The redesign of the award-winning dining room of Chicago's Magnificent Mile offers a comfortable, more approachable atmosphere. "I travel to Chicago for business every few months. I use Noami as a go to spot for dinner to entertain clients and show appreciation for their consideration.
I have noticed a slight downward trend in both service and and attention to food detail. The waiting staff was not thoroughly knowledgeable of the menu, pronunciation of the items listed, and had forgotten appetizers that we ordered.
My halibut was over cooked and dry and unfortunately, my beet salad never made it's appearance.
Normally I would simply shrug this off and not return, however; this was at one point a beautiful gem that I looked forward to as a oasis from travel. I hope the attention to detail returns, as will I."

"Wonderful servers! Perfectly prepared food and delicious appetisers; everything I would expect from a Park Hyatt. Such a peaceful patio environment. I definitely recommend this place for brunch! If you can't score a window seat try for the patio."

"We had a group of six people from around the world in town for dinner so we picked NOMI as a special place to get together, and they did not disappoint. Service was extremely attentive throughout. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and helpful explaining the various offerings and preparations. Everyone was extremely pleased and impressed with their dinner selections and the whole dining experience."

"I have been to this restaurant many times. The food and service always impeccable. The varied menu never gets boring.if you get a table there the window, it is amazing. Even if you do not, the restaurant is beautiful and the people watching very interesting."

"I took my three daughters to dinner here while on a girls trip to Chicago. We had great food and fantastic service. I was a little nervous bringing my youngest daughter who is 9 but there was a kids menu and the staff was very accommodating to children."

"We don't live in Chicago, but do get there once in a while...and when we do, this place is a must! Since our last visit, they've ditched the white tablecloth look, but the food remains among the best anywhere. Good drinks, great food, wonderful service and a fantastic Water Tower view (with just a touch of lake visible above the buildings). Everything we tried was delicious, and the desserts were works of art in themselves. We're already looking forward to our next visit."

"My husband and I are Foodies. We are frequent travelers and while on a business trip heard about NoMi. Our expectations were high but our brunch fell short. Fortunately my husband's meal was good but my meal wasn't edible. I offered my feedback to the staff who removed my meal from the table and left me sipping my drink while my husband ate. After paying our bill (both meals) we hit the busy street looking for a suitable snack to hold me over until dinner.

"Great for a variety of dining occasions. Food was great and service even better. Evenly paced approach allowed us to sit and talk at our own pace without compromising the level of service we got. They knew how to make us feel important but allowed our conversation to flow freely. NoMI has a diverse, sophisticated menu that's also very approachable for most anyone. The menu has just enough to choose from without being intimidating. The dining room's is warm and inviting. All in all, a wonderful experience and I look forward to coming back again soon."

"Food is absolutely over the top. Some of the finest in Chicago. What comes out of the kitchen is a foodies' dream. Service, on the other hand, is typical of a hotel that is run by accountants and not geared for the service that the food deserved. Shame on Hyatt for not having enough service staff during the premiere week of foodies in Chi Town! Took three hours for three courses.Some food auctioned at the table. Cheese course forgotten at end of the meal. 5 star food....3 star service."

"We had brunch there and I ordered the Smoked Salmon Tartine, and my boyfriend ordered the Buttermilk Waffles and fried chicken. We also ordered the doughnuts(coconut and chocolate) and all of the food was absolutely delicious. We ate outside and it was an absolutely gorgeous day, too. Our server was very, very friendly and accommodated us very well. It was my first time here and it was great. I would definitely want to come back. A little on the expensive side, though... but worth it!"

"Our table offered an amazing view of sun dappled Lake Michigan, we ate superbly prepared exquisite cuisine from virtually every food group, the staff was attentive and gave impeccable service, the desserts were magnificent and the bouquet of stunning tulips were a lovely touch....that would describe the 2013 Mother's Day brunch at Nomi.
As we left, my mother and I were each presented with a lovely bouquet of tulips (we had each selected our color preference upon entering the dining room). What a gorgeous experience. Bravo to the staff at Nomi.
the bill was not for the feint of heart, however. But hey, it's your mother. and it's one day a year. Totally worth it!

"the food was only average. I was there for lunch and had the artichoke soup and Cuban sandwich. The soup was good, but the sandwich wasn't up to par with other Cuban's that I've had before probably because of the bread. The chocolate dessert tasted as though it were just out of the freezer. My companion did very much enjoy the salmon entree but the rhubarb dessert was just OK. Disappointing, but the view and service were very good."

"Excellent venue for conversation. Service is perfect, while unobtusive. Window tables give spectacular views, and tables are separated enough to keep discourse confidential. Eclectic menu with something for everyone - we had the sushi platter and the cuban sandwhich, both of which were very good."

"Certain dishes were over-priced for what you get. The foie gras and elk capaccio were excellent. The salad was a plate of leaves, nothing exciting. Definitely not worth $16. Entrees were normal/average tasting. Nothing to write home about."

"Dined here during a business trip and on the evening after our toughest day of work of the week. We were seated at the window overlooking the old Water Tower and views down Michigan Avenue and out to the lake. To top it off our food was amazing the wait staff were excellent. Will definitely return to NoMi."

"Special occasion place because of the view and elegant ambiance only. The food is really good but not its biggest forte. Comparable food found on similarly high priced restaurants. Besides the wine list and the menu is limited.
Went for our anniversary because my wife wanted something "upscale" and different to our repertoir. Otherwise not my cup of tea."

"They made a father daughter (8 year old) special dinner out spectacular. Without prompting, they gave us a behind the scenes view of the kitchen and allowedt daughter to help the pastry chef make our desert. We arrived early, 5:30, so getting the extra attention was easy to come by. Daughter has already decided that we are going to NoMI every year until she is old enough to be their chef, server, designer, etc..."

"We came here for my sister's 30th birthday and it was absolutely perfect. We were given our own private room with an amazing view. We loved the ambience and the private room added to the special-ness of the evening. Food was great and cocktails were fun and different."

"I cannot say enough great things about this place! When you make your reservation be sure and request to sit by the window. It has a gorgeous scenic view of Michigan Ave, and both times we have been they have honored this request. Service is fantastic and you can even request their sommelier to pair wines with your meal. Food is always changing and very unique and seasonal so its great for foodies. Very romantic and they let you dine at your leisure so you dont feel rushed. After dinner there is a great bar area, as well as outdoor terrace area for cocktails in the summer. The Wild Bolivian chocolate dessert is a MUST, we actually will go to NoMi after dinners elsewhere just to have this dessert."

"NoMI was an excellent fine dining restaurant. After a renovation, it is still trying to be an excellent fine dining restaurant while being a more "casual" eatery. The result is a mess. The restaurant is much too loud and hectic for the fine dining-trained waitstaff. The decor appears to be from a 1970s airport lounge. The renovation ruined an excellent restaurant; we will not be back."

"The view of Lake Michigan and Michigan Avenue from window seats at NoMI was an added bonus for lunch. We had the place to ourselves. (Hence the 1000 point table. It seems that the upstairs restaurants like this and Spiagga Cafe have trouble getting folks to come upstairs at lunch.)
We enjoyed our food. I was quite pleased with the NoMI Roll, which was freshly prepared and they adjusted the Wagu Burger to my Wife's special requests."
