"Food was great. Recommend the ahi tostada and chicken pot pie. Portabella fries also good. Impressed by the value of the chicken quesadillas, though the actual taste was just average. Not terribly impressed by the seared ahi (overcooked, small pieces) and the cheeseburger sliders (tasty, but not great value).
The bar area can definitely get loud w/ the music and diners' conversation. All tables are high w/ 2-4 seats spaced fairly closely. There is also an outdoor seating area which could accommodate larger groups.
Our server was terrific, when he was available. He was very attentive and had foresight to bring items when needed. But it was just him for a whole bar + a back room, so it's a wonder he was able to serve us all."

"Three of us made a 85 mile road trip for food and brief shopping. As always the staff was friendly and very fast. The brunch was with the drive! The Daily Grill is a must for us on our trips to Austin!"

"We made reservations, but the Happy Hour menu is only available on the Patio and in the Bar. I usually don't like bars because of the noise and smell. But the Patio offered welcome quiet and a nice view. The sashimi is excellent. Oh, and we highly recommend the Ginger Smash."

"Had a great time! The evening's special mahi mahi was a good choice and it was delightful accompanied by the Caesar salad. We saved room for dessert and were not disappointed by both the birthday brownie with vanilla bean ice cream and the strawberry shortcake. ("I'll never eat again!) LOL Our server, Nick was wonderful, as were all who were so attentive to us this evening which was topped off by a show at The Dell Theater at The Long Center. A great way to spend a Saturday, to be sure!!!"

"As a "preferred diner" at the Daily Grill, I'll say that I always enjoy outings there..... Its location in The Domain makes it a great place for "people watching", the atmosphere in the restaurant is friendly, and the food is very good. Brunches there for special occasions (Mother's Day, Valentines Day, etc). are well worth the trip, and the monthly specials are usually entertaining and worth trying (in April, the lobster pot pie was awesome)....."

"At the beginning the Service was ok. We had someone from out of town. The waiter sold us on the burger though mine was cooked well done after I had discussed with the waiter to please ensure it was medium rare. I had to send it back, it took forever and then it was rare, but I did not say anything. The service got worse, our water was not filled, had to ask a couple of times, the tea was not filled the same. I had asked for a beer and asked that they hold it till the burger came back and I was 1/2 way done and no beer. Had to speak to the manager and he made sure I got the beer, then wanted to offer us dessert on the house. Though we had said that, the waiter then brought the dessert menu. It was 2 pm not crowded."

"The daily Grill is my go-to play for North Austin business meals. The menu is predictable and the food is consistently good. This particular visit had service that was just average.
One notable "negative" was the food portions, particularly the salads. I feel like the size has gotten smaller since my last visit. For example the Caesar with chicken was a side salad portion but charged at full menu price. Hard to justify the spend for a small chicken breast and romaine lettuce. I looked around and saw similar instances.
I will continue to eat here"

"My review is very mixed. Most of the food tasted as if there was no seasoning on them at all. The meatloaf and loaded mac and cheese were good. There were several misteps on my tables order (steak and burger was over cooked), but the manager did not charge us for those two meals. Their martini's and service from the wait staff and manager was very good. Don't expect to be blown away by any of the food. The reverse HH was cool as drinks were reasonably priced. I will go back, but for the HH only."
