"The food was fantastic and the wait staff was very prompt and knowledgeable. The head chef and owner is also very visible and available to give recommendations on the menu and specials for the evening. You can tell that everyone who works there is very proud of the restaurant and works very hard to ensure that each diner has a great experience and enjoys their meal."

"The service was TERRIBLE! We invited some folks from out of town for a business meeting. We had two servers that didn't know that they were both waiting on us. They forgot ordering certain things nad then they brought out the wrong things. it was horrible."

"I had a group of nine together to celebrate a graduation, and from the moment we walked in, the staff took such great care of us; congratulating me, getting it table ready over 30 mins earlier than our reservation, and even taking the cake my family had made and offering to put it in the refrigerator for us while we ate. The chef/manager stopped by the table several times, and the food was delicious. Try the brussel sprouts! Thanks for such a great space to celebrate!"

"We didn't realize they had a Brunch menu. Really wanted an early Sunday dinner to celebrate an accomplishment. Service was fair at best....slow, mistakes, forgotten items, etc. We ordered gelato for dessert and it was forgotten. But they still served a melted pool of cream. Very unappealing. Lots of items were removed from our bill. Plus, 3 of my party of six didn't feel very good afterwards. I'd been to Via Vite for dinner and it was one of my favorite downtown restaurants. I'm always talking it up to my friends. Now, it has slipped down the ladder, for sure. At one point a waiter or manager was near the main wait station with the back of his shirt soaking wet. From what, I don't know. Incredibly unappetizing. Disappointed!"

"Some of the best Italian food in the city, the service was alright not great though. The best part of the restaurant was the location. It is right on fountain square, I could hear music playing on my way in to the restaurant and when I left I took pictures next to the fountain. Good time."

"Slow traffic caused us to get there 10 minutes after our Open Table reservation, but we were still seated immediately. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu as well as the wine list. The wine pairings she suggested were perfect fits to our entrees, the handmade gnocchi seemed to simply melt on the tongue, and my partner's lasagna was an excellent balance between cheese, meat and perfectly cooked pasta.
I was especially impressed that Chef Pietoso himself stopped by our table to check on our service and food. He visited every table in our area, and was eager to learn how we had chosen his restaurant and if there was anything else that could make our experience better. Not that night - everything was perfect."

"The reception was not warm. Wow, a French attitude from an Italian restaurant, not something you expect. My neice had a creamy potato leek and my wife had a cauliflower soup, while I had the Chiopini soup. All Good. Our entrees were eggplant parm and bolognese My Neice and wife loved their eggplant, I thought the bolognaise was a little flat. If you're looking for the traditional bolognaise, this isn't the place to order it. For dessert we all shatred a triumvirate of Gelato (3 different flavors).The wine list was mid-range in it's prices.We had a traditional Italian Primativo with our meal for $35. Very nice.

"We had a terrific experience at Via Vite. The drinks we ordered while waiting for our table were very well made. Our server was very personable and knowledgable. The chef came to our table as we were perusing the menu and offered suggestions. What a nice experience. "I went in for lunch with a group of coworkers and everything was great. I ordered the cioppino, which was out of this world. "We had a terrific dinner experience on a busy Saturday night. Chef Pietoso personally visited the tables to explain the menu, answer questions, and check on our experience after dinner. The personal touch was greatly appreciated and added to the experience. Food was excellent as usual and was a hit with our birthday guest. THe lamb shank is amazing as was the fish special. "Ate here on a Friday night. Service was very good. Water was kept full. Chef came by to check in and talk about his dishes. "I have had lunch at Via Vite many times and this time did not disappoint. We were seated immediately, even on a work week day when the Reds were playing an afternoon game. Our service was timely and not intrusive. The food was wonderful and our waiter even made mention of my guest's birthday and offered dessert. "Ever have dinner and feel like it did not matter than you were there? You could have gotten better customer service at McDonalds. This was our experience at Via Vite. Sit..what do you want to drink..what do you want to eat. Here is your food..oh and bread..here is your bill...get out. We have more people coming in tonight...we need your table.

"Via Vite was very good as usual. The food is interesting and different. My only comment is that they have very few meatless choices and many of the dishes looked a little heavy. I had the pork lion and it was exceptional. The noise level was a little higher than I usually like but it was a busy Saturday night."

"i wanted to take my lady out to a nice dinner and i had heard some reviews about this place, so i made reservations. once we got there we were directed toward our seats by a nice friendly hostess. our waiter asked us for our drinks and we ordered a bottle of wine. once he brought back the bottle it took him several minutes to open and he even broke the cork off inside the bottle. he said he had opened many bottles before but clearly he did not, its not that hard to open a bottle of wine with a corkscrew. once we ordered our food it came out shortly afterwards. nice display of food but the portions were not compared to the prices that they cost. also my lady ordered the special, lasagna and they were out of it, not good at all."

"This was our first visit to Via Vite. It was clear that our server was fairly inexperienced, so he was a little awkward, but he tried very hard. The food was solid, but not spectacular. We had stuffed cherry peppers for a starter. They were ok, but not life-changing. I had braised lamb shank with polenta. The lamb was tasty, but not quite as tender as I would have expected. The polenta, however was creamy and excellent. My wife had the Pizza Bianca with arugula which was excellent in her estimation. They have a decent wine list. We had lemon tart with Limoncello for dessert. The tart was average but the combination worked. We will certainly go back."

"We always have a wonderful dinner at Via Vite. It's hard to choose among the salads, the main dishes and the deserts because there are so many that sound amazing. We go there for special occasions and have a full dinner with 3 courses - way more food than we normally eat. But it is also great for a light dinner, like one of the bigger starters or a big salad and a glass of wine. It is on the noisy side and they keep the courses coming, so it's not the best place for a lingering romantic dinner. But the people watching is great, both inside the restaurant and outside on Fountain Square, with is easily visible while you are dining."

"We had another delicious Sunday brunch - eggs and sausage over polenta, and a yummy asparagus and spinach quiche. I noticed two families with one child each, and saw there is a children's menu. While this is primarily an adult restaurant, I think it would work well for the "well-behaved" child. Our waiter was very sensitive to our need for timely service, as we were going to a play."

"Wonderful restaurant! We ordered the Crispy Gnocchi for an appetizer and it was great! The homemade lasagna tasted superb and the portion was so large that it was also lunch the next day! We then ordered the Caramel Complexity for dessert! Wow! Caramel gelato with a caramel mousse layered between two crispy pastries. Best dessert ever! The chef visited our table at the beginning and the end of the meal!"
