In Italy the sweet life flows like wine through the daily living of the people, down boulevards and generations, passed shops and squares and from fountains that grant you wishes. Little by little our wishes are coming true, to share the sweet life with friends who appreciate the charm and the elegance of Italy. The ancient Romans said life is short, art is long; we believe La Dolce Vita is an art. This is our motto at La Dolce Vita!
Good food and great wine equals great company. From the time you arrive the ambience will take you away, you will feel as if you are in Trattoria in Italy. From our family to yours bon appetite! Saluti!
"The italian food is excellent. Also, the small selection of filet migons are outstanding.La Dolce Vita has quite a regular following and provides a nice environment."

"This was our second trip to La Dolce Vita. I read some of the reviews regarding change in ownership and decline in food, etc. but decided to go back. The experience was every bit as good as I remember and I am glad I ignored the reviews. I was delighted to hear that the Filet/Blue Cheese Sauce special was available - that is a great meal. We arrived a little early and the wait to be seated was a little longer than expected - it was almost as if they weren't expecting us even though the restaurant called to confirm that afternoon. Our waiter Brock was very well-informed and delightful. The bread pudding is a must for dessert. All-in-all a very pleasant evening and we already planning our next trip."

"We did not know that they have changed ownership. The new name is LDV. A very small crowd was there on a usually packed Saturday night. Not comparable to the old ownership. Won't be back."

"We went here for my birthday and the experience wasn't very "happy". We waited 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order and another 15 to actually receive them. One person in our party actually ordered a glass of wine and never received it. If a restaurant is busy, I usually cut the server some slack on that but there were literally maybe 5 other tables of people in the entire restaurant (and at least 3-4 servers). Absolutely no excuse for that. We ordered calamari and crab cakes for appetizers. The crab cakes were $14 and there were 2 VERY small crab cakes on the plate. Totally not worth it. We also ordered pizza as our meal and had to cut it ourselves with a butter knife and no plates to eat it on. Bottom line, we won't be back."

"Great everything for our 10 Anniversary. They had a special table ready for us and made us feel welcome from the time we arrived until we walked out the door. They gave us our privacy but were right there when we needed something. Bravo to hostess, waiter and management!"

"The food and service were very good. The menu has a mix of Italian dishes and other more "American" dishes. It does not offer small plates for children or older persons, but my 95 year old aunt was able to order her entree from the appetizer menu. She loved the crab cakes. My wife and I each ordered veal dishes. Both dishes tasted very good and offered ample servings. We finished up with lemon hello cake. it is an exceptional cake that I highly recommend."

We just happened to go a few days after Valentines day and the seating was still arranged in the "maximal occupancy" setting -- which made for a lot of accidental bumps from the staff throughout the night. Otherwise was a great first experience for us."

"First time to dine there, but have been urged by friends for years to go. Very glad we did. Food was very good, service was outstanding. Maybe a bit loud, but not awful. Seating is kind of squirrely, but location isn't ideal. One thing that still sticks out was our greeting. We were about 10 minutes late for our reservation and I was slightly chastised by the hostess. A bit surprised at that. Otherwise, we'll no doubt go back."

"This use to be one of our favorite restaurants. They changed the menu about 6 months ago and got rid of some of our favorites causing regulars to have to order "the specials". We had a reservation the night we were there and seated very quickly but waited 25 minutes for our drinks and received our drinks and appetizers after 2 other couples who did not have reservations. We had to ask our waiter about the specials and to bring our bread and this never happened before. Our entrees were excellent, the other food we had was just average and actually the waiter took off our salads because we were not happy. We were so disappointed with our experience and after 8 years of celebrating special occasions there and probably will not go back."

"Smaller than I expected but just means you MUST make reservations. We did and got right in and there were people lined up waiting for table. The food is great and our server was excellent. I highly recommend."

"Excellent food and service! Loved the Sunday sauce, the meatball pizza, garlic stix, and the calamari. Warm southern welcome and great advice as we passed through town. Everything was freshly made from fresh ingredients. Glad we picked it!"

"Food is excellent, service is excellent. The layout of the place doesn't help the acoustics and the noise level is loud. Got the worst table in the place, but after requesting a better one, they made it right."
