Spanish Pavillion
The first Spanish restaurant in New Jersey opened in 1963 by our grandparents, Antonio & Estrella Martinez. The idea was simple: Give the finest traditional Spanish food at a reasonable price, with warm, friendly & efficient service. You may have entered as a customer, but you left as a friend.
As the second & third generations continue the family tradition, we want to maintain the same ideas which were taught to us by our grandparents. We not only welcome you as customers to our restaurant, we welcome you as friends into our home.
Sit back, relax and enjoy some friendly service while your mouth-watering meals are being prepared by some of the same chefs who have been with our family for years.

"My husband and I, took our parents out to dinner here. We had a great time, food is excellent and so are the drinks.
Some dishes meant for an individual can be shared between two or more. The piaella for 2 - can seriously feed 4 people.
However, its great if you want left overs or want to try a few dishes.
Be warned, you should make reservations in advance if you make it out for Mother's Day, it was packed!"

"Second time here and once again had a delicious meal! Noted for fish specialities and love the Shrimp cooked in wine sauce and the grouper! This time tried the tapas and highly recommend the scallops! The date appetizer was to die for!!!!! A great spot to go to if attending an event at Prudential!"

"The saffron rice and chicken dish was outstanding. The short rib was good and nice quantity and tasty but might have had a little too much fat hidden under the sauce/gravy.
Had an appetizer of potato/cheese croquettes and they were good and a nice serving size.
Drive to NJPAC was 3 or 4 minutes and so convenient to the Spanish Pavillion."

"If you like Spanish food, this is the place. The paella for two was the best we ever had. Lots of fish and not alot of rice like other restaurants. The rice is not your typical yellow rice, more like risotto but very moist. Great place! Great Waiters!

"We eat here often, and love the place. Our entrees were delicious when they finally arrived. It took at least a half hour after we finished our appetizer for us to be able to catch the eye of a waiter to find out what happened to our next course -- that's why the 3 star rating for service. Ordinarily, the service is tops! Other than that delay, everything was terrific."

"At arrival we werent greeted, only starred We basically sat ourselves. The scene was not a diverse crowd we just got starred at (we are Latino). The bar had rude customers making loud & obscene remarks one which was towards me! And last but not least The food was awful & tasteless they put massive garlic on everything we ordered & still gave it no taste everything tasted like oil. I will never return to this Resturant."

"We have been dining at the Spanish Pavillion for a number of years and especially since NJPAC opened since we plan to eat at the Spanish Pavillion prior to a concert at the Performing Arts Center. The new menu and the quality of the food has recently gotten even better."

"I have dined at this fine restaurant during the course of the last 30 years. I have never been disappointed and this recent experience was no exception. Fine food, fine folks, large portions and a great atmosphere. In the past 3 weeks, I have brought out-of-towners from California, Colorado and Illinois to The Spanish Pavillion. All were equally impressed. No disappointments here!"
