. We started w the oysters rockefeller which were the best I've ever had hands down! A must try! Next was the wedge salad. A bit big but I shared w my fiend. Also excellent. For my entree I had the lobster tail and filet. Outstanding! To share we ordered the mushrooms(amazing) and whipped sweet potatoes which were like candy. Even the bread was great! Give them a try if your in the Boca area. I will definitely return!!!"
