Across from the ocean, this elegant dining room serves classic American food with a special touch. Union Park Dining Room received New Jersey Monthly Magazine's 2005 thru 2011 Critics Choice Award as one of the best restaurants in New Jersey. Working his magic behind the scenes, chef John Schatz has overseen the kitchens of some sophisticated eateries in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area, including the former Maureen's in Cape May. The large, spacious dining rooms with their fireplaces, cherry & mahogany furniture & antique fixtures are romance personified. Settle in for a memorable meal.

"We have eaten at Union Park several times and have always been happy with the food and the service. The atmosphere is relaxed elegance. The food is adventurous without being over the top with crazy ingredients or weird combinations. I had New England clam chowder which was wonderful and not too heavy. The salmon was very nicely done served with a potato/

"My husband and I decided to visit Cape May for our one year anniversary and booked reservations at Union Park based on reviews we read online. To our surprise it turned out to be right down the street from the B&B we were staying at. The restaurant was very classy, and the wait staff very professional but not in a pretentious way. We were early enough for the pre-fixe menu and it turned out to be perfect. We tried the salads, both delicious and the salmon and short rib main courses were cooked perfectly. We tried both desserts, yummy creamy vanilla bean ice cream and fruit tart with a delicious creme anglais on it. Overall the dinner was lovely and the pre fixe menu was a great deal!"

"This was our first visit to Union Park since they had closed for 6 months for renovations. The wait was worth it! The bruschetta appetizer was perfect as was the special strip steak entree. My wife's chicken was spectacular! It was like an old friend had come back home after a long absence. We can't wait for our next visit."

"We dined at Union Park this past weekend in Cape May. We had an early reservation since we were attending a concert in nearby Wildwood. We ordered the early bird special and everything was DELICIOUS! My husband and I both ordered the salmon. We loved that we could BYOB. The atmosphere and service were both top notch. We will definitely return!"
