"This was our first visit to Chops. We have visited all the other Buckhead Life restaurants but somehow we never made it to Chops. This may have been our first visit but it will certainly not be our last...just maybe not on a busy holiday like Mother's Day. The only downside to the visit was our 30 minute wait for a reservation made months ago. But our waiter, Brendan, was excellent. He understand this was a special occasion for my wife, and his attendance was excellent. Our meals were all (my wife, our granddaughter, and me) 5 star quality. The Wagyu Kobe beef steak I had was as good or better as any I have had. My wife's lobster (both entree and appetizer) was the same. We all left happy and in aniticpation of our next visit!"

"The food was excellent! Our waiter however was not that great at all. First of all he would barely speak. When he was ready to take our order he just came over and stood in front of me and never said a word, so we just stared at each other for a moment. Very awkard. "Dark, beautifully wood paneled steakhouse. Great, energetic scene during NCAA weekend. Two of us split the fried lobster tail, 1 crab cake, salad, 16 oz NY strip, 2 sides and white chocolate banana pie dessert, which was more than enough food for us. The steak was well cooked, great sear, and perfectly seasoned. The lobster tail is not to be missed. My wife liked the banana pie better than I did, but we both wish we had tried the creme brûlée instead. Wait staff was exceptional - friendly and able to be attentive, not overbearing."

"I have been living in Atlanta for years after having moved from NYC, known for great steakhouses. I had heard of Chops and wanted to go for a long time. I finally made it with my wife and it was an instant hit. We returned a month later for a wedding anniversary. The food is superb. I had the 20oz Ribeye. The wife had the crabcake. Talk about food flavors exploding in your mouth with each bite. The wait staff is as attentive as you will find, short of having a personal waiter. The people who run this restaurant get two thumbs up, way up.
If you want a great steak in Atlanta, CHOPS is the place to go."

"Chops is absolutely one of Atlanta's best steakhouses. Everything about the Chops experience is superb. The service is impeccable, flawless, and very smooth. The servers are very knowledgable and helpful, and its obvious that they all work together to ensure that each table receives the maximum amount of attention. Our food was outstanding, I would recommend the porterhouse experience, the steak tartare, and the bloody bull, a riff on the bloody mary (it features beef jus, and it outstanding). We also tried Chef Ryan's tuna tartare, and his calamari special, both are recommended. There isn't one bad thing about a visit to Chops, and its easy to see why this place is an Atlanta institution."

"We went with friends to try out Chops after hearing others talk about it. We were seated in the back corner next to a table with 3-4 young children which was a little loud but they were well behaved. They got the drink order wrong to start and got that fixed. We ordered the Porterhouse experience. A little disappointing in the size of the steak for two and there was quite a bit of gristle in both pieces. I have had better meat. It was cooked properly. We were splitting the check between two couple and they totally screwed that up. We were told they did it from memory so not a very good memory. We made do instead of sending it back. It just did not live up to the reviews I had heard from others and doubt I will return."

"This was not our first trip to Chops and it will definitely not be our last. This was a special occasion for my wife and I, and the staff at Chops made is feel special. Even though there were several large parties in our section, our wait staff was on-top of their game and hustled to maintain the experience for us. The food would have been amazing on a slow night, but the kitchen and back-of-house staff was getting slammed with large parties and yet quality didn't slip at all. I was very impressed and the talented team at Chops continues to win my loyalty in a growing steakhouse market. If you want a night to remember, excellent food, and to feel like a regular....I highly recommend Chops."

I fell victim to her favorite Amarone wine...a relatively flat, uninspiring $180 bottle.
I did not like that constant 'hot box" sales treatment and will mention it to my friends.
I understand selling, but humping everything to bump up the ticket is not how I want to be dealt with"
