"While apparently part of a several store franchise network, this was our first experience with "Simply Fondue." Past experience with a larger multi-store fondue network had usualy left us feeling stuffed, plump, and poor. This place seemed a lot classier in many ways including because they didn't seem fixated on pushing just their mega-everything package. We had cheese fondue to start (the portion struck us initially as small but as we moved on to the next thing, it ended up seeming just fine). The salads were good -- not afterthoughts. We opted for the Sangria fondue which was neither calorie-rich nor sugary. Also, perhaps due to their Livermore wine country location, wine list had a great mix of local wines and was reasonably priced."

"So many things to recommend it. Cooking at your own table - what fun! And every course was absolutely delicious. We had the best waiter who even lit our chocolate so we could roast our marshmallows before dipping. We had such a terrific time! From start to finish it was a fantastic experience. They even let us linger with coffee after 2-1/2 hrs of eating. It has become my favorite special place."

"Simply Fondue was the perfect spot for my family to gather and celebrate my Daughters 21st birthday. Our Server was fantastic, she knew her food and drink menu very well, and she was able to make some great recommendations. The food was fantastic and the drinks were yummy! We all loved toasting marshmallows over our flaming chocolate pots. Simply Fondue helped to make this a very special evening for my daughter and our family."

"We had a new waitress.
The cheese fondue was not hot, we had to scape the edges and bottom of the pot to eat warm cheese.
We ordered our food cooked in traditional fondue style. The oil was not nearly hot enough so the first things we cooked just got greasy and saturated with oil. (We put mushrooms with batter, the batter got soggy and fell off in the oil.) We did mention this to our waitress and she turned up the oil.
We also noticed that we never received any of the dipping sauces that should have accompanied our meal.
We've been here before and have always been happy with the experience. It is all about the experience. If this had been my first time there I would not go back."

"Dinner there was an event. Over 2 hours when you go through all the courses - SO YUMMY. Salad served first (your choice) and then cheese fondue (with veg and bread to dip), followed by meats and veg's you prepare yourself, finishing off with chocolate fondue (all kinds of goodies to dip in the chocolate). With 4 of us at the table we got to choose 2 different cheese fondues, 2 different meat preps and 2 different chocolate fondues. First time there - will not be my last."

"We waited longer for our table than we did actually at our table even though we had a reservation for a specific time. The manager did not seem too concerned that we were seated 45 Minutes after our reservation time. Food is horribly overpriced. I will probably NEVER come back to this restaurant. It's a gimmick restaurant where the price of the meal does not match its value."

"We had the cheese fondue and beef tenderloin for dinner. The Sharp Cheddar cheese fondue was yummy and was served with bread and veggies for dipping. The beef was high quality and came with a variety of marinades and dipping sauces, along with veggies. We chose the grill method, where you cook the meat on an oiled grill pan at the table. Loved the extensive martini list. Service was excellent. A little pricey, but worth it."

"We waited for 4 years to go to this restrurant , with children it never seemed to work out for us to have an evening by ourselves. To finally get a babysitter set up . We were soooo disappointed. The food portions were so small . The quilty of the food was horrible . This is not what we expected at all .
At the end of the evening 2 hours later i was still hungry . We received a bill for $105.00. This was for two people ... Nothing fancy we had a salad , cheese foundue with bread , then 6 very small pieces of meat to dipp in different sauces.

"I love this place. The only draw back is the tight booth seats. I took a friend for her birthday. It was her first time dining at Simply Fondue and she loved it. The seafood was fresh and the wine selection was good.
When I asked if I could get access to their WiFi; I was curtly told that not even the wait staff have access. So II took that as: customers are not really that important."

"I think the price was really high compared to the quality of food. They should offer a fully prepared meal and then maybe have the option for the appetizers and the desert fondue style. I would not take a large group of people with me the next time because of the price. The drinks on the other hand were at least not watered down."

"The food was good, but there were small portions for a BIG price. It was not worth the money, even if the food tasted good.They brought two of many of the veggies for the fondue when there were three people, and we paid per person. The smell of the alcohol in the fondue was overwhelming. Because we were given so little cheese we ordered a full pot after it and did not finish, so that was a waste. When they list the chocolate fondue as having marshmallows, rice crispy treats, brownies, etc. What they don't tell you is they give you ONE of each and barely enough chocolate to cover them plus much of what they do give you gets burnt to the bowl when they set fire to it."

"Normally, I would have nothing but good things to say about Simply Fondue. I have been several time and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Tonight was abysmal. Do not go during their last hour if you want to eat anything more than chocolate. They start closing up the kitchen. They told us that they were only serving the chocolate and we decided to stay. We should have left. Our server Dori made us feel like an afterthought. We waited for what seemed like forever before she even let us know she would be "right with us". We had to ask a different server to being us more fruit. When we did, he turned down the heat on the chocolate. But it was too late. Out chocolate was ready burned tasting."

"Always love going to this place but our waiter wasn't so on top of things and almost charged us more than what was owed because we paid some in cash and rest in credit card. We corrected it then he came back and was claiming we still owed but he was wrong. His math was incorrect. Ughhhh...great fondue night gets spoiled by a not so good waiter."

"Unfortunately our serve did not have the oil turned up high enough so our meats took twice as long as stated which made it difficult to time each one. When he finally realized this he twice added more oil which then slowed down the cooking again and made what ever we had in the pot at the time not as tasty. Too bad this happen as the ret of the meal was very nice."

"This was our third time dining at Simply Fondue and we always eat too much because we order the Fondue Feast (salad, cheese fondue, main course fondue and chocolate). This time, right off the bat we ordered our salads “to go”, and we still left very full. I guess if we came more often we would choose either the cheese or chocolate, not both, and the main course. I highly recommend this place for a leisurely lunch or dinner, or even just for a lovely chocolate dessert! If you want to impress a chocolate lover, bring them to Simply Fondue!"

"Everything was great, From the time I walked in to the time my friend and I walked out. Our server was outstanding, went above and beyond for my friend and I. Hostess was GREAT made sure I had a drink in my hands as I waited for my friend to arrive. We where having are 5th anniversary of a kidney he gave me. So every year I find a really nice place to take him out. I feel like this will be next years place too. Thank you to all staff."

"The overall food and experience was great, the noise level was pretty high and there where a lot of drinking people that where bilederent. Understandably, there is a bar, but we where separate from the bar area. Our waitress could have been better, spent little time helping us, took her 3 course to get a drink from the bar. Overall the restaurant is great, our server could of been better. We would come back."

"My wife and I celebrated her new job at Simply Fondue, and we sincerely enjoyed ourselves. Our waitress Katie was excellent and really made us feel at home. The food was not only great, but fun and amusing all at the same time. Thank you for the wonderful celebratory experience!"

"To sum up our dining experience with one word, AMAZING! This was our second time dining here. This time for our 8th wedding anniversary.. Christina our server was awesome, sweet, helpful, & fast. The food was so good and the Martinis are killer. I has a Chocolate Carmel and a Mint Chocolate and my hubby had a Long Island. They were all perfect. Love the Campfire Chocolate Fondue. We will be back!"

"We had an incorrect beverage list, and then they didn't have some of the beers we were interested in. We ended up with our 4th choice beer.
The salads were wonderful. The fondue was OK.

"My wife and I found the food cooked to perfection! Of course because it's a fondue restaurant. Actually the food and service were really good. Not a cheap meal, but we could see a lot of prep work is needed for this type of dining. We'll go again certainly."
