"We were looking for a waterfront dining experience and we found a gem. The ocean view is spectacular, service outstanding and food good enough to please someone that has eaten her way through Boston' s finest! Raves from my party of 4 from the apps., to chowder and salads then onto eggs benedict, lamb, steak and lobster salad. Can't wait to return."

"We would recommend this to anyone for a special occasion. Because we do not live in the area we will have to try it for lunch when we are in RI again. Great ambiance and music was soft and lovely. "We came for brunch on Mothers Day which required an advance reservation because the place is so popular. The outdoor eating is great, but even inside is beautiful because the large windows open wide for the breeze weather permitting. The food was delicious, especially the oysters on the half shell. The staff was friendly and efficient but not intrusive. Bloody Mary was spicy and delicious, lobster roll very good, and the brunch items, especially the Newport Benedict, very good right down to the fresh fruit. We're looking forward to our next visit."

"Love the Boat House. We discovered it about last fall and have been back número use time for lunch and dinner. The food is always fresh and perfectly cooked. "You can't beat The Boathouse for a seafood lunch or dinner or just drinks on a summer afternoon. The decor is very tasteful and the water views can't be beat. The attentive staff and menu filled with local bounty only add to the overall experience. We were celebrating three birthdays and our lovely waitress surprised us with a creme brulee serving topped with a lit candle. We lingered long after our lunch (on a quiet spring weekday) and just enjoyed the atmosphere."

"Our second time for dinner at the Boat House. The first time the weather was warm and the windows were wide open with a light breeze blowing in. This time was cool, so windows were closed, but the sunset view over the water was gorgeous nonetheless. We came for my brother's birthday; he drove an hour from Boston area and loved the restaurant. Said he would definitely go back. We all had the prix fixe menu, which offered three appetizer choices, three entree choices and two dessert choices. I had the mussels to start and the salmon for the main course; both were delicious as was the banana cake with maple ice cream. There's something elegant and open and fresh about the restaurant's decor that will definitely keep us coming back."

"First time in Rhode Island and we found this restaurant in a book that the hotel had in the room for people who wanted to explore Rhode Island. My boyfriend and I looked up the place and food looked decent as well as the view and prices. But once we got there we knew we underestimated this place. Service was amazing as well as the view. It's a very romantic place for any occasion. I wouldn't considered it a family place to take kids. Food was beyond impeccable. Our server was patient and understanding. Gave us dessert on the house because we've never tried gelato before!! It's definitely somewhere that you would have to experience in Rhode Island."

"Speaking to a friend about exploring Tiverton, she said,"Go to the Boathouse for lunch." I called to be sure you were open. The hostess suggested that I make reservations, so I did. Just the drive down the long hill to the water, left us impressed. What a charming venue! My friends raved about their food. I had a fields green salad with a taste I have never experience. The chicken sandwich was delicious-the aioli, the frissee, the chicken cooked to perfection. Then the chef had added a dessert for the day- chocolate mousse cake- to die for. Broke the diet but this was well worth every single solitary calorie. My friends spent the rest of the day thanking me for finding the Boathouse. We'll be back! Only suggestion- NEVER CHANGE!"

"This was our 3rd time dining at the Boat House. The first time a year ago, second time one summer evening last year and this time to have dinner on Easter Sunday. Each and every time the food has been consistently good and not boring. Portions are ideal--not overwhelming. Food not over-salted and very fresh. Excellent salad and dessert was superb. We were happy again with our restaurant choice and despite it being very busy on this holiday, they did not skip a beat on quality of food and service."

"If this restaurant wasn't on the water it would be a complete miss. The prices are high for the quality of food. I've been to several other restaurants that are part of the Newport restaurant group and have never been dissatisfied until I went to the Boat House. Don't know hoe they dropped the ball on this one but some how they just don't have the same standards here as they do with their other restaurants."

"We have a "history" of enjoying various parts of the Newport Restaurant group......esp. Moorings and 22 Bowens. It was a rewarding joy to discover the same traits of service above and beyond, regional ambience, and excellent, well prepared and served food. The Boat House will become a definite part of repeat visits."

"We always love the Boathouse and this time did not disappoint. We had the salmon, scallops, and fish stew entrees and everyone loved them. The bartender concocted a special rum drink for our birthday girl and her dessert was "on the house".
They were very kind in accomodating our 10 month old grand daughter who was there to help celebrate her Mom's birthday. We were seated at a lovely window table.
We had a great time on a very cold and snowy night in Tiverton!"

"Beautiful upscale yet unpretentious restaurant on the water. The food was excellent. I dined with 3 other people and everyone raved about their meals. Our server Cory was also excellent...always checking in yet not overbearing or rushed. The meals came out at a comfortable pace. Overall, it was a lovely night and dining experience! Highly recommend it!"
