"And the sirloin was ok. Didn't have much flavor for a Prime cut and not sure it was seasoned at all.
The loaded mashed potatoes were excellent but the seared green beans were not seared enough. They were hard and bitter.
The bread is delicious. The brambleberry cake was ok. The simi merlot was quite good for a less expensive glass.
There are other restaurants that serve a better meal. No draft beer...and had to ask for a glass for the bottled beer. Not impressed...and I wanted to be."

"After attending a meeting hosted here, I made a reservation for my wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The staff quickly seated us, and the service was attentive and friendly the whole night. A glass never emptied and a want was never unmet.
But the best part of the evening was the incredible food. We both ordered steaks and found them to be prepared exactly to our request. The waiter told us that the chef had several different methods of preparation based on the rubs and crusts requested by the customer and we now want to try them all. The steaks melted in our mouths and we left not only satiated but also blissful from the experience.
My wife wants to celebrate every anniversary at Red Prime."

"Steaks were descent at best. A really good steak does not require a crust nor a sauce. The dining experience itself was also mediocre. The decor was great, but the waiter seemed more interested in telling us that he would be right back rather than waiting on us. Overall I would not go back on my dime."

"The steaks were as good as it gets. Five stars for that. Prices were stratospheric. We expected that but still felt like it was perhaps out of hand, especially for the wine. I had a glass of house Chardonnay that was $11 and maybe 4 ounces at best. The sides were good and each side is easily capable of feeding two people. A serious menu lapse was the lack of anything resembling a salad. Creme brulee was extra good. We will return but will not order wine and skip the shared app menu. The steaks were so exceptional that other issues can be overlooked."

"Not a stellar night for service at Red Prime. We arrived early, checked in with the hostess and went to the bar for a drink. The hostess failed to properly check us in and they called me on my cell phone 15 minutes after our reservation asking where we were, I had my phone on silent so didn't hear the call. We finally checked back in almost 30 minutes after reservation and were seated. We waited about 10 minutes and had to flag a waiter down. By this time the restaurant wasn't very crowded and the rest of our service was slow at best plus they brought an incorrect side dish and never replaced it.
Disappointing experience, probably won't go back."

"My wife and I make it a point to always visit the Red Prime whenever we are in the city. I travel extensibly for work and can say that this is one of my top 5 restaurants in the world. Notable things - the steak crusts and the wine list. The atmosphere is very modern and in line with a lot of my European favorites.

"Excellent atmosphere, the red neon lights really give the place a nice ambiance. The wall to ceiling wine rack behind the bar,the first thing you see when you enter the restaurant, is most impressive. We had an excellent server, Kevin, whose knowledge of the menu and flavor combinations were simply marvelous. Kevin enhanced our dining experience immensely. He was as much responsible for the excellent experience as the chef was. The french onion soup is astounding. It was an instant flavor bomb as soon as it hit the palate. Be warned though, it comes only as a small cup, which makes sharing very hard to do. The steaks were perfect as was the whole meal. Be sure to try the filet with coffee crust and black truffle butter."

"My wife and I both chose the prix-fixe menu. The first course was ok (salad is hard to ruin), but our main course choice, a 7 oz. filet, was cold and not cooked as ordered, medium. The desserts were stale. Actually everything had the feeling of being prepared far in advance. Perhaps that's the problem with ordering prix-fixe; we should have been concerned when it was all served so quickly! The by the glass wine selection was mediocre. The worse part was the bread served before the meal. It was barely baked and cold. It tasted like quick serve from a plastic bag!!"

"We went there on March 2nd with my wife for a belated Valentine due to we were out of town the last 2 weekends for family functions. It was worth the wait!!! First start with the sides, there was enough to feed two people. We both order steaks that were cook the way we wanted with no flaws. It a must try for a date night or just a great place to get a steak. Just expect to spend about $100.00 for 2 people, but well worth it. Also the wait staff was great as they were there to make sure you had everything you needed but not too much to let you enjoy the evening."

"My boyfriend and I went there for his biryhday and it was absolutely amazing. Our server was Kevin and he was incredibly helpful and nice. For an appetizer we had the jumbo crab cakes and they were delicious. As for the entrées I ordered the salmon and was very impressed. My boyfriend ordered the 40 day aged ribeye and said it was one of the top 2 best steaks he has ever had. Since it was his birthday our waiter offered us a dessert on the house so we ordered the red velvet cupcakes and even those were some of the best I have ever had.
Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely go back. Be prepared to spend over $100 on the meal, but it is worth every penny."
