**Offering Late Night dining and cocktails 7 days a week.**
Exposed wood beams and a fireplace make for a romantic setting at this lovely newcomer at the northern edge of the La Brea Restaurant Row. A quiet romantic spot next to the fireplace or an action table right on the avenue, Amalfi is where the "beautiful people" flock for fabulous Italian fare, fine wines, exotic drinks, friendly service and to have fun.
Always a great value and an exciting, memorable restaurant experience.
Amalfi Ristorante is Hollywood’s newest answer to "what should we do tonight?" Focusing on both food and entertainment, Amalfi offers exquisite traditional Italian cuisine from gourmet chef, Nano Crespo. After dinner, venture upstairs to "Room 5" for comedy or musical acts, or visit the Acme Theatre next door, a notorious launching pad for rising stars. Heralded by the Los Angeles Magazine as "the real deal," whatever you are looking for, you can find it at Amalfi.
"I had never been to amalfi before and didn't have high expectations - I've found that majority of italian restaurants in LA serve decent, but not excellent, pasta. I was pleasantly surprised - had the pasta bolognese - it was excellent. I'd put it in the top 5 I've had in LA.
Good service, the restaurant is a little noisy and it's hard to hear people from across the table - my only complaint. Reasonable prices, very good italian food in a great spot - especially if you are going to a show at ACME or Room 5 (right upstairs.)
Good spot!"

"Booked a table for dinner prior to a late night show upstairs in Room 5. The service and food were both great and I would go back any time I could, especially if there was live music upstairs after (pay on the door upstairs)."

"Wonderful wonderful wonderful!!!!!! We had such a great time at Amalfi, I can't believe we hadn't been there before. We were going to a show at the ACME Theater and they had a deal with Amalfi. The food is really great - the tuna tar tar is amazing and the mushroom risotto was, holy cow, unbelievable!!!! The service was great - maybe that had to do with our server Brooke, who was so attentive and nice. : ) We will be going back FOR SURE ACME show or not."

"The restaurant is directly adjacent to the Acme Comedy Theatre so if you're going to a show there, it's ideal. I had the Fennel and Arugala salad which was amazingly good. The chicken parmigiana was good, not great. My date had a salad which was excellent. The truffle fries were very very good."

"We celebrated a birthday after going to the theatre next door. The restaurant was lovely and accommodating. We brought in a cake, which they brought to the table at the end of the meal. Our special guest was bowled over. Great food, too, especially the Italian fare."

"The hostest was completely clueless. She seated us at a two person table when we had a reservation for four. She gave us regular menus when we already told her twice that we were there for restaurant week. The waiters seemed nonchalant about helping us out.
The only redeeming qualities was the very energetic busboy that served the food and the food itself."

"this used to be my favorite restaurant but after the experience I had on Valentines day I'm not sure i will be going back. I had a reservation and we were sat at a table, then the table next to us was sat; the server went and took their order first (even though they were sat after us), but then they received the appetizer, we kept waiting for ours, then they finished it and received their entree as we were still waiting to received our appetizer (we ordered the special a 4 course diner) they were nearly done with their entree and we had yet to receive anything at all. We decided to contact the manager at that point, he was very apologetic and said he was going to check on it. we waited a bit more and decided to leave (STILL HUNGRY)."

"Went for Valentines Day and chose the special menu which was no deal and came with no extras (like a glass of champagne.) I had the steak, which was less than tender and equatable to that you might find at a TGIFridays. My wife had the lobster ravioli which was much better but nothing to rave about. The shrimp appetizer was the best item we ate. I was under the impression there would be live music but it may have been upstairs and not in the main dining area of the restaurant. The dining area has a cold cafeteria feel to the setup and, while I wanted to like the place, there are way too many other places to eat in L.A., so I wouldn't find myself going back."

"The food was really good, i had the cheese board, a margherita pizza, and the cajun style seared tuna ...all were amazing!! best pizza i've had in a long time and my mouth waters thinking about that cajun tuna in that lime sauce and bean salad! The the ambiance was nice, and the staff was friendly and attentive. It's right next to the acme theater and they share a door near the bar area so people were walking to and from quite often which made it a little less romantic. But the bar looked pretty cool and was full of good looking hipsters ...I will definitely come back for some good food then hit the bar and catch a show at the theater."

"Surprisingly good food, wine and service. We chose Amalfi unrecommended because the recommended spots were all booked because of dine LA. After dinner we went upstairs and enjoyed an excellent singer. We will return."

"The food was decent. My wife and I are used to east coast Italian in Boston and New York. This wasn't bad but I would call it boutique Italian. My chicken parm was just ok, my wife got the Mac and cheese which was certainly better by comparison. Food was fine, the service was what turned me off from this place. It took twenty minutes to get our wine that we ordered. They actually came out with our entrees. No apology, whatever we didn't mind too much, just annoying for the price that you pay. The waitress never checked back after serving the food. Only when I was about done. Ambiance was nice. Fireplace, comfy cushioned seating but it didn't impress us enough for us to come back. Not when there are so many restaurants to choose from in LA."
