"six of us met for dinner on a Friday night -- place was really crowded and very noisy -- we couldn't hear much of our conversation without shouting -- so while the food was good -- I wouldn't go back on the weekend -- maybe during the week It is quieter"

"The open seating process worked great and the restaurant called to confirm the reservation. The server was good, but he had to dodge tables to get back to us.
There were four in our party. Two loved the food; two found it overpriced for a tastless steak. (Steak samples were offered to those with different food choices and they agree that the steaks were tastless.) Some of the plates were cold.
We tried it. It was expensive for the overall experience. The tables were crammed in to accomodate more people and it was LOUD!"

"Food and service was awesome. Having never been here I made the mistake of chossing it to be a romantic opportunity with my wife includiong having flowers delivered. There is nothing romantic about the place. It is extremely loud. A raised voice is needed to have normal conversation. Will go back however knowing what to expect. food and service was worth it."

"Great food, fast service but not quite as attentive as we are accustomed to. We had a reservation and it was ready when we arrived and in a good location. The waiter quickly arrived at the table to take our order. Two menu were available-- the food menu and a wine list. While they had a very nice bar, there was not a listing of available bar drinks.
Once the initial round of drinks was provided, the waiter never returned with an offer to order additional drinks. He seemed to be most interested in taking a food order. Once the food order was delivered, the waiter returned just once over the next hour or so to check on us."

"We went here for our first time to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. The manager (owner?) was so friendly and accommodating, and the staff was as well. The all-you-can-eat salad (so cheap!) was EXCELLENT, as well as the baked potato, prime rib and filet mignon with bearnaise, crab meat & asparagus (that was the special). We were extremely impressed with how fast our food came out - especially for a Saturday night. We will definitely be back."

"This was our first time at Mac's. The entire experience was absolutely fantastic. The hostess was very nice. Our server was fabulous- very knowledgeable about the food served in the restaurant and was very professional and personable. The food was delicious from the appetizer to dessert. I will definitely be back! This is our new favorite place. My husband said he will also be using this as a new destination for his business dinners."

"Food and server service was extraordinary. There was a problem with our appetizer, kitchen did not prepare it in a timely manner, so it came out late, and we were still enjoying it when our entrees came. Server very apologetic, and he was overall a very attentive one."

"This place was my favorite for many years. We always had the best meals and their house salad had the best vinaigrette dressing & tons of blue cheese. It's the 3rd time we've been there where the salad was below par. The dressing is now tasteless and watered down. You can't even find the blue cheese anymore. Our main course has also been disappointing the last few visits. Unfortunately 3 times and we are out. We will miss going to what was our neighborhood hang out for a great meal, but at these prices it's just not worth it anymore."

"We have been going to Mac's since they opened. It is a great neighborhood restaurant and bar. They have a great happy hour, and the food is always good. The owner tries to be around to speak to the customers, I am sure he splits his time between Arlington and Colleyville. Nice guy, nice restaurant, wonderful salad and good brunch!"

"We ordered the fish and chips. The hush puppies were left uneaten (save one bite) by both my wife and I as were most of the french fried potatoes which were served cold. Most of these were left on our plates. Neither of us cared for the slaw. My wife left hers on her plate uneaten.
Although we ate the fish we both considered it below the quality of Long John Silvers, and I am not trying to make a funny statement about the fish. The only two items that we felt were worthwhile were the bread and the water --- seriously.

"This was a Valentine's Day event. The reservations were actually ready a bit early. The flowers delivered to the table were a big hit. The service outsatnding. Our waiter even provided extra silverware on our deserts to make shating easy. A memorable dinner."
