"Outdoor dining is problematic at this restaurant, which is located in an unfenced section of a sidewalk at a shopping center. All shoppers pass through with bags, strollers, etc. while one is dining and servers are attempting to juggle food and beverages. Children run rampant. Entrees were overcooked and overspiced/salty. Oysters were excellent, as was the service. We spent about $100 for two dinners and it was simply not worth it."

"Dined on 5/10/13, it was a beautiful evening to dine outside...but, Smokers are given priority here. The table were we seated was next to a woman smoking like a chimney. We got up immediately and walked inside. The hostess shrugged her shoulders and moved us inside. "Smokers can smoke outside".
We will be searching for a restaurant that is truely non-smoking where we can dine outside and breathe clean air. I rated this overall fair because of that."

"Good food & ambiance. My husband had the trout, which was delicious! The waiter was nice enough to substitute the lentils (my husband wasn't a fan of!)to a yummy spinach mashed potatoes. I had the espresso rubbed NY steak, which was done to perfection! The creme brulee was totally awesome, very light and not too sweet.
Unfortunately the noise level was overwhelming, one could barely hear the conversation at the table. I would not go there for a romantic dinner! But it would make a good restaurant to dine "al fresco"."

"The food was good but the service was poor. The staff was not very attentive and probably one of the worst Brunch experiences we have had. Our table was not available for 30 miutes after our reservation although the restaurant called the day before to confirm. The staff seemed unprepared to deal with the larger Easter Brunch crowd. The food came out on time and was good, cant blame the kitchen. One of our orders was incomplete and it took a few minutes to flag someone down and call it to their attention and then eventually they brought out the missing items. If the service matched the kitchen it could be a great spot."

"I had the crabcakes egg benedict...the crabcakes were the thinnest cakes I have ever seen in my life! The eggs were warm and it only came with fruit. I had to "look" for the crabcakes! Danny told me that it was lump crab meat and it was filling and covered the English muffins. My daughter got the short rib plate with eggs...again, a very small portion arrived. When Danny, our server, asked me how our meal was, I told him I was not impressed nor satisfied. He just said oh, and shrugged it off and walked away. He did not ask me if he could offer me anything else or get the manager. We both walked out still hungry and had to go to another restaurant and ordered a meal to share as well as desserts. This was on Easter Sunday!!"

"We really enjoyed our meal at Midtown. In addition to very good food, the service was great. We were two ladies who wanted to split salad and entree; they split things in the kithcen so that we each received separate plates carefully arranged. Another sign of good service, when they took our appetizer plates away, they took the used flatware and brouht new flatware for our meal."

"We liked all the food but especially the tastings for dessert. The reason for Very Good on the food instead of outstanding, is that my wife's duck was not as hot as it should have been. The same rating on Service is because the time between courses was a bit slow, which is probably why the duck was not hot."

"Midtowne Grille is a lovely restaurant. Beautifully decorated and nice ambiance. The menu offers unique options and pairings. My friend ordered the NY Strip minus the chile rub. It had a delicious flavor and perfectly cooked as she requested. Have to admit, it was one of the best steaks I've tasted (shhhhh, don't tell Sullivan's). I ordered the salmon with risotto. The risotto & bok choy were delicious but unfortunately my salmon was a little overcooked, which seems to be a regular occurance when I've ordered salmon out. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience and highly recommend Midtowne Grille."

"I took my girlfriend here for Valentines night dinner, and it was an outstanding night. The food was absolutely fantastic, we both had the special filet, both were cooked perfectly. Even though the restaurant was packed, our service wasn't far from outstanding, the waiter did his best at making sure we had everything we needed, and apologized for any extended wait we had. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend Midtown Grille! I'll definitely be going back."

"Great food though a bit pricey. The service was very good and our waitress very personable. the noise level is really high and if you want a quiet evening this is not the place. One thing that was annoying was one of our group ordered scotch and water and he wanted to pour his own water, so on the bill they charged us for the "rocks. At least, build it in to the price of the drink and do not tell us as it seems very petty."
