"An unexpected find. Went with a friend who lives in Soho but hadn't been. We each really liked our pasta dish. Very flavorful. Very good wine. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. We were there on the early side so it wasn't too noisy. Also we didn't feel rushed although when we left people were waiting.
We also liked the "rustic" decor. All in all a win win"

"I went to Aurora on a Wed night with 7:30 res for 2. The dining area was perhaps 1/4 full. I was catching up with a friend, so there was roughly 30 mins of talking before we even looked at the menu; we were not rushed, or approached too often. I rarely eat out, as I cook better food at home than most restaurants (IMO), but I would highly recommend the cuisine here. The bread is amazing, mixed green salad was just right with the amount of dressing, shaved cheese, and balsamic. My pappardelle with lamb ragu was portioned just right, and the lamb was akin to a slow roasted pulled-pork in texture- delicately falling apart, tender and flavorful. Dining area filled by 8p, but still able to converse without raising voices. A gem. Go there now."

"Delicious French Toast...comparable to Jane which is my favorite ever. Service was very good, timely with the water refills. Great deal with $17 for an entree and cocktail...I'd definitely go back."

"I am Italian and VERY picky when it comes to Italian restaurants. The food and ambiance were so wonderful the first time that I ended up booking a client lunch here the following week. The chicken salad was amazing, as was the fresh pasta, not to mention the wine. I have found a go to Italian Restaurant that is rustic and not over the top, LOVE IT!!!"

"Found Aurora on Open Table when looking for a place that took reservations and could accommodate a group of six. Checked out the menu online - looked good. The food exceeded our expectations! Loved the flash fried calamari. My leek, asparagus & lobster risotto was perfection. Best dish though was my boyfriends wild mushroom ravioli with truffle oil!"

"OMG, this little SoHo gem is so off the radar. The food is outsanding. All housemade pasta's with expertly prepared sauces come to the table via well trained servers right off the boat from Italy. Ours recommended some great wines by the glass and described each dish so well that we could not decide what to order. Who needs to get into Babbo when this place is wide open and has the same level of food and service at lower prices ?"

"A really great restaurant. Friendly staff. Excellent service. And the food, outstanding. We ordered the Divers Scallops which were as sweet as sugar and served with various vegetables and even a slice of bacon. For dessert, we shared the fruit tart which was also very very good. Will definitely return although a bit out of our way."

"This restaurant is great. The drinks are remarkable--the bartender asks you what sort of drinks you prefer and creates a perfect concoction. Bartender uses fresh syrups and ingredients. Must try a drink at this place. Happy hour special is the best with half off drinks and complimentary antipasto plate."

"We had a wonderful experience at Aurora Soho. The food was excellent. Definitely have the Prosciutto e Burrata as your Antipasti corse. The le Capesante (diver scallops) were also amazing as a main course.

Besides the food, our service was top notch. Our waiter Guillermo was extremely friendly and perfectly attentive. Maybe one of the best waiters I've ever had!

We will definitely go back!"
