"We had an early reservation on a Sunday evening, so the restaurant wasn't too crowded. Our server was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all menu items. I liked the fact that the tapas menu suggested the total number of dishes that a couple should order to feel satisfied. For dessert, we opted for the 3-desserts tasting. The Greek donuts were the best!"

"We tried Kyma for the first time during the Buckhead Retaurant week and we absolutely loved it. Everything was perfect . The assortment of appetizers ...our red snapper....the sampling of all three deserts. The service was impeccable and super attentive..We will return."

"This is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. I use to live in Greece and each time I eat there I feel like I back in Greece. The service is wonderful and the staff is always friendly. The food is always so fresh and healthy. The price is high but so worth it."

"The waiter was very knowledgible and very pleasant. We especially liked the choices as a twosome dinng and sharing. The did not serve an abundance , no take hoem, but it was suffieicent and was very light so no heavy feeling . It was very nice and comfortable."

"I don't mean to be rude, and maybe we just ordered wrong during Buckhead Restaurant Week, but both my wife and I felt like the food was one step above cruise food. The fish that we ordered was very bland and not really enough for two people to share as it was said to be. The server literally took our order and brought us our food, drinks and check and didn't check in with us aside from those moments. We've kind of resolved not to go back to Buckhead Life restaurants because we think the food quality is generally pretty average compared to the prices. For the price of the food, there are so many other places I'd rather go in ATL."

"There were 8 of us for restaurant week. The service was a miss...the server was confused about the menu to offer us, appetizers came out fast, then, the rest of the food took forever...as well as the checks. It was a 3.5 hour ordeal. Part of this may have been the commotion with servers and guests because Owen Wilson was sitting a table away from us.

This being said, the food was really good (love Greek food!)and I would come back, but not when a promotion (i.e. restaurant week) is going on. Plus, Buckhead Life usually hits it out of the park!"

"Kyma is a great restaurant. I celebrated my birthday there this weekend with my family. The atmosphere was nice, the food was wonderful, and it reminded me of being in Greece. The only thing missing was the Mediterranean. I liked the candlelight light fixtures that intermittently turned on as it got darker outside, it was very soothing. I cannot wait to go back."

"Sunday was Family Night at Kyma. It was an opportunity to try many of the small meze dishes at a fixed per dish price. Made all the better by having some live music on this occasion. Lighted well enough so I could actually see the food in front of me. The Server was great. She was there when she needed to be and did not hover like some waiters do. My experience with this restaurant is that a Server can make all the difference to the experience."

"We love the Sunday night special deal - all appetizer dishes are $7. You can load up the table with plates for not much money, and mix and match to suit your taste. We LOVE the wood-grilled octopus and the baby calamari. The wine list is a bit expensive, but there are some really fine Greek wines on it. We are sure to go there at least one Sunday every few months! Lastly, we have found the table service to be generally quite attentive and pleasant."

"We went there on a Saturday nite around 6:30 and there was plenty of seating - once we were seated our waiter was right on the spot, recommended wine which was good and reviewed the menu! Octupus was outstanding as promised and Dover Sole was perfect! We will definitely return!"

"We recently went to Kyma for a Valentine's dinner. They only offered a pre-fixe menu on Valentine's weekend, but the choices were great and the food was, as usual, excellent. Kyma is one of our favorites and the food is constently great. The wood-grilled octopus is tender, slightly smokey, and crazy good. I've had octopus many times at many places and Kyma does it best. The lamb pie was also a great appetizer. Just enough flaky phyllo with delicious shredded, seasoned lamb. We also ordered the whole fish for two. You can choose from several different types of fish and we stuck to the Dover Sole. Definitely one of the top fish dishes I have ever had - just enough lemon, succulent, flaky white fish, and crispy capers. Going back soon!"

"We went to Kyma for a post Valentine's Day dinner. My dish was rather decent, my boyfriend's dinner left much to be desired. His fish wasn't cooked and was not in the sauce that the menu stated. Our server was kind and provided good service, however it was very hard to understand his broken English at times. This was my second visit to Kyma and as a result of this experience I don't believe we will return."

"The special, set price, four course menu (app, salad, entree, dessert) set for the Valentine's Day weekend was my first experience at Kyma. It was a very good one, indeed. I dined with my husband and two friends; we all were very pleased with the meal. Our choice of three appetizers: scallop tartare, Greek 'bouillabaise', and lamb pie set the bar high for the remainder of our meal as all were delights to the eye and full of flavor; for me, though each seemed perfection, the scallop tartare was a standout. Of our two salads the medley of beets accented with a dollop of warm Kasseri and a scoop of beet sorbet, brilliantly fresh and bracingly beety. The entrees & desserts held their own and we left with a feeling that Kyma would see us again."

"Although our waiter was clearly first class, our hostess appeared to be having a bad day. She was visibly impatient as we were settling in and practically threw the menu at my spouse. Appetizers were tasty and well presented. The desserts were outstanding. We were disappointed with one of our entrees. We paid extra for lobster and got a half of a very small tail and what appeared to be meat from a claw. It was also served on a bed of bitter tasting foam. A real bummer. Unfortunately, we will be avoiding Kyma in the near future."

"This is my second time eating at the Greek resturant and I have never been let down. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The host/hostess seats you quickly and the waiter/waitress is quickly there to take a drink or appetizer order as well asmake menu recommendations. The Chef does a great job with the food. Every bite is very flavorful, light and DELICIOUS! If you don't know wines, go with the recommended pairing so that you don't mess up the taste of you meal/appetizer. The meals are pricey...I have never spent less that $125 for two people before tip. Remember to make a reservation if you are going on a Friday/Saturday night or you may have a long wait."

"Kyma is a perfect dining experience for a romantic dinner. A valet greets you at the front door, and upon entering you are met with a visually stunning ceiling replete with constellations and an array of fresh fish are displayed on ice in the back of the foyer. The food is authentically Greek -- from the tzatziki, to the calamari, to the braised lamb chops, everything we tried was exceptional. The server addressed us by name, which was an unexpectedly respectful touch. Do not leave without trying the loukoumades (Greek Donuts), as they are a savory end to the night!"

"Kyma, one of the Buckhead Life Group, is a bit stuck on itself, but it deserves to be. The food, particularly the unusual and impeccable seafood, is to die for. They have a large selection of Greek wines by the glass and the bottle, and we've not been disappointed. A bit pricey (a modest dinner for two with appetizers, entrees, a carafe of wine, desserts and coffee was about $150 before tip), but great for a special occasion."

"Most everything was authentic and delicious. I recommend to only order the seafood rather than any of the meet dishes, because it seems the seafood is their specialty and is very fresh. Although the lamb was quite nice. The octopus was the best I've ever had. The spanakopitas were excellent. I loved the key lima signature drink and the wines were delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family. Service was great and we has a small child with us. They were very accomidating and brought out bread out for my son, as well as checked our coats when we got in. Live music is a special treat and made me want to get up and dance. The buzuki and guitar players played and awsome selection."

"We made the reservation at the last minute on a Sat afternoon and were pleased to be able to get into this hotspot. We arrived at 5:45 and the dining room was empty. It took almost 10 minutes before our server ever appeared, leaving us feeling abandoned. Once she arrived the service was spotty and disjointed, she forgot a drink order entirely. Her knowledge of the menu seemed overly rehearsed and not genuine. The food, however, was great. The Dover Sole was exceptional and the wood-fired octopus was phenomenal. Go for the octopus if for nothing else. Greek wines complimented the meal nicely and desert was outstanding. Will return but request a different server."

Michelle Riesling is $46.00 on the list, that is an outrageous rip off. I bought it for my daughter, her birthday, but if not lowered, will keep me away from Buckhead Life restaurants. "We tried Kyma for the first time on Sunday, and we had a very nice experience. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was nice with live music, but the music was not overwhelming.

Service was very helpful in ordering: grilled octopus, spread sampler, calamari fillet, seafood stew, beef mousaka, spicy lamb pie, seared scallop (special, not on menu), and chicken skewer. This was MORE than enough food. Everything came out in a timely manner (one after another) and service was excellent. We also decided to order the dessert sampler (no fat jokes). Another excellent choice. All of this food, in addition to a pre meal capuccino and martini, put the bill just under $85.

"Like a trip to Greece without leaving Atlanta. The seafood (flown in fresh for the Med) was particularly enjoyable due to excellent preparation and presentation. The lamb was also terrific. The wine list was intriguing with all wines (?) being Greek in origin. The waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and wine list, and made excellent wine pairing suggestions. "Christmas Eve @ Kyma maybe a new tradition for us. Despite the cold rainy night, we entered into the warm ambiance of Kyma immediately transporing us to the blue and white of the Greek Isles. Totally spoiled by the mastery of the service provided. Always have a conversation with your server. They know their food and wine. Attempted to learn from previous experiences of over-ordering by going with the mezze meal - five "small plates" plus a trio of spreads with ample grilled pita. Tried the Grilled Calamari instead of the Grilled Octopus...very good but is not a substitute for the Octopus...and then there is the grilled pork ribs ... just none better. Passed up on dessert (which is a sacrifice) but even their coffee is pure pleasure."

"Kyma continues to be a favorite restaurant, and the actual dining experience was wonderful, as always. However, I do have to note that I tried to call the restaurant on the day of our reservation to pre-order (and pay for) a bottle of champagne in honor of the 60th birthday were were celebrating that evening. The woman who answered the telephone 1) cut me off before I could finish my request, 2) rudely told me that the managers were "too busy to talk," to me, and 3) hung up the phone on me. Needless to say, this exchange with one employee soured my feelings toward this restaurant's customer service. Though the waitstaff was absoultely lovely once we got there (as they always are,) I was very disappointed in the events leading up."

"We love Kyma. This was a family member's birthday celebration. We love the appetizers and the lamb chops and dover sole. Really, haven't tasted anything on the menu that we don't love. The service tonight was not as good as usual, but wasn't bad."

"We had a great evening. Food and service was exceptional. We were not familiar with Greek cuisine and wine. The waiter took time to explain how the food was cooked and made excellent suggestions. The management even gave us a taste of one item that we were not sure about. The special $29.00 3 course for two was a great way to experience the food. We will be back.

I love the BuckheadLife Cards. I have bought them for several years for myself and for my son and his wife. It has given us an opportunity to visit most all of the BuckheadLife restaurants and I tell all of my friends about it."
