"With this restaurant's close location to the Disneyland parks, I thought it might be a real find for dining choices! My first visit was not promising. I will give it one more try. The restaurant is in the lobby of the Hotel Menage, and offers free parking. The light and open feel was a plus. Service was inattentive, our orders were incorrect and instead of refilling water, the water glasses were taken away. The food was okay and reasonable. Offering a version of caprese salad that was almost inedible seems misguided. If dining out and prompting your waiter to WRITE THE ORDER DOWN, ASKING for beverage refills, and being patient in an empty restaurant 30 minutes before you can order doesn't bother you, then American Tavern might be for you."
