The Wine Market is a unique café, wine bar and wine shop all under one roof. We proudly offer over 30 wines by the glass and a 900 bottle selection in the wine shop. Most restaurants charge 300% or more for wine! At The Wine Market guests can enjoy amazing wines for only 9 dollars over the wine shop price! This is a great savings for any wine lover. We feature a beautiful courtyard patio in the warmer months and a sophisticated Soho Loft like dining area inside all year. "Great restaurant in a great and convenient location. The food was delightful, and Monday nights are "Neighborhood Nights" which was a great surprise to come upon! 20% off all entrees, $15 bottles of wine, and every night they also give 15% off any "to-go" bottles of wine you buy after dinner. Great deal. I had the special salad which was a spinach and arugula salad with a dressing I don't remember and crunchy salami and pistachios and spanish cheese. One of the most succulent salads I've ever had. For entree, duck breast over red cabbage with black truffle tater tots. I cleaned the plate.

Great service and casual yet elegant atmosphere. Great for a date."

"Nice place although out of the way. Food and service was very good. Winw selection was excellent. It located in the side of a warehouse and more of a casual atmosphere than a place for a special occation. Great place to take friends, have a great meal and great conversation. The connected wine store is nice and provides a discount to diners."

"Lunch was fine but not as interesting a menu as I've seen at dinner. Had difficulty using a Groupon certificate, which was being interpreted by management differently than presented on the certificate. I will stick to dinner, in the future. Luckily, I have had many good meals here and would not gauge the restaurant by this somewhat lackluster lunch experience."

"We had a great experience at The Wine Market. My husband had the filet mignon special and his dish was absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly. I had the pan-seared scallops and every thing was cooked to perfection. We had a great time. The wait staff is attentive and they understand what the diner needs at the right time. "My friend and I had a great time. The only disappointment was that the prix fixe menu online was not up to date. My friend wanted something else so she ordered from the regular menu, but I ordered the prix fixe sirloin and was astounded by the serving size. It is a great deal and it doesn't have to be restaurant week to take advantage of it! Also, the prawn appetizer was really creative - not something I would expect from a prix fixe menu."

"I have been to this restaurant several times in the past few years. The menu is not very variable. Several appetizers and entrees are on the menu all of the time. They were out of one newer appetizer (ragout) and it was only 7 pm on a not very busy weeknight. Furthermore, the menu is not very large. This past time the food was good but not excellent in any way. I had the dumplings and they were overcooked. They were hard. The duck breast was fine but not extraordinary in any way.

The most unusual aspect was that the mayor and police commissioner were holding a meeting at the restaurant. i was told that the mayor was a regular. I am not sure this is a good thing."

"The Wine Market just might be my favorite restaurant in Baltimore. Cool vibe, great food, interesting and AFFORDABLE wine list -- plus the opportunity to buy a bottle in the attached wine market and drink in restaurant for a nominal corkage fee. Not stuffy or snooty -- but very much an adult environment. Plus -- they were still serving a Restaurant Week menu which was an amazing value. And let's not forget the joy of free ample parking!"

"I love this place. The food just keeps getting better with every menu, and if you time your dinner right (day of the week) you will have a good selection of wine (bottles) for $15. "The food was wonderful!!! We had a group of 6 that went there for a friends birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We found the menu to be fitting for everyone including vegetarians. The only slight issue was our service... I would say mediocre at best, which is a shame given the great food and atmosphere."

"Unaware that on Valentine's Day the restaurant would ONLY be offering the prix fixe menu. That was not clear from the website. I thought it would be an option, not the only option. The "first course" was a joke. A cube of cantelope the size of a nickel with 3 crumbles of feta does not constitute a course - it should have been called an amuse bouche (if anything). Quality of the food not up to par for the price. I'll stick to going here for lunch and brunch only from now on."

"This place is hit or miss. Usually a hit, but this trip was not a good experience. 1st course - I thought the "smoked" mushroom soup was bland and lacked any discernible smoke notes. My date's salad was overdressed. 2nd course - Her grouper was way overcooked. I didn't actually know you could overcook fish this badly. My duck was OK, though the cut was not a full breast, but rather 3 separate ends of different breasts. Also - for some strange reason - it was served in a bowl. Not sure why - as anything that needs a steak knife should be on a plate. It was difficult to eat. I would have complained about the fish, but our server checked back with us prior to my date tasting her fish, and not again after. Wine was good. Dessert was fine."

"I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! The food exceeded my expectations. The Wine Market's Restaurant Week menu was outstanding and plentiful - they did not cut corners for the special. The items off of the regular menu were equally delcious, and you can order wine in 3 oz, 6 oz or bottle portions, and the prices on the wine are very reasonable. The wines are particularly good. After dining, go buy your favorite wine from the table at a 15% off discount in the wine shop up front."

"Overall, our experience was good. The food and wine were great, as well as the atmosphere. The cheeseplate with almonds and quince was excellent and our entrees of scallops and prime sirloin were as delicious as we expected them to be. The only complaint of the evening was our waitress. It was as if she didn't want to be at work, therefore making her very cold and quick to leave the table. Of course, this will not deter us from visiting again."

"I had dined at this restaurant a couple of times about a year ago. It didn't really win me over, so I never went back. On a whim, I went back during restaurant week, and it completely changed my mind. The food was exceptionally prepared, each course was consistently tasty, and the service was impeccable. "Upon entering the Wine Market, you get exactly what the name suggests - a wine market. Pass through the impressive collection of wines toward the back of the market, and you enter the dining room. "Went to The Wine Market for Restaurant Week and chose from the select menu for that occasion. For a starter had the ahi tuna tartare which was ok, not my cup of tea but I wanted to try something different. Presentation was beautiful and interesting. The food itself was fun to try but think I would've liked a spicier type sauce with it to bring out more of the tuna flavor. For my main course I had the braised short ribs which were juicy and delicious and hit the spot.

For dessert I got the bread pudding with banana fritters. The bread pudding was very good, the banana fritters were a little mushy and I think the pudding would have been great without the fritters. Overall the experience was great and I would dine there again."

"This was a great dining experience...I loved being able to buy wine from their retail wine shop and pay only $9 for the corking fee...further because our meal was so well paced we (a party of 4) ended up buying two bottles from the store and glasses of desert wines from the menu to cap off the evening...we had such a good time that we just lingered over desert (I hate going to a restaurant and being rushed)...the only negative: uncomfortable chairs"

"I thought the wine market was a great choice for restaurant week. We had a group of 4 girls for a girl's night out, but there were plenty of couples, groups, and even one table had a child(I'm not sure if they have a children's menu and he seemed really bored.) This would be a great place to take a date or for a romantic dinner to celebrate well, anything. The food was amazing, including the desert which I never would have gotten had it not been restaurant week. The staff was incredibly friendly. We were all late for our reservation due to traffic and they were very nice about it which isn't always the case in places like that. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. If you dine in, you get 15% off a wine purchase to go."

Three courses for $30.10 was a terrific bargain.

"Wine market was as good as I was hoping. This was my first visit and I went with a friend during Restaurant week. We both had the ahi tuna tartare app and it was a 7 out of 10. I had the lobster bowl for an entree and I would give it a 8.5 out of 10. The flourless chocolate cake was awesome!! 10 out of 10. Our server was very friendly and I would certainly go back. She seemed a little distracted I think because it was busier than usual on a Tuesday night."

"Food and service just okay, nothing like what I'd been led to expect from reviews. I had Eggs Benedict (this was at brunch) with some kind of a tomato/mayonaise sauce that was totally wrong for the dish, plus over-cooked eggs. I will not bother going back. The rest of my table liked the french fries that came with their meals, but you can get good fries anywhere."

"My dinner was wonderful, the second time. I ordered a chicken breast wrapped in applewood bacon, with carrots and white sweat potatoe. It came out cool. Whne i questioned if it was supposed to be that way, it was quickly wisp away and done correctly."

"We selected the 4 course meal with wine pairings. Not only were the meals exquisite, the wine selections were brilliant! I purposely chose this restaurant because I wanted to impress a person who knew a good bit about wine. I was very happy with the whole experience. The Wine Market was next to the Inner Harbor, so at Midnight we walked outside to enjoy the fireworks without the inconvenience of crowds and parking hassles. Meeting the chefs at the end of the night was especially heart-warming. I would return again....."

"My wife and I enjoyed the prix fixe 4-course New Year's Eve menu at The Wine Market. The choices were unique and adventurous. My wife opted for the wine pairings--a 4-5 oz glass per course--for an additional charge. She, however, was unable to keep up with the kitchen/waitstaff's pace. New glasses of wine were arriving in preparation for the next course before she could finish. The pace was hurried and we felt slightly rushed. Since the portions were on the small side, perhaps the size of the wine pairings should have been slightly less? Also, our amouse bouche and complimentary bread and mystery dipping oil were delivered to the table with absolutely no explanation as to what we would be enjoying. 15% off wine @ shop was nice."

"As a backdrop for a low-key, romantic evening, we could not ask better than the Wine Market. Tables were spaced for conversation with an airy industrial feeling and interesting art on the walls. We ordered the 3-course tasting menu with wine pairings--it was hard to pick from the array of appetizers and entrees. Every choice was great and the service made the night feel special. Until dessert: a lack-luster and dry breadpudding was a letdown after a meal I was ready to rave about. (Why did that wonderful waiter not warn us?!?)

Perusing the bountiful wine cellar with the help of friendly, well-informed staff on our way out did pick up the evening again. Especially with a 15% discount for discount for diners."

"The decor (renovated warehouse) and the pairing of good food and wine are the assets of this place. "A great dining experience. Three of us took advantage of the $33 prix fixe menu with well-paired wines. The beef stroganoff was better than mom's, and the shrimp dumplings very tasty.
