"The atmosphere and engagement of service staff was exceptional. Lunch as a special occassion and the hostess was very accomodating... I brought gift to her ealier in the day and requested a booth and mentioned it was a surprise. Upon our arrival the hostess played along with the surprise ... and my guest was impressed when arriving at our booth and the gifts were already placed on our table."

"Our waitress Holly was the BOMB, she was very attentive to all of our needs and service. Being a F&B Manger with over 5 yrs of experience I would say she is the best I ever seen!!!! Great food, compliments to Cook Marcus Medina for superb food.

"Been to this rest. at least 10 times in past 12 months. Not so good service this visit, no bread offered, entree missing major ingredient (lobster), bar order (white wine) sat on bar for about 15 min allowing it to get warm. Brought to server attention and no consideration offered other than to wait for new entree to be created in kitchen and the time already spent was over an hour from entrance to exit. THIS VISIT WAS NOT THE USSUAL FOR THIS REST. Normally the food is excellant and the service very good. Just saying....Normally the food is excellent and the service very good. Just saying.... Was not like it was not a $200.00 dinner bill for 4 when 2 of the people are my kids and no alcohol for them"

"We were there in Columbus when Cameron Mitchell opened his first Fish Market - and his second. We have visited them in various locations - and despite the sale to a national company - the restaurant has held true to its origins. The fish was fresh, served hot, and absolutely delicious. My wife had her fish Shanghai style - her favorite preparation-and it still delights. I had the Hoison style-I think that is new (or at least new to me) and it was excellent as well. And thank you for being part of Open Table-when we look for restaurants in cities away from home (we live in SW Florida), and see the Fish Market come up, it is a no brainer. It would be great if the Fish Market could come to SW Florida, and to our northern home in South Bend."

The best part of the dining experience was Katie, who did a great job of serving us and attending to our dining needs. I'd recommend asking to sit in her area when dining here."

"We were sat right by the kitchen so it was a little distracting because we could here everything going on. Our waitress forgot about us and the main course came out way after all the appetizers. They ran out of the beer that we were drinking and my order came out with the wrong sides. We eat here often, but this was not the best."

"We enjoyed the food and the ambiance very much. Our waiter provided excellent service. I had the fish and chips which were some of he best I have ever had. They had an outstanding muddled cucumber martini that was to die for. The bartender showed me how to make the martini wrote down the recipe for me. We will definitely visit here again the next time we are in Jacksonville."

"This was our first visit to Mitchell's and plan returning. The only thing we found unpleasant was the noise level due to several large parties with small crying children. Our next reservation will request a booth in the bar area. Our server was excellent and we both enjoyed our meal!"

"Food excellent, but service not. We were a party of 5, having made reservations. Waited 20 minutes for our drinks, and was told that it was happy hour at the bar and bartender was busy. Our dinners were not served as ordered -- my soup was never served, but charged on my bill, and another guest's salad was not what was ordered. Waiter noticed this and offered to take it back but, in the interest of time, we declined."

"I have been to Mitchell's many times for lunch but never dinner. It was, as usual, exceptionally good food and service. Although there were a lot of people in the main dining room, our booth provided enough privacy so that we could talk without struggling to hear each other. Our waiter was great and I'll certainly be back!"

"Both times I have visited, the service has been attentive and helpful. The food is exactly as described on the menu but the servers have been able to answer any questions we have asked. This restaurant is usually busy and can often have larger parties so although it isn't loud, it isn't a quiet restaurant either."

"We always enjoy the food at Mitchell's. The service wasn't that great though. We go to Mitchell's a lot and the service is not consistent. Sometimes it is great and other times it isn't. We needed to look for our waitress to have our water filled. She didn't ask if we wanted coffee or tea so we needed to look for her again for that. Also, she brought a box to the table to bring our dessert home in when we didn't ask for one and we weren't finished yet. She just seemed distracted and not that great."

"Overall, I was very impressed with Mitchell's. 9 fresh fish selections, excellent service, and a pleasant overall experience. Meal options included a choice of fish with numerous finishes as well as several "combo" menu items that give you the opportunity to try two or three fish selections in the same meal. The desserts are insanely large, especially the carrot cake with a 2.6 POUND slice.
I will definitely be back the next time I am in Jacksonville."
