"It was my third dining experience and look forward to the fourth and many more.

"This is a sophisticated northern Italian restaurant dropped in the middle of office buildings in Burlington. Great food, good wine list, high prices - everything you would expect in Boston.

We enjoyed a three course meal for $33. The $44 entrees on the normal menu do give pause...

From the moment you arrive to ample parking with a free valet, everything is first class. An event restaurant, a business restaurant, a foodie's delight - just not cheap.

"The service was outstanding from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Love the decor in the bar area and the bar choices were extensive. We went during restaurant week and the chef added a salmon dish to the choices which I tried and was absolutely delicious. We will definitely return when in the mood for a "nice" night out."

"A stormy monday night was made very wonderful by our dining experience. Beginning of restaurant week, good choices,generous portions,gracious service. Food was served hot and stayed warm!!!
The space is pretty and quiet, tables with the large chairs make it all feel more private than the usual restaurant. We will plan to return and recommend."

"Very good food - solid, meaning done well with more refinement than you find in most local restaurants. However, on a normal Saturday its overpriced. For those prices, you should get a real gourmet meal, and while the selection is in keeping with the theme (Tuscany), its too bland for foodies. We'll probably go there once a year during restaurant week, when you can get in for a relatively reasonable $33 (they also offer basically the same truncated menu as the 'Tuscan Country Supper' for $38 Sunday-Friday). You could try that if you don't want to wait for restaurant week. Also, decor is basically what I'd call 'middle class formal' - they didn't want to go all the way into Tuscan rustic (I wish they had). But they know their audience."

"Everyone from the Valet parking staff, host/hostess, wait staff, servers, bus people, and manager were friendly, inviting, solicitous and extremely welcoming.
The food preparation and presentation was outstanding...and the taste of our meals, swordfish and steak, out-of-this-world! I'm not much for ordering steak, but would do so at L'Andana's any day of the week. A must for a special occasion as prices are a high for the suburbs, but well worth every penny. Just don't sit near the front door or you may catch a draft each time diners enter or leave the restaurant."

"This has quickly become our favorite restaurant, but our experience Saturday night has us questioning if we will ever return. Our server was more concerned with her larger tables than her two tops (we were not the only table she neglected). It took over an hour to receive our meals, my husband’s filet was over cooked and the front of the house staff was very discombobulated. Upon leaving we were only given one coat back from the coat check. When we explained we checked two coats, we were told “Oh the other coat must be on the floor”… really!"

"There was a steak special that was not the regular steak.
The server served the more expensive one but when pointed out it was the wrong steak, due to server error in coding, the better steak was taken back and I had to wait for the "special" one.
I wonder what happened to the "better" steak? Seems like a wasteful maneuver when they should have asked if I would instead take the "wrong" order."

"Nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about either. The dining area, while nicely decorated in muted browns is far from what I would call an intimate dining room. It is more of a dining hall. If you're thinking of getting the Tuscan grilled steak,the menu points out that it is a fatty cut of meat That's the truth, and then some. Mine was way too fatty, and at $34 not good value for money."

"Appetizer was very good and steak was outstanding and cooked perfectly. Chocolate cake was amazing. My only disappoitment was the sides with the steak. Was surprised the potato was just a potato with only salt. Was hoping for something with more taste and more creativity.

Definitely a very good place but plan on trying out some of the competition in Boston as a place we loved in Round Rock Texas was better since they included a fabulous side with the meal and gave you a choice of what side you would have with the meal. Perhaps this is someting unique to upscale steak houses in Austin and will have to adjust expectations for Boston."

"In a nutshell, the food was great. The restaurant ambiance is great. But the service was terrible. 6 of us went for a special occasion and after we were sat, we waited more than 30mins before anyone came up to us. 10 minutes later, we were able to give a drink order. The inattentive service continued throughout the night and our dinner ended up taking 3 hours (not by our choice). At the end, we finally grabbed someone's attention and asked for coffee and he said "well, we're going to bring you dessert menus." When, next Tuesday? It's too bad, I've been here several times and love the food and atmosphere, but would not risk going there for another special occasion. The long lapses between service put a damper on the night."

"Four of us had a private table surrounded on three sides by wine racks. It felt like dinner in a wine cellar.Our waiter was outstanding. He recommended a very good medium bodied Italian red, which we all enjoyed. The menu is a little heavy on the grilled meats for an Italian restaurant but their preparation of all our meals was excellent.
You will want to look good when you go to L'Andana. When they say casual elegance, that's what it is. A nice change of pace from "nobody cares". This is a welcome alternative to Boston for a special occasion."

"Good to great food, great steak, truffled fries good not great; asked to get a substitution for whipped potatoes with a $44 steak and we were told that we would have to pay extra for a substitution! Wine list way overpriced; service worsened as time went on,(we were in the back room without the tablecloths); place was full and there was one waitress for at least 12 tables, but she tried her best to make us happy--expensive( app, salad and pasta w/ half bottle of wine $110pp) but good for expense account meals--"

"The food was wonderful! I had the Scottish Salmon and it was the best salmon I've had in the last 10 years or maybe ever! It melted in my mouth. My dinner companions both had filet mignon and raved about it. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I wasn't a fan of the lighting in the back room (felt like there was a spotlight on me), but other than that, it was a wonderful outing."

"Frutta di mare arrabbiata and malfaldine with veal meatballs, plus a truffled carpaccio as an opener. Yum. "I was VERY impressed with L'Andana! I was hesitant at first because the location is outside of Boston and I didn't know if the quality of food would translate.. yet all of the other restaurants owned by this group are OUTSTANDING. "Took advantage of the "click for flowers" so my valentine's day recovery act was off to a good start.

Tuna Tartare is swesome. Best calamari and I have high standards. Lamb Chop is devastating. Lamb is awesome. Two days later I went back with business associates, one of whom is a rancher in CA and he said best Lamb Chop he ever had. I had the cod that night and it was up to a high standard.

Epson made my wife and I (and then my biz associates two days later) feel like there just happened to be some other people at the restaurant that nite.

There is an old saying that great suburban restaurants in the Boston Metro area invariably fail. I think L'Andana just may have cracked the code...I'll try to do my part to keep 'em comin'."

"I actually decided on L'Andana after hearing that it came from the same restaurant group as Teatro in Boston. I went to Teatro last year and was blown away so I was hoping this would be similar. It was EVEN BETTER. I very much like Tuscan style food, and this was right up there with some of the best I've had. The garlic bread was incredible, and I was very impressed with the crispy calamari, which was perfectly cooked unlike most places. My one complaint, the tortellini. It is an extremely small portion, for the same price as my much larger and outstanding wood grilled salmon. I would recommend entrees before pasta if you eat here. Overall though an outstanding experience. Would most definitely dine again."

"A Boston caliber restaurant in the suburbs is a nice resource. The food is delicious, although the appetizers are not a good value relative to cost. The wine list tilts north of $70 a bottle for the most part. Only go if you are willing to spend some money. "Our table was held for 10 mins since we were running late-handled graciously on the phone. Received same treatment when we arrived & seated at a quieter table in back of room as requested. Our server was courteous & attentive, however, with a longer than usual wait between appetizers & main course, she could've informed us regarding the delay. She walked past our table several times but nothing said. Perhaps not drawing attention to it is best if we said nothing about it & we chose not to. We took it in stride - it was a big Valentine's Day crowd; it happens. Also worth noting is our food being delivered to the table next to us-a server switch? Quickly rectified. Still, a quite wonderful experience at one of our most favorite restaurants!"

"L'Andana was quite simply the best restaurant I've been to in the Metro North area. The food is Tuscan-style Italian with a great selection of steaks and other grilled meats. I had the Scottish Salmon with black lentils and root vegetables - it was excellent! The room is large and wide open with high ceilings, but somehow the noise level was not an issue. The excellent service we received is also worth noting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special night out."

"Saturday night was the fifth time we've dined at L'Andana since it opened. We just love, love this restaurant! The bar scene is very lively and you don't have to wait long for a cocktail. The interior design of this venue is fashionable and trendy yet comfortable - you want to spend all night here dining from soup to nuts! The wait service is professional and friendly but not intrusive. Apparently, there was a wedding going on Saturday night in a function room adjacent to the dining room. It was a bit noisier than usual but it added even more energy to the ambiance. Highly recommend L'Andana!"

"Although we had a 7:30 reservation, we had to remind the front desk at 7:50 of our presence, after which they proceeded to seat us very quickly. Because of the apparent slip-up,or delay, or whatever, we were treated to a complimentary basket of frech fries, which went with nothing else that we ordered.

The food was good, but it was extremely heavy, and the portions are very large. You need to go there planning that you will have leftovers to take home, or else you will eat far too much. We did not order a bottle of wine, but told the server that we might wabt to order glasses of wine with dinner. When dinner was served by someone other than our server, we could not find her to order individual glasses of wine."

"We had a great meal at L'Andana. The only problem was our table was right outside of the wedding, so loud music was playing the entire time. The food was great, service was great. I just wish before being sat we were at least told about hte wedding, rather than being put right in front of it. I am happy i was with friends and not my family. Then today my husband called me and the bill was being split three ways, 2 couples paid cash, we paid debit card. We signed out debit card when it came back. When we looked at our bank account the entire check for almost $400 was deducted? this is a huge mistake, considering it should have just been the $124, that we signed for??? My husband called and it is being fixed, but wasn't thrilled!"

I stopped by the restaurant early on valentines day to see if they can have flowers ready on the table when me and my girlfriend arrive. The people at the front desk were very nice and willing to do this extra favor for me. To my delight they were on the table when we were seated and my girlfriend was very happy.

But unfortunately I had dropped off 6 roses in a vase and there were only 4 when we were seated. Not sure what happened to the other 2 as they said they will be stored in the walk in out back. Our night was still great and I would recommend the restaurant but I don't think i could trust them to do any extra favors aga"

"While the food at this molto expensive restaurant was phenomenal, the vibe is so pretentious it's hard to swallow. From the practically mandatory valet parking to the hipster cavern decor to the bowing busboys, it is obvious that the management group is trying way too hard to make you forget you're on 3A in Burlington. They didn't fool this diner.
For delicious, authentic Italian that won't break the bank (or your back with cushions that are so deep you feel like a 5-year-old), try Ristorante Pavarotti in Reading."

"The food is always wonderful (but my steak was overcooked). My biggest problem is that people dress so badly there - most men were wearing jeans and flannel shirts. One guy even kept on his baseball cap. This is a very nice restaurant. Please dress for it. My husband was the only man there (other than staff) wearing a jacket. We ate early. "This was my first visit. My wife and I were meeting another couple and wanted this to be a high quality fine-dining experience, and it was in spades! From the moment we pulled in and dropped the car with the valet, I could tell this was the place. The bar is cozy and comfortable, where we waited for a few minutes for our friends to arrive. The greeter, bartender, absolutely everyone was very professional. Dining room is nice, I just wish they would put tablecloths on the tables. Our table was a little shabby, but who cares, really? The food was just perfect, from mussels appetizer to swordfish, steak, pasta, salmon, a side of spiced squash. I would go back in a second. The staff are superb. The food is as fine as I have ever enjoyed."

"The food was excellent, properly proportioned and very tasty. Nice open, airy room with hip but not too loud music. Service was excellent, although a bit slow for our pace. "Overall very good to excellent. Ambiance very nice with high ceilings, spacious placement of tables and very comfortable chairs. Once service engaged it was excellent. For appetizers our table's squash soup and mussels appetizers had some unexpected heat; the mushroom pizza had lots of flavor but might be a little salty for some tastes. "We had a lovely evening at L'andana. We love meeting friends there because it is "halfway" from many directions.

When we arrived we were seated at a table near the door which had a terrible draft. The staff was most accommodating and moved us to a more comfortable table. Our waiter was very pleasant and food was served quickly. The meal was excellent. Our only complaint was that the servers could not get the meals straight and we had to keep shuffling our plates....a minor complaint! We look forward to going to L'andana again soon."

"This was our second time (in two weeks) and we were very happy with our meal, the ambiance, and the convenience. The decor is stylish- rustic Tuscan farmhouse but with a contemporary flair. The waitress remembered the wine I liked, the service was attentive without being intrusive. We especially love the background music - it's an interesting eclectic mix of soft jazz and pop which plays like it's been carefully selected and it stays in the background. We'll go again soon."

"Portions are generous, but the ceasar salad had the whitest and most tasteless romain lettuce I have ever had. Drinks are a bit over priced with a Johnnie Walker Red on the rocks costing $10, about 10 - 20% more than many downtown quality resaurants. The service was very efficient, friendly and attentive although there was a bit of disconnect between the two hostesses that greeted us. Not the best Italian food availabe, but still quite good and worthy of consideration if you are stuck out in the Northwest Suburbs or are looking for a different venue for a special occasion."

"This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion. The food was fabulous, the service was impecible and the ambiance was warm, romantic and inviting. "We thought this would be a safe bet, and I expected much much more from Jamie Mammano, et al. The menu can only be described as safe--nothing adventurous. Right now 2 beef, 2 fish, 1 chicken and a veal chop...ho-hum. Salads were way too cold, iceberg lettuce wedge sat in a pool of water-logged blue cheese dressing. The bill for 4 in our party was nearly $500 before tip and the only thing a "suit" could tell us about the distinct odor of quarternary ammonium sanitizer was that it smelled like bleach (no offer to compensate for the wine it ruined). Speaking of wine, it's ridiculously overpriced. I guess the mgmt team thinks it can fool the suburbanites with nice chairs and call it haute cuisine, but it's not. Good, but not great. At all."

"i've eaten here several times and really enjoy the ambiance, the menu choices, the wine selections. however, with downtown prices but situated in burlington, i expect the main courses to be really stellar, and they're really just fair. The appetizers (especially the heart attack inviting fonduto) and the mafaldine were excellent, but the newest menu item, a lamb shank, was absolutely tasteless and fatty. The main courses are really pricey for mediocrity. overall, L'Andana is a great place to dine - I'd stay away from the main courses however, and stick with the pastas, the apps and the bar menu."

"Great food, large portions, excelent service and a little loud. Expected the prices but did not expect the large and generous portions. $35 Fixed Prixe 3 course menu is well worth it. Portions were not scaled back as part of the special. Filet, Chicken Milanese and Swordfish were exceptional. Wine list was impressive with many bottles in the affordable price range. We had a party of 5 so we ate in the dining room. Will go back as a party of 2 and try dinner at the bar. Complimentary valet parking is a nice touch on a cold night. Eat out several times per week and we will go back!"

"What a disappointment!! L’andana was hosting a large private party in a room next to the dining area. The noise and loud music made our dining experience very unpleasant from start to finish. While the food was good and waiter did his best to please, management brushed off our concern. I don’t mind paying premium prices, but I expect the ambiance to be appropriate. L’andana is trying to be both a fine $$$ restaurant and function hall. It doesn’t work as the rooms are adjacent. After our visit, I found similar reviews online. Strongly recommend you call in advance. If L’andana is hosting a private party, best to visit another restaurant where they appreciate diners and can deliver an enjoyable experience."

"Our table was not ready when we arrived and other same size parties were seated before us. We waited longer than we should have to order drinks. Bartender did not know how to make a daiquiri or a scotch sour. We sent back both and settled for wine. After we were under the radar things improved and we had a pleasant evening."

"We've eaten at L'Andana several times and the food was always great. We went there for New Year's Eve this year, and were surprised to find how different the food was. It was the same menu, but did not taste the same. The broccoli rabe, which we always enjoyed, was so oversalted that we couldn't eat it. The chicken Milanese seemed different from last time. It was a huge portion, but was just so-so for flavor. My friend had the grilled salmon, and said it was excellent. My husband had the swordfish, but said the vegetable topping was mushy, and again, way oversalted. Our other friend had the filet mignon, and loved it. On the way out, we mentioned the saltiness to the hostess, and she informed us that there is a new chef."

"We dined early on Christmas Eve. Lovely interior, great service from staff who knew the menu and gave great advice re. food and drinks. 2 of the 4 of us had the 3 course deal; one of us asked about veg. choices. The waitress offered to have a pasta dish made up which was very tasty. Great coffee. Left full after a leisurely dinner."

"Service seemed slow at first, but they give you a chance to settle in and take in the ambiance. We had the feeling we were dining in a large home dining room in Tuscanny. The food was great, the service was always on top of it and the value was what we expected. The large groups were placed away from the individual tables and this controlled the noise and activity level in servicing the groups. These guys know what they are doing and we'll be going back. First class all the way."

Great Cocktail - The Affair
Excellent Raw Tuna app, Excellent Lobster Pasta half size as an app.
Filet for Main course almost two smokey on the outside, not burnt, well seared but so much smoke that it tasted almost artificial. Pasta with Veal Meatballs as a Main Course - Good but not great.
Cider doughnuts were okay, not legendary as expected. Molten Chocolate Cake Excellent large portion and had a true just baked feel to it, not a somewhat typical reheated approach.

Service just not up to in town standards, not something I typically notice but in this case it felt amatueur, not bad but not someone that could really talk about the food.

And yes you will still feel like you are in Burlington"

"Everything was wonderful. When making my reservation on OpenTable I had mentioned in the comment section that I was taking my sister out for her birthday and asked if the was any special deserts available. When our desert came they had written Happy Birthday on my sister's plate and there was a lit candle in the desert. I was surprised that they even got the request I wrote on OpenTable and surprised again when they knew which one of us was celebrating our birthday! Evidently, when I checked in at the restaurant the hostess took note of our names and told the waiter which one was the "birthday" girl."

My wife and I met there on ur way home from work and decided to just sit at the bar and the food was great and service even better. "The decor was lovely, and even when full, the restaurant never got loud. Service was fine.
A squash soup appetizer was good, but much too large for an appetizer. Size, and price, should be scaled down. It was topped, the menu said, with a maple cream. A scant trace of cream quickly disappeared, unnoticed, into the large pot. Crab tortellini were light and wonderful. A chocolate mousse was dense and rich, not at all mousse-like, but delicious.
Everything was very good, but if a restaurant is going to put a $44 steak on the menu, they need to be doing something very extraordinary. Prices were high for the experience."
