"My boyfriend and I went for my birthday. I was excited because I had heard really great things, but it was not what we expected. The food was sub-par, service was slow and I was sick as a dog when I got home. The only good thing was the margarita. Everything we are was dry and overcooked."

"I love going to Mitchell's Fish Market! The service is always excellent and the fish and seafood offerings are extensive. Most recently, I was there for Mother's Day. Each Mom was greeted with a long-stemmed red rose, and at the conclusion of our meal, we were presented with a $15 gift certificate. Pretty classy!"

"I brought my my mom for mother's day and it was both of our first time at mitchell's. We really enjoyed it, the food was great, we didn't wait long to be served and was just an all around great experience. We were seated at a booth next to the window and it was the best seat in the restaurant I think. My mom love seafood and I think I made a great choice because she really enjoyed herself. I would recommend Mitchell's to anyone especially seafood lovers. ENJOYED!"

"The food was excellent. I had the Shang Hai Seafood Sampler and would recommend it to anyone. The fish melted in my mouth and the scallops and shrimp that came with it were excellent. Our waitress (Carla) was friendly and willing to make recommendations. Our food came quickly, without feeling rushed. The atmosphere was nice. There was enough background noise to have a conversation without feeling like the next table could hear us, but it was not so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation."

"The Shrimp Cocktail was a delight, with the largest Shrimp I've have ever seen, but very succulent and tender and complete with three sauces, all tasty and interesting. The Parmesan Chicken came in a large portion that looked and tasted very good indeed. Our waiter, Jarrid, made our stop a real pleasure, meeting our every need. All the staff here is top notch, but he is a special gem.

"A terrific place for any variety of fish - it's super-fresh and well prepared. No one at our table had meat, but what's on the menu looks good. Our waitress was very considerate of us, maybe even a bit too much. As we chatted away, she avoided interrupting us, even to take our order. She was funny, laughing with us when we asked about the difference between the "Mountain Trout" and "Rainbow Trout"; it's the same fish. The carrot cake is HUGE. One couple ordered a piece to split, and each half (served on separate plates) was way bigger than either one wanted to eat after an ample meal. The key lime pie was perfectly sized, and both were delicious. We've eaten there many times and always had a booth, which we really like."

"Although it was not the waitress' fault, food service was exceptionally slow. We had a 7:30PM reservation, which was honored, but we were not done with our meal until 10:00PM and it wasn't due to any procrastination on our part. We did not need a round of drinks to start as we had carried ours from the bar, but we did start with an appetizer. After that, the salads took forever to be delivered and the meals were delivered quite a long time after the salads. It appears that the restaurant was very short on their wait staff and it showed. Too bad as it was a Saturday evening and eating the main course at around 9PM was well beyond what should have been delivered."

"The wive and I enjoy dining at Mitchell's. We've not had a complaint with the menu and have received excellent service during each visit. Mitchell's is a seafood house but also does very well on the balance of their menu. If you enjoy deserts, save some room -- the sweets are tasty and the portions generous."

"While this is not a restaurant I'd bring my young children, the food was outstanding as was the service. Our server was the absolute best. Our dinners were worth every penny. It was very crowded and noisy but that did not deter us from enjoying our meal."

"I like their food, which is fairly healthful (content and preparation), artistic, aesthetically appealing, skillfully prepared, delicious. The room was pretty noisy. We were in a booth, which sheltered us somewhat. I didn't request a booth but was glad to have it. Next time I will request it. I also liked having the Easter Sunday option of prix-fixe three-course meal. True, the entree was ham, which is too salty for me in principle, but the sides of smashed redskin potatoes and green beans were perfect, the house salad was generous and interesting, and I was delighted to have creme brulee as dessert. Portion sizes were just right: not too much, but no one could call them skimpy. I took most of the ham home."

"Although in general the food is very good, we were disappointed in the Halibut and Lobster entrees served on Easter. The Halibut, compared with the same fish at another local restaurtant, the portion was small and not as flavorful. Also, the special entree of a Lobster tail and Lobster & Clam cake was very disappointing because the tail meat was miniscule; the cake was quite good. Others had Tilapia which was quite good. The BBQ bacon-wrapped shrimp with rice appetizer is to die for. Notwithstanding this critique,I have dined at Mitchell's numerous times and the fish was always been quite good,don't know why it did not measure up this time."

"We have made the Columbus Fish Market a mainstay of our dining experience, and Cleveland's Mitchell's Fish Market (a sister property) exceeded the original in every way. First off, the prices were better than the Columbus location. I felt like the fish/crab were fresher, better prepared, and served with more appeal. The service was very professional, and it was a great start to a Easter weekend with my family. I won't hesitate to return. I'm a bit jealous that our Columbus Fish Market doesn't hold up to the copy in Cleveland."
