"Zach was our waiter. (I believe that was his name) He was fantastic. The kicker was we made a reservation for our son's graduation dinner. The table next to us had done the same but hadn't told you guys it was a graduation so when they say our son's table piece they commented about it and our waiter overheard them and brought them one immediately! So cool! Also my son loved a card with his name on it!Thank you so much for making a great day better!"

"If you've never done fondue, then this should be a treat. But beware, you have to work for your meal. Provided with fondue forks and a healthy appetite, you can navigate through cheese fondue, entrée fondue (meats and seafood) or dessert fondue. All are good, but may be a lot of food for those with smaller appetites. We went on a holiday, so there was a limited menu of four courses. During other times, you can select which courses you want, so (for example) you could get just cheese fondue and dessert fondue, or some other combination. The atmosphere is pretty private due to the layout of the tables, and the servers we've had are all very well trained and friendly. It can be a little pricey, so we reserve this venue for special occasions."

"The atmosphere was great. The room we were in was quiet which was awesome considering it is really hard to find a quiet restaurant in town. My dad is hard of hearing so it get frustrating when music is blaring etc. the food was good and fun to make. The service was pretty bad though. Our waiter couldnt keep our meals straight. we had 6 of us... write down our order! They had no beer on tap and their drinks were expensive."

"It was our 3 year anniversary and we were both super excited having never been there. The day was very fun and over all a great time but not something we could do all the time. The cheese was really good and the chocolate but dinner was not my favorite. I love shrimp and that was the only thing I liked. The streak and chicken were not my favorite and my boyfriend agreed. We both agreed we probably wouldn't go back for dinner maybe just appetizer's and dessert. I recommend it as special occasion place or date night but it took us 2 and half hours so keep that in mind. Given The dinner I would still recommend it the experience was really neat and something everyone should try at least once. I also think it would be a great girl's day place."

"I asked for a table in a quiet section with 2-burners. Instead they sat us in a very noisy open seating section with 1-burner. I was expecting the ambiance it used to have when it was located in Old Town. We were celebrating our 15th year wedding anniversary, so I was very disappointed! I would only recommend going if you are with a loud group of friends or have several children because that it what we had to endure all evening!"

"It was a busy night and the staff seemed a bit on the fluttered side. The booths were a bit more compact that I would have expected, but overall, it provided an intimate setting - which is what I was looking for. Melted cheese and melting chocolate, amazing. I just wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger. You might think I sound like a chubby guy, but I am just a foodie with a large appetite! Great for special dates, but not a place you want to go if you are feeling like a hearty meal. :)"

"My husband hadn't yet been to a fondue restaurant. I had been to my first Melting pot about 15 years ago in Seattle. I always remember this fun experience. We delighted ourselves in three courses: cheese, steak and chocolate! Out waiter and the other staff members were very friendly, helping us enjoy it more. Of course, the meal took about 2 hours, which I don't mind except it's difficult to sit for that long. We are looking forward to bring friends with us next time. I would also like to try the bar, where it's a little more open and it has lots of windows. It would be fun just to go for wine and dessert."

"First time at the Melting-Pot's location uptown. We were seated in a nice private table, very quiet, great for conversation. Service was very good although given the type of meal (fondue) don't expect to be out in under a couple of hours. More entrée choices then I remember and all we ordered were very good. Also the menu choices provided more flexibility then before. Overall a very enjoyable dinner."

"It was quite an experience. Beautiful restaurant with quality interior.The food is of average to below average quality. The excitement is not purely for the fondue experience. I paid 136.00 for two adults and one child.The waiter helped himself to 18% gratuity which was 19.86. I paid with 140.00 expecting 5.00 change but the waiter also helped himself to that. In total he assumed that his service was worth 25.00 in tip on top of a bill that was over 110.00 for two adults and a 7yr old child. We enjoyed the atmosphere but will not be back."

"It was a let down. Frankly if I am going to be paying $50 a plate, I want somewhere with a little higher standard dress code. There were people walking around in flip flops and jeans, and frankly that ruins the atmosphere. On top of that the service was truly awful. It took my waiter over twenty minutes to get a party member a glass of water, and he shoved the check off on us like we were eating a Chili's."

"In pastyears we always take the "Grands" to the melting pot when they come to town. We always order 2 entire meals and we have MORE than enough for two adults and two children. This year they have changed prices and the quanity of food that you get.
We did order extra cheese for all to nibble on as that was everyone favorite...we were charged not once but twice for extra cheese...around $8.00 twice as well as they charged us another $8.00 Twice AGAIN....For bringing added desert. We did order extra cheese for all to nibble on as that was everyone favorite...we were charged not once but twice for extra cheese...around $8.00 twice as well as they charged us another $8.00 Twice AGAIN....For bringing added desert. "Confusing menu. Waiter cleared sauces before we were finished. Ambiance is dark, brooding but booths are more coffee-shop like. Waitress kept saying 'sorry' for some reason, not that she was doing anything noticeably wrong. And I wouldn't take my kids (4 and 8) there again until older."

"Our start was a bit rough with the manager being a bit snappy but eventually he came to our table, visited and bought our son a drink for his birthday. The food was perfect, the server made some great suggestions and no one felt rushed. We spent at least three hours there. The Melting Pot is a great place for a celebration dinner!"

"I had the pleasure of eating here for my anniversary. Since my husband was out of town I took my adult daughter and a friend. The food was delicious and there was a wide variety of options. The food was only outshined by the social aspect. Since you are waiting a couple of minutes for your food to cook, it leaves plenty of time to visit with friends. I enjoyed the social opportunities between the yummy morsels. We have already made plans to go back...just us girls. If you are not patient enough to enjoy the relaxed flow of the meal this may not be for you. I also would not reccomend it for young children as there is a hot surface in the middle of the table."

"First time experience for us. Went there for our 21st anniversary. Romantic setting on lovers lane. Only marked down due to not having an option to skip the first course. My wife and I don't eat too much cheese. If we did the four course would be perfect."

"We have always loved the Melting Pot. When it opened in Albuquerque we went four times in 3 months. This was our first time to try the new location. The ambiance is all but gone! There was a lack of decor and sterile surroundings. We go there to linger over a wonderful meal combined with the entertainment of fondue. No lingering this time. Our waitress was fine but the other servers and table busers were hurried and made us feel rushed. Plates were not even finished and they were there to take them away. At $50 per person you would think we would be treated to the impeccable service that we were expecting. Very disappointing for a special occasion. Truly, made us feel like we were at a diner. Maybe it was bought out by Denny's?"
