"This was our first time at Pazzo's and it was our anniversary. Our table was ready when we got there and when the waitress learned it was a special occasion she treated us to glasses of sparkling wine. The food was top notch, the service excellent and the overall experience perfect. This is definitely a repeat."

"My spouse and I went to Pazzo for dinner on Valentine's Day before an evening concert. The server recommended the smoked Marlin appetizer and we are very happy she made that recommendation. It was a great compliment to the shrimp risotto. The level of smokiness was just right. The menu said something about Sudachi and I was unfamiliar with this juice. I did some checking and have added it to my own kitchen. We were are a tight schedule so we used the valet parking which made for a worry free evening. The staff was aware that we were are a tight timeframe and helped us to keep on schedule. Excellent service without feeling rushed. It was a wonderful start to a very romantic evening."

"We chose Pazzo as part of the 3 course for $29 dining month special in June. The food was very good. Great Caesar salad to start. My Risotto was very good. We didn't need course 3--dessert, but since it came with the meal . . . really tasty and a treat as we never have room for dessert (and didn't this time either). We had not been to Pazzo for years.
My husband had the Ciopino (sp?) and he was a little disappointed that it only had shrimp and calamari for the fish. Our local neighborhood restaurant, Porcelli's has really good Ciopino but don't serve it all the time."

"Excellent food and attentive service make this our go to place when we are on a tight schedule. When we are going to a concert or other event downtown Portland we often make Pazzo our dinner stop;. With the valet parking from the hotel we can drop off the car and make our dinner reservation with little fuss. We can always expect tasty and high quality food at reasonable prices."

"We have dinner at Pazzo...about every other year. The food is always very good to excellent, they have a fine selection of wines by the glass, and although it can be busy, it is rarely hectic and unnervingly loud. At our most recent dinner they featured a prix fixe menu with excellent options at a very reasonable price."

"Excellent dining month menu with 3 choices for each of the 3 courses. Pasta is excellent as were the grilled shrimp. With dessert, it was almost too much to eat. Server was knowledgeable about the wine list and with a little conversation steered us to 2 bottles that met our table's needs. All of us said we don't know why we don't got to Pazzo's more often. Its a good solid dining experience."

"Had a great meal here. We were celebrating my retirement & our 513th Monthaversary. We were greeted with an anniversary card & complimentary glass of pro secco to start things off. Service was excellent. We started with the "special" appetizer of the night -- a fried mozzarella that was delicious. We each had the Natalino (Caesar) salad that was possibly the best I've ever had. My wife had the Risotto that changes nightly. It was a shrimp the evening we were there & it was fantastic. I had the lamp & it was excellent as well. To top things off, we had Tiramisu for dessert & it was incredible as well. Everything about this evening was awesome. Would highly recommend Pazzo Ristorante to anyone."

"Pazzo is my go-to restaurant every time I visit Portland. Creative, fresh Italian food with excellent service and a good wine selection. This last visit, I had gnocchi with a rich guinea hen sauce - a fantastic change from the typical red sauce you get everywhere else. The grilled asparagus on the side was crisp, smoky perfection and the lamb minestrone starter was a perfect beginning on a cold rainy Portland evening. My server was also fantastic - very friendly and super knowledgeable. I LOVE this restaurant!"

"We were a group of 8, so sampled across the menu. Each of us raved about our food. I found the caesar salad particularly excellent-fresh & flavorful. As was the gnocchi. Others had the pork, steak, yellow tail,--all delicious. The service was excellent. The wine list could use a little building up with a larger selection of local wines. Regardless, I will return often."

"When I go out to eat at an expensive restaurant, I expect each bite to be exquisite, a sublime adventure, and Pazzo easily meets this test. I had a Napolina salad (a caeser salad) that was one of the two best versions I've had. The rice in the mushroom risotta was perfectly done so it had an ever so slight crunch. The lamb was tender and juicy. The Italian wine we ordered was to die for. The Tiaramasu was one of the best I've ever had. In fact, most fancy Portland restaurants can't hold a candle to the excellence of Pazzo."

"We've been to Pazzo's several times and always enjoyed our evening there. This time was a little below par. We were seated near the chef's prep area and the activity and noise from that area was distracting. We had made reservations earlier in the weekj, had arrived on time, and noticed several empty tables in the restaurant. We were dismayed to be seated near the kitchen, waiter prep area, and the clatter of a work station. Two out of three of our suppers were delicious. The risotto and ravioli were extraordinary, but the gnocchi was mushy and wet. We'd have returned it, but the waitress had disappeared for the first ten minutes of our meal. I'm sure we'll return eventually, but Pazzo's lost its magic for us that evening."

"I loved this place the first time I dined there. I was a little disappointed the second time because it wasn't new and it felt like I should have been there for an occasion. Don't get me wrong - the place is amazing, all of the staff is STELLAR and SUPERBLY ATTENTIVE to guests, the food is DELICIOUS (though a little pricey, compared to other upscale restaurants) and the wine list is AMAZING (and cool in a leather-bound journal).
I guess I just felt that it was lacking the amazing touch the second time - this is definitely a "special occasion" or "once in awhile" sort of place.
Expect to spend at least $100."

"We have been here before with a small group on a very busy Saturday night and were NOT at all disappointed. So, we decided to return again, just the two of us, for a romantic, delicious, birthday dinner. Again, we were NOT disappointed! Our reservations were early -- 5 pm -- which made for a quiet environment, and perhaps because of the hour, the wait staff was more than happy to allow us to choose a table in the dining room, then walk over to the bar to enjoy a drink during Happy Hour. On both sides of the restaurant the wait staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Thanks for a great experience yet again!"

"I was referred to Pazzo by a friend and boy am I glad I took her up on that recommendation. Our server was lovely; pleasant, conversational, knowledgeable and helpful in navigating the menu/wine list. She was attentive but not overly so and everything was carried out in a timely manner. The food was different but delicious. I appreciated that they made their own pastas and used fresh ingredients, the food definitely reflected that effort. I'll definitely be returning here!"

"The food was excellent and interesting. My only problem was that I was unable to hold as much as I wanted to eat. I'm sorry I live so far away. I would certainly go there repeatedly if I had the option."

"Having lived in Northern Italy for three years I was looking forward to a great Italian dinner. First time to Pazzo's, the pasta dishes were good, the main course selections were limitied and their quality and portions were so so. The deserts were good as well as the wines we had with the meal. Dinner for three was $145 plus a tip which seemed high given the meal but it is what it is. Will we go again? Maybe, but there are alot of other places to try to hunt great food and fair prices out."

"We love this restaurant! It was within two blocks of our hotel, they had a bowl of water waiting for our dog. We sat outside and the weather was very cooperative. Even the group two tables away from us [TALKING SUPER LOUDLY} couldn't sway our wonderful dining experience. We split a caesar salad, which consisted of whole romaine hearts enrobed in a super garlicky dressing with shaved parmesan. Then we moved onto Butternut squash ravioli and chitarra spaghetti with anchovy. SO good. We enjoyed a bottle of local chardonnay which went with both our dishes. Our server was awesome, super friendly and attentive. I highly recommend dining here. We will be going back"

"This is my favorite restaurant. I love, love, love the gnocchi and the homemade bread. The service is out of this world excellent! On this particular occasion, it was my birthday, but this restaurant is great for any occasion or no occasion at all. They make the best comfort food around!"

"Consistently the best restaurant ribeye in town (we usually grill it at home or with friends so get very picky when we spend "the big bucks" at a restaurant). Pazzo's doesn't disappoint, in fact it impresses! Also, the ravioli with butternut squash, truffle butter and hazelnuts was to die for."
