"These guys knocked it out of the park last night. Stephen, John and Victor all did an amazing job of welcoming us and rolling out the red carpet. The food was on point. My veal melanese was done perfectly and everyone else enjoyed their steaks. The wines by the glass were above par and a nice pour. I come fairly often to this place. Last night was exceptional. Thanks guys!"

"Friends and I were in the city to go to the theatre but chose to have dinner first. Rosebud Prime is a perfect place for delicious food and wine. We had outstanding service, fabulous food and a great atmosphere. There was live music that added so much to the evening. It was not at all intrusive to conversation but certainly a joy to experience. I have been to Rosebud Prime several times and will continue to bring my friends to share the experience and recommend it as well."

"Rosebud Prime is an excellent restaurant. My Brother and I recently dined there while traveling on business. The food was very good (oysters, bone-in filet, mashers) and the service at the bar was better than great. I will certainly return on my next trip."

"Anytime I can get to Rosebud Prime, I go. From the hostess stand through the entire service, the team has great customer service (kudos to management). The food is always top notch and I don't hesitate bringing VIPs or guests here. It's always a positive experience. Keep up the good work, and I'll keep coming back!"

"We were celebrating my wife's birthday which I indicated on our reservation on Open Table. Upon arival the maitre'd wished my wife happy birthday as did our server. Scallops were to die for and my wife's Filet Mignon Oscar style was excellent. Service was great and the maitre'd followed up to make sure that all was to our liking. Five minutes after leaving the restaurant I received a call on my cell. It was the maitre'd at the Rosebud apologizing that our waiter failed to serve my wife a birthday dessert on the house. Then he said in lieu of the dessert they would rerun my card and take off the two glasses of wine...$24. Now that's classy! We'll be back."

"Comfortable, welcoming steakhouse dining experience. The service was excellent. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food very much. We had a 6pm reservation so the small bar was rather quiet. Maybe later in the evening after the theater gets out the bar would be more lively. No complaints though. Our server, Dio, was terrific."

"We chose this Rosebud Prime because of its convenient location next to the Bank of America Theater in Chicago. Our steaks were prepared exactly as ordered. I enjoyed the chopped wedge salad and the cheese covered mashed potatoes. Our waiter asked if we were attending the theater and then paced our meal so that we could enjoy our food and arrive at our seats 15 minutes before the play started. This was a great dining experience and evening at the theater."

"The service and food were excellent. Roasted cauliflower was delicious. My petit filet mignon was the best I've ever eaten, especially with the Bordelaise sauce I was able to get. We were there for a special occasion, and the manager and service person both offered their greetings. We were given two delicious deserts courtesy of the house."

"reserved for a party of 7, was placed at a table for 5 with my seazt directly in a aisle. They did move us but it was a pain. Dinner was served hot with steaks done correctly, but crab cake appetizers were cold. French fries ordered came a good 8-10 minutes after the steaks. They did nuke the crab cakes,but not the same. To be fair they took the crab cakes off the bill, but did not adjust the fries that we had for dessert."

"Server was fantastic!! Loved the live music & round booths. Typically go there for lunch when in the city but had a gift card so used it for dinner. Only issue was that the bottle of wine we ordered (Jordan Cab '07) was a misprint so we ended up with a different year ('10). Was disappointed but it was still very good but feel that we were way overcharged."

"Good food, very noise, hard to have a business discussion. They checked my coat for me after I already went upstairs. However, after they found my reservation and checked two of us in, the front table ensured me that they will let my other party know when arrive. When my other friend came, they could not find my reservation for him, and we had to wait for 15 minutes before we found one and another.

The coffee came without cream or spoons."

"An unexpectedly wonderful experience here! Went for steak but had seafood instead. The setting is one of a formal nightclub/restaurant--waiters in tuxedos, etc. The service is truly impeccable with attentive, friendly, informative servers. The andouille soup was outstanding--tasty with just the right amount of spice. I had the sea bass--sautéed, then oven-baked. It was delectable--the best I have ever had--moist, flaky, melt-in-your mouth good. The only downside to this restaurant is the placement of several tables bunched close together along a settee (there are other tables which have more privacy, however). Highly recommend."

"Great food, great service. I had the NY Strip with the peppercorn seasoning. It was so good, my wife (who doesn't usually eat steak) wished she had ordered it.

The service was top notch. We had reservations, so there was no waiting. The waitress was very attentive and helpful, answering our questions and even giving some recommendations."

"We ate at Rosebud early on a Saturday evening after a matinee at the theater. We were very early for our reservation, but we were seated immediately, which we appreciated. The prices are pretty steep, and our entrees (strip steak and lamb chops) were excellent. For the price, however, I would have expected the side dishes to be of much higher quality. The potatoes with cheese and bacon were like something you would get at TGI Fridays, and the creamed spinach was also very disappointing. We don't get into the city for dinner often, and I would not return to Rosebud because it wasn't anything special."

"This restaurant is ideal for the theater goer because of location, and they offer a flat rate valet and you can keep your car there during the show. Unfortunately, many individuals know this and the service was poor. We didn't receive our wine until after our soup and salad came. My husband received the wrong salad, my steak was not cooked to my specifications, our dessert took a long time, and we were initially given the wrong bill. The patrons to either side of us had similar issues. It was very busy this evening, and it appeared the restaurant wasn't prepared."

"I was in charge of arranging dinner at a "greatChicago steakhouse". The group involved are Ina networking group from all over the ountry: Texas, Boston, L A and Kansas City--all great food hubs. Everyone at the table ordered some form of steak and RAVED!! Being the only vegetarian in the group I had the sea bass which was outstanding. I know we will return and if ink all the others wereveryimpressed."

"The food at Rosebud Prime is fantastic. We came here before a show and tried the oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer, pan-seared jumbo sea scallops and Lake Superior whitefish as entrees with grilled asparagus on the side. Everything was delicious. The only complaints we had were the timing of the appetizer (it came out at least 20 min. after we ordered), having to ask for the bread basket when it became clear the appetizer was delayed, and a mix-up with one entree (we actually ordered the tilapia stuffed with brie but received the whitefish). Management addressed the order mix-up issue appropriately. Just be careful visiting 1 - 1.5 hours before a nearby show because the staff is very much in a rush and mistakes happen!"

"Great experience, we took my Mom here as part of a gift right after a show of Book of Mormon and she loved it. It was extremely convenient to the theater, literally just around the corner, so it was great to be able to walk over right after the show. Food was very good, everyone enjoyed their picks, and the service was fantastic too. Beautiful dining room as well."

"We have been to 6 of the Rosebud resturants and the service at this one was a big dissappointment. When our food was brought out it took 5 minutes for our server to bring it to the table. When I requested out check I had to wait 20 minutes and ask twice. The food was excellent."

"Rosebud prime presents a very attractive venue, but the tables are squeezed together making private conversation impossible. Service was friendly and attentive. Jalapeno corn chowder soup was good not great. Sea bass was good, while the crab cake was a little bland. Dessert was large enough for two. Lunch without liquor $135 including tip. A little pricey"

"We work on the same street so we go to Rosebud Prime a lot for lunch….but Dinner was even better. I chose it because we had tickets to Book of Mormon around the corner. We both had the scallops, best I have ever had, ironically from a steak house to boot. Champagne was fantastic, Service was fantastic. Overall = fantastic

Every time I bring someone to Rosebud Prime, they comment it has a very "NEW YORK" style."
