Splendido at the Chateau offers fine Rocky Mountain dining featuring imaginative and refined American-European cuisine in the warmth and tranquility of a French chateau. Dinner is served seven nights a week in our beautiful dining room or on our gorgeous deck overlooking Beaver Creek Village. Splendido offers entertainment by Peter Vavra and Kathy Morrow in the piano bar. We also offer dining for groups or weddings.
"Splendido is one of my favorite restaurants in Beaver Creek. We come on vacation to Beaver Creek several times each year and Splendido is always consistent with their outstanding food and service. We always look forward to dinners here."

"While there aren't tons of choices for dining at Beaver Creek, this was a disappointment. For example, our steak was good, but the side dishes weren't anything special. We left feeling that the pricing was not in line with the quality of the food. The decor of the dining room was the highlight of the experience."

"A great evening was had by all with a broad selection of a teasingly tasty menu! Our salads were different and very delicious. The elk was out of this world and cooked to perfection as well as the fillet! The others loved their seafood dishes. Their Flatbread is very addictive, and I enjoyed way to much as well as the bread with fragrant olive oil and a beautifully aged balsamic vinegar."

"We love Splendido. The food is superb. The staff is friendly. The ambiance is incredible. Our children enjoy the dinner as well. They have a nice kids menu with healthy food. We would not miss a dinner, or 2, at Splendido when we are in town."

"Our group of four had a wonderful dinner at Splendido. The servers were very attentive and even allowed us to tour the kitchen as it was a quiet evening. The dinner was superb and the flambé dessert amazing. It was such a memorable, lovely evening."

"We had a wonderful table by a window and could see the kitchen. Nice variety, incredible fois gras with candied kumquats. I had the buffalo, done to perfection. My wife had the flounder. She did not enjoy the tableside fillet, but still bragged about the overall dinner experience. Even the drive up is incredible!"

"We visit Beaver Creek same time each year and never leave without a meal at Splendido's, which is always part of the reason we come to BC, aside from the skiing. As usual, subtle and friendly service that is always knowledgable and finds the balance of service without interruption, which is a talent in itself. The food is always fabulous. My daughter's tenderloin was prepared to perfection and she did not leave a morsel on her plate. The tomato soup tasted like summer although we are just into Spring. And my Dover sole which was filleted at table side was delicate and tender while the sauce brought out the best of everything there is to the sole. The lemon souffle just floated on our palates. Thanks again for a lovely BC evening!"

"We have been to Splendido at the Chateau many times while vacationing in Beaver Creek. Each and every time we have a fantastic meal. We usually have children of various ages with us and the are always very happy with the kids menu. The dining area near the kitchen is worth requesting. The beautiful copper and white tile kitchen is run with precision. There is no panic and everyone works together. It is fun to watch and definitely a testament to how a kitchen should be run. Try the Elk Loin for a melt in your mouth experience. Or if you prefer seafood the crab cake appetizer will amaze you with its ability to stay together with the very minimum of binder. I had the Halibut which was cooked to perfection and served with asian veggies."

"We had four different meals - the lamb was horribly gamey! Halibut non discript. Kids shrimp ok. The only meal that was worth the trip was the elk. We own a home in the area and stopped going to this Restaurent because of the attitude of the staff and poor service. We thought we would try it once again because we had friends in town. Things had not changed. We were pretty much ignored the entire meal with the Restaurents "favorites" getting all of the attention. Dessert menus were left on the table & no one returned to take our order for 35 minutes.... After the meal when we asked about the car we valet parked. The several staff that were standing around they said the car was parked out side and we should go get it ourselves. Don't go!"

"There is no getting around the fact that this is an expensive restaurant even by Vail/Beaver Creek standards so the question that has to be answered is whether it's worth the price. For us, the answer was a resounding "Yes". Service and ambiance was outstanding and the food was truly excellent. We were seated not too far from the sparkling, all copper kitchen so we could see the chefs at work. I had one of the best racks of lamb I've ever eaten, my wife had a delicious halibut topped with crab meat and my son loved his fork tender elk loin. Appetizers were delicious and we were able to enjoy a glass of excellent wine with our meals. Great place for a special occasion. But remember your wallet!"

"Consistently one of the top restaurants in the Vail Valley. Incredible food, great service. Waiter was extremely well informed about the preparation of every dish and this restaurant teeters on the top of my list. My only nitpick was the Beef Tartar - while it was good the ingredients really overwhelmed the beef, if it were not for this Splendido would be my #1. I will be back, in fact already looking forward to it!"

"Very Pricey, but excellent food and service. Our waiter Jason, could not have been better. The lamb was the best lamb my husband has ever had. I had the sole and it was perfect and the dessert was some kind of fig cake with sticky sauce and was fabulous. Best meal of the trip by far."

"Absolutely fantastic food in the hills around Beaver Creek. The Chateau is a fine residential property tucked away from the main part of Beaver... but worth visiting. From the attentive and smart bartender to the highly professional hostess to the friendly and helpful waiters. The table we had was next to the pristine, copper-lined open kitchen that was bustling with chefs. For fine dining in the mountains, Splendido has it figured out. Good for a party of 2, 4, 6 or 8. Hard for larger groups and NOT the kind of place kids would enjoy (nor would the other adults enjoy the kids). Great, albeit pricy wine selection, fresh seafood entres are standouts and unique appetizers make this a "must" for foodies. Valet parking, full bar, piano music."

"This was our second visit to Splendido. We celebrated a birthday and had a wonderful time with a great ambiance, food and wine. The live piano bar was a perfect touch for the experience. Our sommelier was very knowledgable and easy to work with. The only disappointment was the fact that our waiter was not experienced to the level you would expect for this restaurant."

"Beaver Creek has a dynamic dining scene & Splendido is, to us, one of the top restaurants on the mountain! Everything from start to finish was perfect! Our friendly, but discreet wait person was very helpful in our selections. As a party of six, we all chose different entrees and were all very pleased with our choices. The "foodies" at our table were very impressed as well & thoroughly enjoyed being able to watch the kitchen "in action". While we did not bring our little ones to dinner, there were a few tables with children & they seemed to be enjoying their meals as well. Splendido is not inexpensive, but is well worth it! We will definitely go back next time we are in BC."

"This restaurant is simply the very best restaurant in Beaver Creek, CO.!! We were seated at the Chef's Table and even my husband who is NOT a foodie enjoyed himself, watching all the goings on in the kitchen. The wait staff was thoughtful and professional. Our visit from the owner and chef, David Walford, was engaging and warm."
