Marcella's Italian Kitchen is a bustling, urban burst of Italian flavor and energy. Serving lunch and dinner daily, Marcella's Italian Kitchen will have a lively atmosphere – whether it be for sharing lunch, dinner or a late night snack. The dynamic bar provides a vibrant venue for sampling from a selection of 50 Italian wines served by the bottle or quartino. The Italian menu features selections of olives, meats, cheese, hot and cold small plates, as well as a variety of pizzas, pastas and Italian specialties. Marcella's Italian Kitchen brings an authentic Italian cafe to the Polaris Town Center, located across the street from Polaris Fashion Place.

"We had a reservation at Polaris but the table that was held for us was lousy and right in front of the door - subject to all of the incoming foot traffic. Why bother with a reservation, and the special treatment that it usually affords? Lasagna dinner did not even come with anything - like a salad - which I thought was a complete rip-off. Very very noisy on a Sat evening"

"I went to Marcella's for the first time and enjoyed their famous meatball, which was uniquely served in a little crockpot of its own. It was delicious, the veal was so soft and flavorful. Our host and server were both very kind.
The drinks were not impressive for the price in my opinion. Our entire evening was very enjoyable until the end. Our server was a bit overwhelmed and it took a while to get our check and when we received the check it wasn't ours and we waited quite a while to receive our actual bill. We were kind about it and I understand that those things happen but we were ready to leave and it took us about fifteen to twenty minutes to leave after we were ready to part."

"My girlfriend and I wanted something a little fancier than the typical chain restaurants, and Marcella's did not disappoint in the least. The service was excellent and the food was simply amazing. We will definitely be back when we are in the area."

"Wen I googled Mothers Day Brunch this was one of the restaurants that came up. I was disappointed when I arrived and found it was the same menu as always. We ordered spaghetti and linguine with clams. Neither were very good. Meatball was soggy, sauce horrible, and it was lukewarm. The linguine came with 2 clams. Not likely to return"

"First off the atmosphere and service were excellent at Marcella's. However, the food was only average and overpriced for what we ordered. We ordered calamari as an appitizer and when we received it, most of the plate was zuchinni. Our entres were decent portions but didn't taste fresh. I wouldn't recomment to friends."

"My family celebrated Mother's Day at Marcellas. It was expectedly very busy, and as a result, our service was not the best. "Coming from Houston, when we visit our son at OSU, we always make time to eat at Marcella's. Food and service is absolutely consistently at a high level. You can spend a lot more in Columbus but the food, service and ambience cannot be equaled. They manage to get it right every time."

Waiter was friendly enough but we waited a long time for everything, be it from our initial drinks order, to having bread brought to the table, to requests for grated cheese for the pasta. Everyone was virtually finished before the cheese was brought. Very disappointing. They were busy (saturday night) but service should not be so poor, and if overly busy waiter should apologize for obvious lack of timeliness, and he didn't."

"Having made a reservation, we were immediately seated in the very crowded restaurant. The table, a two-top would have been adequate fine but I'm assuming since they sell pizzas and need the additional space,the small table was cluttered with an elevated pizza tray and a stack of small plates. By the time the server brought our drinks, water and an appetizers, the table was cramped. Service was excellent, attentive but not pushy. The salad was large enough to split and very cold and crisp. The entrees was also well done. If you're looking for a quiet place, this isn't it. The one large,high-ceiling room is not buffered with any noise absorption so it's extremely loud, especially on a busy Sat. night."

Everything we ordered was good and the kids meals while kid friendly were better quality than you typically get at other restaurants. The only down side was that the restaurant was VERY noisy. It was nearly impossible to carry on a conversation with the others at the table."

"I have been many times. This was not very good. The Cesar salad has been changed and it is awful. please go back to the way u did it when u opened. A good salad should not look like soup. The pasta and meatball not the best I had from here. I don't know maybe a new chef who clearly does not know the recipes. Everything eles was great but if the food is not good what's the point of going back?"

"The restaurant was not busy on a Sunday evening. The waitress was not attentive and had our table of 6 and another table of six...had to ask to refill drinks, take dinner menu etc. Food was very disappointing. Very bland, nothing special. My son ordered chicken parm with alfredo sauce..the noodles had no sauce, she never came back to ask how the meals were until we were done. And could we hae found her, we would have asked for sauce.

"I must say our last dining experience to Marcellas at Polaris was very disappointing. The service which is usually outstanding was very poor. The waiter either had a bad day, was not properly trained or disliked his job. I felt the entire meal was work for my husband and me .and not at all festive or relaxing It wore us out! I doubt we will go back. There is not enough space to explain the details but we would not expect a poor meal or service as we had for the price we paid. If the waiter did his job properly we probably would have spent even more. Over all... very disappointed."

"I ordered off the Gluten free menu. I ordered the chicken parm and thought it came with liguini and it came with penne pasta. I also thought the chicken would be breaded and it wasn't. Overall I was very disappointed. The food was just ok. My husband ordered the lasagna. His meal was very dry with very little sauce and hardly any meat. He was not impressed. Our waiter was very nice but very slow to get back to us. He never asked me if I wanted another drink, so I just drank water. When we were finished it took forever for him to come back and give us the check and retrieve it."

"Had dinner with girlfriend, son, and a couple celebrating his birthday. Food was good as normal but service was horribly slow for a Sunday night. We will go back but not to celebrate another birthday. A little disappointed with service since we love to go here regularly but food was delicious."

"First time at this Cameron Mitchell restaurant. Great salad (Caesar was my choice) and the eggplant parmesan was delicious--relatively light compared to others I've had. Everyone at the table was pleased with their dishes. A little noisy, but excellent choice for Italian fare. Attentive but not in-your-face staff made for a lovely evening. As always, Cameron Mitchell stands for tasty food, excellent service and a great dining experience."

"The waiters were very helpful and there was a very versatile ambiance! I could go casually with a friend for a late afternoon dinner or lunch and then with a cocktail dress on a date! I love being able to see the kitchen and them with the fresh food."

"I loved the atmosphere! It was calm, relaxing, cozy, and romantic. Our waiter was amazing and made helpful suggestions. The food was outstanding, the stuffed mushrooms are to die for and the menu is so appealing we had a hard time deciding what we wanted! Overall, it was a great experience for my fiance and I's anniversary. We will definitely be coming back!"

"Best Italian food in Columbus! I have yet to find Italian cuisine that rivals Marcella's. They have a wide variety of food including; pasta, pizzas, meats (some which they cure), vegetarian options. I also love ending my meal with a cafe! Delightful and knowledgeable staff. The restaurant is a little dim so bring your reading glasses and kids are welcome but it's not a "kid type restaurant"."
