"Note that an 18% tip is automatically included in the bill, regardless of group size. This tends to remove the incentive otherwise good waiters would have to provide better, even decent, service. Our waiter served the wrong soup, despite a clear order and a subsequent reminder, then promptly disappeared for ten minutes. I had to flag down another waiter to correct the error."

"We had a 1 pm reservation,and although the lunch menu states 11:30am-2pm, we felt a bit rushed since the restaurant cleared out by 1:30.This was a special birthday lunch for my friend and she noted that the waiter came and removed her empty plate before I was finished with my meal.This was at 1:50 and at that point we decided to forgo any thought of having a celebratory dessert and have it elsewhere.It just did not feel like a leisurely lunch.I was both surprised and disappointed since it was a special occasion, and the fact that it's located in a hotel after all! The place literally cleared out,help and all,that when it was time to get our parking validated,there was no one around to provide that service.Maybe a better choice for dinner."

"My husband and I came in for valentines day. In the past few years we haven't had the best experience with other sim/ilar resturaunts. We were so pleased witrh the whole dinner! The food was great and pleasantly so were the portions! Our waiter was patient and professional. We wernt sqished into any other guests and our table was quiet and romantic. We even had great conversation with the young manager/host. Thanks for a great night!"

"our waitress was very good and attentive..food was good but nothing exciting..nice presentation but again nothing wow..we picked it bcause of the location to Yankee dental weelend..probably would not return a little pricey but not over the top"

"Menu was interesting but some what limited. I had the fillet that was grossly over priced at $48. It was good but came with no sides. Each side at the restaurant was a la carte. I expect this from an upscale steak house, but not a hotel restaurant. Even an upscale steak house doesn't charge $48 for a naked fillet."

"Ate here because we were staying at the Seaport for a convention. The staff at Aura were very courteous and accommodating. The food was good, but not outstanding. The waiter suggested a certain sauce for the grilled swordfish and I found it did not enhance the fish, only distracted from the taste, so it was not great. Would not rush back, but would try it again."

"The last time I dined at this restaurant was the evening following the wine-expo. Because of the expo and the anticipated rush following, the menu was limited to a chef's tasting with wine paring and only a few a la carte selections. The was good to excellent, but not outstanding.

However, I've dined at this establishment once before. the regular menu features more choices and more exciting, perhaps unique offerings. The food was truly outstanding during this visit.

I'm a fan of Chef Rachel Klein. I think she's got talent and a culinary perspective similar to mine. Overall, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Boston. It's high-end dining a reasonable prices.

Great date spot. Take a stroll on the seaport pier after dinner."

"This is a "must do" restaurant. The food and service are fabulous. The wine list is remarkable and the most fairly priced list I have seen in Boston. Don't miss the creative and wonderful dishes the chef and kitchen turn out here. I heard they also offer a special dining environment for families and young kids but I have not gone with young kids."
