"We live in western Suffolk and drove the 46 miles and it was worth it. The ambience is off the charts, the oversized table for two and the layout of the table just add to the experience of this lovely hidden gem. The only complaint is that the wait staff needs to catch up to the kitchen staff. The food was delicious, the Inn salad and flat bread of the day was great. The figs on the flat bread made it one to remember! The entrees were just as good, will definitely be back!"

"My daughter was visiting w/ me recently so we decided to dine here Saturday eve. We've been here before when the chef was different, so we were eager to check out the menu. We were both impressed with dinner. The food was delicious, came in sizeable portions and was presented on the plates w/ flair. My daughter had seafood fritters, duck and a fabulous chocolate dessert; I had clams, ribs and an ice cream trio. Service was attentive and the bill was reasonable for what we ate (which we enjoyed immensely)."

"The only reason I went there was because of the chef, she used to run Amerell's which I loved. Jedidiah Hawkins wasn't anywhere as good as her other resturant. The bill was over priced for the quality of food! The only food we all seemed to enjoy were the appetizers/first course."

"We dined on the second Sunday of restaurant week. Mishap with reservation was rectified. We received the quiet table requested.
Our appetizer of duck rolls was tasty (not outstanding however) but orchestrated well, bread was fresh and replenished. Entree of salmon and couscous, no vegetable, small in portion was fine. Entree offer of ribs, baked beans and corn bread was not acceptable. Meat was beyond tough. Manager could not be more accommodating. Waiter delivered a salmon replacement as selected.
Dessert selected: a trio of (slightly icey textured) ice cream flavors...one an odd passionfruit flavor...very tart.
Have dined here before.Food this time did not stand up to the Inn's usual standards. Will return again however."

"Felt at home the second we walked in. Maitre d greeted us warmly a bartender made us fantastic cocktails. Our servers, Diane and Kelly, were outstanding. They answered all of our questions and their dining suggestions were incredible. We started with cheese plate and mussels, both if which were delicious. We had the chicken and lamb as entrees and continued to have out palates pleased. Dessert blew us away and we will definitely be back! Kudos to Chef Lia and her crew!"

"We are locals but it is always a treat to eat at Jedidiah Hawkins. Their new chef, Lia Fallon, is already doing an amazing job!! It was restaurant week so it was an exceptionally great deal. There were many delicious choices and the portions were beyond generous! We had short ribs and salmon that were both cooked to perfection. Because of a misunderstanding with our order, the maitre'd was so apologetic that he brought us a BOTTLE of wine!!! on the house! The service was so gracious! And to top it off the desserts were amazing with the most delicious banana ice cream I could ever imagine!! This dinner far exceeded our expectations and we applaud the entire staff!! Thank you!"

"We had stopped going to this restaurant for a few years. I have to eat Gluten free and I was limited to steak. We decided to give it another try and have gone back four times this year. They make the best soups without thickening with flour and many of their dishes are gluten free. All of them are delicious. The last visit I ordered mussels with saffron sauce to start and had salmon with lentils, olives and tomatoes for my main course. Both dishes were outstanding. Congratulations to the new chef- she's a winner!"

"We were thrilled to see Chef Lia Fallon was at Jedediah Hawkins and traveled a great distance to have her cook for us again. We were not disappointed!! As usual Chef Lia cooked an outstanding meal full of the highest quality and freshest ingredients around. The short ribs were melt in your mouth fantastic and the frenched chicken breast was moist and not dried out. The wild mushroom risotto with spring peas was perfection!! DO NOT miss the opportunity to try this wonderful restaurant, the atmosphere is warm and cozy and Chef Lia always cooks the most delicious and creative meals."

"Jedediah Hawkins has had 3 chefs in the 5 years we have been going there. It has not been the same since Tom Schaudel was in charge. We were disappointed by the spotty service and mediocre food. It was Hampton's Restaurant Week, but they should have put their best foot forward. Jedediah Hawkins is a lovely spot, worthy of better food than bitter cheddar beer soup and gamey short ribs. The middle school aged bus boys tried hard, but were just not professional enough for a venue of that caliber. The servers had to ask who got what. That shouldn't be. I don't know if we will give Jedediah Hawkins a second chance."

"We not only had dinner at Jedediah Hawkins we also spent the weekend. The restaurant was amazing the chef Lia Fallon along with Brian are a very pleasant experience she has recently come to Jedediah's and they are so lucky to have her. The tasting menu is amazing along with the Speakeasy menu we had mac and cheese, sliders and Blt that was not like anything we have ever tasted. Included with the room is a multi course breakfast which is an amazing surprise every morning. This is worth the trip you will not be disappointed. Lia is one of a kind!!!"

"First time at the restaurant since the new regime took over. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Danny from Blackwells, glad to see that he is here now. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the new menu. The wine list was revamped, it has a lot more selections now...very nice. "We spent a lovely Easter at Jedediah's. The food was delicious and the setting was beautiful. The servers were friendly and helpful even though some were new recruits just hired when the restaurant reopened after a winter break. We enjoyed everything, from the meat and cheese plate, the tasty duck rolls, our perfectly cooked entrees, to the homemade sorbet for dessert. It's a treat to have Jedediah's open again with Lia Fallon in the kitchen."

"We have been regular diners here for a number of years but were unaware of the changes in chef and staff. We were exremely disappointed and will not return based on our experience now. The food was not well prepared and came cold for two of our party. Any requests (i.e. for balsamic vinegar for a salad) was so slow in coming that the salad was eaten before the vinegar arrived. Our waitress seemed unfamiliar with many of the preparations. Sadly, our entire experience was so unlike what we had always loved about this restaurant that it is no longer going to be a destination for us. The new chef and staff really need a significant review with major changes in food and service. Also, the menu is extremely overpriced."

"To ruin a dinner with gross incompetence is a bad thing. To do so on Easter Sunday... unbelievably dumb - especially for a new chef. We had 3:15 reservations for the "dinner" menu. We arrived at 3P and were seated promptly. Little did I know that this was the best that the service would be. Wait time for first minuscule course 35 minutes - and I had to ask twice. The plate was seriously lacking for two - much less three people. The second course - again very late but at least average in quality - again a miserly proportion..... shrimp cocktail is traditionally a dish served with 4-6 shrimp... not three. The asparagus soup was tasty - really the only thing passable for the "special Easter Dinner. Entree arrived at 5P."

"It was our second time at JH, and we really enjoyed it. The room is wonderful, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is very solid. The only drawback on the food is it ranged from ok to great depending on the dish. I had the rack of lamb, which was excellent. My wife had the gnocchi, which was very soft almost to the point of dissolving and bathed in buttery, creamy sauce. Our appetizers were very good, and dessert (the caramel parfait) was fine, but nothing special. The wine selection is so-so. So, overall, very solid and will definitely go back."

"Totally enjoyed the experience, one disappointment, we thought because it was listed as one of the places for restaurant week we would have the choice of a reduced menu including the local wines. We did ask and were told it was only until 6:30pm and our reservation was for 7pm."

"Immediately when we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a staff who spent the event ensuring we had a wonderful experience. We were excited to try the new menu and we were not disappointed. "Food is always excellent here even in its many incarnations with revolving chefs. Service a little non-professional. Young girl never gave us our amuse bouche and then "forgot" to bring me the second beer I ordered. Apologized and admitted she "completely forgot"."

"Service was not good. We attended the Valentine Day dinner. My wife never got her champagne which came with the prix fix. I paired my dinner with the wine choice. My 1st wine arrived after I was finished my soup, and I never got my dessert wine. When I brought that to the server's attention, all she said was sorry. At that point, we did not want the drinks, but I assumed she would do the right thing and adjust the bill. Very, very, very slow, too. Food however was terrific."
