"My mom had been here several times before and suggested that we go here for Mother's Day lunch. It was busy, but we had reservations so only had to wait 5 minutes when we got there. Once we were seated, it took 15 minutes for our waitress to greet us. My mom had a question about the menu and she rushed her along. When she would pass by, when we asked something she would rush and tried to finish our sentence before we could. The kitchen could not keep up with the volume. It took about 40 minutes after we ordered to get our food, thank goodness for appetizers. The surf and turf eggrolls were good. My mom's fish and chips were okay and my steak and lobster was mediocre. For the price, the quality of the food was okay."

"AFM is a family favorite - the food is simply terrific, reliable, and very reasonably priced. Our server was extremely attentive, without being overbearing. What's not to like? We gambled the night before on a local 'big name' restaurant and seriously struck out; we should have doubled-up on AFM."

"I took a friend to the AFM for her birthday/Mothers' Day and it was GREAT!! I can't remember what she had but she LOVED IT, I had the stuffed flounder and it was to die for, and I don't hand out compliments too freely. I decided to try something I've never had and it was spectacular. Had the Crab(or lobster) fritters for appetizers and they were delicious as well. I had reservations and they called me within 5 minutes of my reserved time. This was a WIN, just sorry it took me so long to come back!"

"dined at AFM at least 20 times in the last five years or so - first time service was this bad. Server was not knowledgeable, very slow in serving the table. It was Mother's Day but I have seen the restaurant busier (Valentine's Day, etc.).

Server seemed new and just did not know how to address table. slow in getting drinks, clearing table, etc. But when the check was delivered seemed to hover around waiting for check.

Overall dissapointing."

"Normally we love the Fish Mkt, but this past Sunday was a huge exception! Seating in back of restaurant was over-crowded and very noisy. Service was slow, took us over an HOUR to get our food, and the food was good, but not outstanding as it usually is. We had 13 in our party and not one was very happy with the experience. Will probably go back at some point, but never again will we go on a special occassion like Mother's Day. Not a good experience, and we all very very disappointed."

"I have had better seafood from the "hole in the wall" restaurants that are closer to the ocean. I dont need the expensive lighting and high ceilings to appreciate something good; i go to the restaurant to eat, the only thing i expect is for the food to be fresh and the establishment to be clean. With that said; the food was deliciously over priced for the portion you will receive. I probably would not go back just because i feel like it is not worth the money for such little seafood but what little i had was the best i have had around Atlanta."

"Great seafood restaurant. Service was awesome and the food was excellent. Very crowded but didnt feel like other tables were on topof you, spaced very well. Lights could be a little more dimmed, but guess you need the extra lighting to see the open kitchen and variety of fish filets on display to choose from. I have been here many times and will continue to go. The prices are a little steep, but worth it. Its not red lobster junk food so be prepared to pay for quality."

"The occasion was a graduation luncheon.
The reservation was for 2pm the hotess refused to seat us based on two of the ten not being present. After stressing that we shoulb be seated anyway the hostess finally capitulated.
The waiter was very condescending and aloof. The food good, the service and time spent waiting HORRIBLE.

"We were seated promptly, our server was helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. We shared a boat load of appetizers - the raw oysters were superb. The fried oysters (enjoyed as an appetizer) were amazing as well. The buffalo gulf shrimp, lump crab fritters, calamari - all excellent. I splurged on the Australian Cold Water Lobster Tail (which was fried) and I'm glad I did - although fried is not a typical preparation for lobster, it was sweet, lightly battered and lovely. My husband enjoyed his 'fresh catch' yellow fin tuna and my sister relished her fettuccine and shrimp. We finished with desserts - a chocolate cake that was moist and decadent but I particularly enjoyed the bread pudding. We'll go back!"

"Children and work can demand large chunks of time to the point that they become your life. Don't forget to take time to nurture your relationship with your spouse. If you can only block out a few hours for a date every now and again like me don't waste it zoning out watching a movie. "We started out with sushi rolls then tried a "catch of the day" and some steamed crab legs. The food was fresh, I'll give it that, but otherwise just okay. Very similar to most other seafood places: catch of the day can be ordered broiled, sauteed or blackened and it is served with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. The steamed crab legs were very salty. The service was extremely nice and polite, but rather slow. Many of the tables were very close together and the place was super noisy. The decor may have been the best part."

"Took my wife and adult kids to AFM to celebrate Mother's Day.

It was a great experience all the way around. Probably in the top five restaurant experiences I've ever had.

Everything was great. Our table was ready at reservation time, service was great, food was wonderful. We had appetizers, entre, bottle of wine, desert and an after dinner drink. It was all terrific.

Highly recommended. I know we'll be back."

"From hostess to valet, EVERYTHING was SUPERB! The food is so great words cannot fully express! We each has sushi, then hush puppies (to DIE for) for app and I had Mahi Mahi Terryaki and my husband had Hong Kong style Salmon and Sea Bass. The hardest thing about going back would be to try something else bc this was SO GOOOD! we had the James Beard Award winning bread pudding to finish the night and WOW!!! Our server was so knowledgeable, so polite and attentive, clean and tidy and all around AMAZING! I cannot wait to go back!!! Perfect date night out and also saw children there as well. A+++"

"I had a wonderful experience dining for the first time at AFM. I'd heard of it for many years but hadn't made it there until last week to celebrate my birthday. My table was ready without a lengthy wait and they recognized my special occassion note readily. The yellow fin tuna carpaccio was superb with just the right amount of salt, chives and olive oil drizzle. We also had the crabmeat fritters which were amazingly large, lightly battered and fried lump crab yielding to a creamy spicyness inside with remoulade sauce. So many entree selections to choose from but I decided to get the broiled seafood platter and was not disappointed. The crab cake was phemonenal, as were the scallops and salmon. The shrimp were a tad overcooked however."

"They just do seafood the way it should be. I called in advance and requested two, two and 1/2 lobsters. No problem. Waiter said that they had the lobsters. They also provided us with a wonderful desert for our anniversary. Year in and year out, just and excellent restaurant."

"The menu is wonderful and has a large variety of dishes and seafood to select from. Honestly, I have never had such fresh fish and it was prepared perfectly. One of the adults with us doesn't eat anything but chicken. The server was very accommodating and allowed her to order a double helping of chicken fingers from the kids menu. We had a great bottle of wine and good key lime pie for dessert. Our only complaint was that we were seated next to a leak in the roof. Our table had to be pushed close to the table next to us and I felt like I was having dinner with the couple from the other table. They were very loud and we could hardly hear the each other. We should have asked to be moved."

"We went there for my birthday. It was the first time we decided to take all 3 kids (8, 10, 10) to a nice, "expensive" restaurant. We had the best experience. The waiter was great to us and our children. The kids ate great and were very happy to be there. I would highly recommend. We plan on going there again soon."

"I had the opportunity to meet up with my Jet-Setter Son, who was on his way to London for work. It was especially nice as he is from the West Coast and Seafood restaurants are plentiful. I chose Atlanta Fish Market because it always delivers quality dining. It also is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta.
