Tavern at the Park
Please join us on our new rooftop patio, the Tavern Tree House!! It opens Monday through Saturday at 4pm. Unfortunately, we will be unable to accept reservations for our outdoor seating. Also, OpenTable points will not be rewarded for tables going to the roof. Tavern At The Park offers acclaimed New American cuisine in an upscale decor across from beautiful Millennium Park. Deep wood tones combined with leather and stone to create an atmosphere where rich Chicago history meets modern big-city style. Crain’s Chicago Business said “this elegant tavern epitomizes Chicago style and energy.” Executive Chef Mike Clark has created a menu that is a modern interpretation of comfort-food classics, embellished with a passion for local and sustainable ingredients. In the bar, which CitySearch referred to as “an off-the-clock cocktailers' dream”, you will find a creative seasonal drink list which offers the newest intoxicating trends as well as stylish and innovative beer and wine lists.

"Our total time inside of the reastaurant was 3 hours. It took one hour to get our entrees after we recieved our appetizers. Roasted root vegetables is steamed broccoli. Mgr was made aware that our meal was taking longer than normal, the waiter was the only staff that came over. Waiter was told to take off a appetizer because of the roasted root vegt mishap."

"First time there, and VERY happy with our experience. "I know the owners of this place, so you might think I would tend to be a bit biased. However, I SWEAR, that the large filet mignon I ate on May 30, 2013, was honestly the best steak I have ever eaten, anywhere in my 41 years. I had the garlic topping, which was a heaping amount of roasted garlic smothered across the top of the steak. Maybe a bit much for some but I LOVED it. My friend ordered the pork chop special and he claims it was the best pork chop he ever ate too. I honestly did not expect the food to be this good. The ambience and service were equally as good. Absolutely no complaints or suggestions. A+, 100%, 5 stars, *****."

"I've lived in Chicago for some time now, but this was my first time visiting T&TP. I took my mother out for lunch and we ordered soup to nuts. Everything was fantastic. Make sure you check out the mussels, the ahi tuna, and the lobster roll. All great. The service was fantastic. Attentive and friendly but not intrusive. Glasses were always full. Bread was always on the table and our waiter (AJ) was always putting a smile on our faces. Thanks for a great time!"

"My girlfriend and I went here during our one night stay in the city. We were looking for a nicer place to go to but one that wasn't ridiculously expensive. We found Tavern at the Park with OpenTable and it didn't disappoint! It was relatively empty on a Wednesday night, but had a good enough crowd to have a good feel. I got the Brisket and my girlfriend got the steak sandwich which were both amazing. The brownie dessert was very good as well. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice dinner in the city."

"This was my first time dining at this restaurant. The food was good. Although our waitress was friendly and attentive, she over did it. She was too talkative and she kept referring to me and my two friends as "Mi'Lady" and "My Dear" throughout the evening. It was irritating and quite frankly annoying. Had this been a business dinner, it would have been an awkward and embarrasing."

"My friend and I made reservations on Open Table for this restaurant on 03/28/13 @ 4:00 p.m. When we arrived we were greeted unprofessional and was given to a waitress to be seated. She took us past the dining room around the kitchen to an elevator which took at least 15 minutes to arrive. When we stepped on the elevator, we were taken to the enclosed rooftop (seriously). No one was seated up there and we looked at the waitress and asked “what is this”? It was extremely hot up there; besides the dining room downstairs was completely empty. We requested to be seated in the dining room and not the roof top. The waitress herself did not know why we were being seated on the rooftop, but was following instructions. Even the staff up ther"
