"We went to Aurora for a Valentine's Day Dinner - they had their 5 Course $65 Pre-Fixe Menu which was great. Oyster w/ American Caviar, choice of 2 salads (I picked Yellow Beets with Blood orange, toasted hazelnuts & water crest salad)...then a lemon basil risotto, then choice of either fish or skirt steak (I picked the steak which was incredible, garlic & truffle herb topping with truffle potato gratin)...then a choice of 2 desserts (I picked passion fruit parfait), which was accompanied by a nice Sparkling Red Wine for dessert. The dinner was amazing. However the service was a little slow, we had to ask 2-3 times to just get bread. But besides that everything else was wonderful. Still one of my favorite places to eat. Great nook!"

"Our 3 1/2 hour dinner was divine. We had all of the daily specials which were described to perfection by our gracious server. The food was so delectable that we decided to put total faith in our server to choose appropriate wines to pair with each dish. Once again, he delivered with humble elegance. The space is rustic and homey, yet subtle and sophisticated. The whole staff is polite and perfectly accommodating. Thank you, Aurora. We look forward to next time."

"I arrived for my reservation about fifteen minutes early, as it was my first time travelling to Williamsburg and I thought it would be best to give myself some extra time to get lost! I was SO glad that I did. I was welcomed warmly, sat the bar, and had a fantastic conversation with the bar staff, who were amazingly talkative, friendly, and exceptionally good at making drinks!
When it was time to move to my table, the flawless service continued, ensuring a wonderful dinner date. The food selection was broad yet well composed; every dish we ordered was by far the best rendition that I had ever tasted. Pasta was perfect. Sauces were sublime. PERFECTION. In short: I will be back again and again!"

"This is our favorite Italian restaurant in New York. Whenever we have out-of-town visitors, this is where we take them. The pasta is outstanding. The main dishes are very good but do not change much -- a fat-rich roast pork dish is something to wait for in the colder seasons. Their nightly specials, whether appetizers or main dishes, are usually just that: special, inventive, surprising.
Aurora offers only Italian wines and concentrates on producers from all regions that respect the indigenous Italian varietals. For the best experience ask Gianluca to suggest a wine pairing for your meal. Be adventurous and try something new. You'll enjoy it and get a great education on the wines.
Desserts are their only area that needs improvement."
